I have been seeing Dr.Ting for over a year. Dr Ting and his staff are the best, from the moment you enter the office to scheduling your next appointment they are always friendly and very knowledgeable. I definitely would refer Dr.Ting and his staff!

Was uncomfortable, will not be going back. Felt a little violated

This guy needs his medical license revoked- not only did he almost kill my wife under his "care" that required a second emergency surgery from all the internal bleeding he left from his mistakes but now he's completely left her needing answers and is in worse pain then she was in before. He treats her worse every time she goes in there now, she barely see him for two minutes before he disappears and refuses to fix his mess up, refuses pain meds or gives her a medical release. Wished we would of known sooner how terrible of a surgeon his is- he would of never touched her if we did. Go find someone else to be seen by- I'd never want anyone else done wrong like he has done her. This isn't right and my wife will probably be messed up for the rest of her life because of him. Beware ladies.... he can't be trusted.

I've only had a few visits at this office and with Dr. Ting, but so far, I've been impressed with his open-mindedness. I'm on my third pregnancy and had what the OB world considers “late prenatal care.” I had a handful of Mercy physicians that were happy to provide me with prenatal care, but it was important for me to deliver at Cox. I attempted to find a provider at nearly every Cox-owned OBGYN office. After making me jump through numerous hoops of getting medical records transferred time and time again, they all denied me prenatal care. Essentially saying I was too late for them to provide prenatal care. Being as I just started my 3rd trimester and my baby isn't here yet, that was really confusing to me. I essentially was punished for not having adequate prenatal care by not providing me prenatal care. I happen to be someone who falls in the grey area of our messed up insurance in the United States. I work too much and make too much money to qualify for Medicaid, but I also can't afford to jump on a private insurance plan the minute I get pregnant and pay a few thousand dollars a month. When I found out I was pregnant, I made the best decision for myself, my family, and our finances. I did not anticipate having the pushback I have received from the majority of Cox-owned OBGYN offices to provide me with prenatal care. Fortunately, I found Dr. Ting. His office scheduled an appointment without requiring me to jump through multiple hoops of transferring records before even accepting me. Simply being a pregnant woman in need of prenatal care was good enough for them. At my first appointment, he got me caught up on any tests I was lacking and the medication I needed. Not once have I been made to feel inadequate. The United States continues to have one of the highest mortality rates of pregnant women, and it's not surprising. Most of the time, you can blame it on race disparities or financial disparities, but in my case, it has been closed-minded physicians that refused to provide me prenatal care because I was coming to them later than they would have liked. As well as impersonal office processes that create a gap between physician and patient. I literally wanted to apologize to them for not qualifying for Medicaid. I believe Dr. Ting's open-mindedness to care for all pregnant women, no matter their gestation is a step in the right direction to improve maternal health in the United States, as well as proof that he does care for women as well as his labor and delivery staff. Being a labor and delivery nurse myself, I know that it’s much more convenient to care for a pt. that has her 28-week diabetes screen completed, 37 week GBS status known and knows whether or not she has high blood pressure. Dr. Ting is making sure I have all that. But guess what? Even if a patient doesn’t have all of that, her baby is going to get delivered either way, and life is going to be ok. Dr. offices may be able to handpick patients, but Labor and Delivery nurses don’t get to. It should never be too late to get prenatal care; apparently, Dr. Ting knows that. This is what makes me happy he is my Dr. and reassured that he is able to make good judgment calls.

Dr ting is the best doctor I have ever had. He delivered my second, and the delivery was night and day difference compared to my first. He was honest, kind, compassionate and very thorough. I trust him with my life and the lives of my children. Would highly recommend if you are looking for someone who will look out for the best interest of you, and who will give you honest feedback. He cares about his patients and it truly shows.

Dr. Ting is one in a million in a good way for anyone that has actually went to him. If you haven’t gone to him, leaving a negative comment or bashing him all over the internet is actually defamation of character and is illegal. There is cultural differences, dry sense of humor. How we, he is knowledgeable, caring and dedicated to each patient he has. He never forgets a face, a case or the details of everything involved. He is calm and collective and tries to get you to be the same, that is why he makes silly comments and jokes. Do they always work or make sense no. However they come with the best intentions .8 have had questions and had him draw me a picture and explain that way to ensure I understood fully as I told him I couldn’t understand him. He didn’t want to leave without me knowing everything and having all my questions answered. I have seen my best friend and nice deliver babies with him. He was wonderful!! I wish he delivered my child as he was that great. He saved my life and changed my life and is beyond the best. If you have questions talk to his real patients not fake ones following what’s popular.

I have been to several doctors over the years with all of my health concerns. I currently see Dr. Ting, 2 specialist, and my general doctor. Dr. Ting has been my favorite doctor of all time since we met. He makes me feel heard, and will do whatever it takes to ease my mind if I think something is wrong. He truly cares about his patients, and makes that very clear. He doesn’t make me feel rushed out, and asks if I have any questions he can answer before I leave every appointment. He makes sure I am 100% comfortable with any medical decision we make. I have absolutely progressed since I started seeing him. I’d recommend him over and over again.

Highly recommend Dr. Ting to ANYONE who is interested in educated care for themselves or babies. I had Dr. Ting for 3 of the four of my kids. I was out of state for one of my kiddos or he would have delivered all 4 of them! If your looking for someone to pacify you this is not the place for you! Dr. Ting is highly educated, experienced and fantastic at patient care. He definitely goes above and beyond to care for his patients. If your looking for knowledgeable, honest and to the point care..... This is your Doctor!!

Excited for the arrival of our 3rd baby very soon! Dr Ting has been great with the full process of all 3 pregnancies and deliveries! He has great bedside manner and is personable! He always asks about the whole family! I would recommend him to anyone and have referred many to him that have also had great experiences!

He truly cares & is amazing!! He has an odd sense of Humor as I’m dry. He always has student with him as he is a great teacher and is sooo incredibly smart. He has been around for so long and has years of experience, he knows things without results because he is smart and has suggestions and recommendations due to working in the field for so lo no. Some time you have an idea without results and sometimes he is joking. You can always ask him or tell him how you feel and he will apologize and he will tell you he is joking. He tries to ease you with the jokes. I wouldn’t want to have anyone else in my delivery room 10-10 the best!!

20/10 will explain as much as you want him to. He loves to teach. He does make jokes he thinks are funny, but just tell him you don’t like it. He remembers everything about everyone for years! A steel trap. This is why so many med and PA students intern with him. He is one in a million. Wouldn’t go to anyone else.

I've had 3 children. All through different doctors. Not bc I'm picky. 1 stopped practicing and I moved. Sorry for the long review. I really wanted to explain how their billing process cost you more. Also, just some other things I noticed. Not too long after going to Ting, my husband and I were surprised that his rating was so high on Google. We started doing some research. His score was lower outside Google. Actually some reviewers suggested his employees write fake reviews on Google. We saw several reviews say Dr. Ting will push you towards a c-section. This couldn't be less true in our situation. I had a c-section with my 2nd bc she was breech. My 3rd was born 19 months later so just over the 18th month mark. He was a large baby. Dr. Ting was confident that I could do a VBAC no matter what.. size of the baby. Past 40 weeks.. etc. He didn't really seem concerned with risk. His answer to EVERYTHING was "you're tall and skinny".. I was high risk with my first 2 pregnancies - gestational diabetes. The 2nd time it was severe... but Dr. Ting could never remember. He would just say you're good. You're tall and skinny. Also, I want to note that Dr. Ting said I would have to test my glucose 7 times a day if I had gestational diabetes. Beware if you know you're at risk. I thought he was funny. He tries to play professional but he isn't the sensitive type like others have said. So to billing. My first 2 doctors - They told me the cost for delivery. They had already called insurance to find out my coinsurance. I picked my delivery plan and they would set up a payment plan for 20% (coinsurance) of the delivery cost. Both doctors filed one lump sum at the end. There were very few expenses prior to delivery. For comparison purposes - my payment plan for my 2nd child - 19 months prior - same insurance - $60 Ting's billing process - I showed up the first appt. His wife says well your deductible is $2500 so we need to collect roughly $225 a month or $1500. Nothing about cost of delivery. They bill per visit. My co pay is $60 for specialist so I was out $60 a visit. They want a urine sample every visit. Never had to do this. I get a letter from my insurance saying they billed over $1,000 for one of the urine samples so I stopped leaving one unless they asked. My husband and I confronted Dr. Ting about that particular bill and cost of delivery. He said there was no set cost and they pretty much try to get every cent they can. That's norm but I'm guessing my previous doctors got the contract price when they called at the beginning so I wasn't in the dark. So far we're at $60 an appt vs $225. I was also out the co-pay. Imagine if you get pregnant after April. You would be pregnant one year. delivery next.. Charging per visit doesn't help you at all when it comes to your deductible. The final thing that really got me was Dr. Ting's wife received some "strange letters" from my insurance asking for a refund of $133. She did not call the insurance. I was due a $900 refund bc luckily my son was born 12.31. She called to tell me she was sending $240 bc of these letters. Get this.. part of the refund requested by my ins was from that $1000 urine test we asked Ting about which he admitted they send high numbers in hopes of getting the max payout. She said that since my insurance was requesting those funds returned, she wasn't only taking it out of my money but she was also keeping the amount my insurance had them write off originally. So we went from $900 to $240 bc they wanted $133 returned. I called my insurance company and they said they sent the wrong tax ID. I called and left a message for his wife. I never heard back but I received my $900 in the mail. His wife is unprofessional and will talk to you about your business while you're in the waiting room. She seems nice but unequipped for the job. Highly recommend Dr. Ting and his team. My wife and I went to him through the pregnancy of our daughter. He is so funny and very nice. Being in the LGBT community, we were very nervous about picking an OBGYN. We are sooo glad we chose Dr. Ting. He made us very comfortable throughout the whole pregnancy and delivery. He was very attentive in the delivery room, and did everything he could to make my wife comfortable. We could tell he really cares about his patient's and their babies. His staff at the office is amazing too. Makayla is very sweet and always greeted us with a smile. Overall, outstanding job from this doctor and all staff that we had contact with. Dr Ting and the staff are amazing. You won’t find a better OBGYN than Dr. Ting. He is kind and he cares, he is funny and will sit and talk with you. I’ve been going to him for 5 years and recommend him to EVERYONE! I would give 10 stars if I could. You will not regret coming to see him.

Dr. Ting is an exceptional physician. He delivered my 5th child and I would say he was the best out of all the different doctors that delivered my children. He cares about his patients and it shows. He has helped me with other concerns as well!

Dr.Ting knows his stuff 100٪ you ever have questions call him. Yes there's time where you will call and he doesnt pick up that's only because he's out delivering a baby, and once he's back in the office he will call you back.

The last couple of appointments have been horrible. I was charged for 2 tests that were not supposed to be done. I was told the test was for something else that I needed to get done. But when I got the bill in the mail, I was charged for 2 tests that should have never happened, and didn't even get the test i needed. When I called, nothing could be done because the tests were already completed. (Which I paid almost 200 to get done at another place which is why I didn't need those tests in the first place). Dr. Ting is a great obgyn and hes funny he likes to make people! Its great place altogether! The staff are very kind and helpful! I would recommend Dr. Ting obgyn to anyone that is pregnant and looking for great doctor for there pregnancy! :)

I switched to Dr. Ting after going to my first prenatal appointment with a different doctor. I'm so glad I did! He listens to his patients and he is extremely nice! I'm from Texas, so I had to go off of Googl reviews. So happy I have found Dr. Ting!

Dr. Ting and his staff treated us amazingly. By far the best Doctors office I’ve ever been to. They made it easier to enjoy my entire pregnancy with no worries. For a first time mom that was extremely important.

Delivered both of my children. Saved the life of my second by trusting his gut and going a c section after a failed stress test. Baby had a collapsed lung and would have coded if delivered vaginally. Love him and his dry humor.

At my last appointment with Dr Ting I brought a list of questions and he goes 'you haven't asked Dr Google yet? That's what he's there for' and my internal response was that google isn't delivering my baby. When I actually asked the questions on my paper, the ones about delivery without medication, he said 'You like pain?' And I said 'No but I know my body was built for this and I'm confident I can do it' he said 'let me pinch your vagina and see what you say then, most people will change their minds' then he totally blew off my concern for having a birth plan. Apparently 'having a baby' is his only birth plan. Unfortunately he didn't seem to have an ideal supportive bedside manner. He had no consideration for 'my body and baby, my choices' Dr. Ting didn't discuss test results until I asked about them. He told me the ultrasound tech would have told me if anything was wrong on the anatomy ultrasound, but the techs aren't doctors and I wasn't aware they could diagnose fetal conditions...

An absolute genius surgeon! He has been my GYN for the past 11 years. He is extremely knowledgeable , kind and understanding. I highly recommend him!

Then his nurse offered to set me up for 'exploratory surgery' to figure out what is causing my pain. I work as an accountant and there are days it is very difficult to concentrate on work and my blood pressure goes sky high when I am in pain. I do not know what all these people see about this OB/GYN doctor. My wife had her 2nd miscarriage and he proceeded to tell her she should just have her tubes removed and not try to have kids anymore. He was very cold to the whole situation. Not caring about her feelings or emotions. All he did was repeat himself over and over again about making sure he got paid and that she doesn't need to have kids. Like some of the other reviewers stated, the people working the front desk at his office were rude and did not care to talk as loud as they wanted about our situation. Completely unprofessional. I went to him for a 3rd pregnancy and found out he had switched to only Cox instead of both Cox and mercy. We told him we might consider Cox that we hadn't made a decision. I had a pap smear done and was told it would take a week for results and had blood drawn...I remember because I had a big bruise from where they drew the blood. His ultrasound machine was down that day so I went back a week later. They blew two veins that day trying to draw more blood and not one word about my pap smear results or anything. I had then decided I wanted to switch to mercy where I had my other two babies at. I prefer mercy over Cox. No Dr should treat u any different because you are switching but I just felt unwanted. I went to my first appointment with my new mercy Dr and she informed me that my pap smear had came back abnormal. This is a month after my visit with Dr ting, plenty of time for him to call me with results. I also found out at my first appointment with Dr ting that I had a UTI but was never informed of that or given anything to help with it. In 2013 I had my oldest. We both had a fever when he was born and come to find out Dr ting left the night after I had my son overseas on vacation. My placenta was discarded but come to find out we didn't find any infection n my son or me. 2015 I had my second son with Dr ting and after I had him had a pap smear. I was informed it was abnormal and had a biopsy. I got told yes it's abnormal but everything is fine. When I told my mercy Dr about all of this she said I should have had even more testing done that it doesn't just come back as "abnormal." She said something is wrong and we will figure it out. I call this malpractice not informing me of test results or even caring n that matter. I liked Dr ting at first but just because I switched Drs he treated me with disrespect and ended our last appointment with really bad bedside manners. I did not ask for any information to be disclosed I want to know why my pap smear results and UTI situation was not told me when the results were in why did my new Dr have to be the one to inform me when I should have been told the next week when I came back for the ultrasound? I was new to the Springfield area, and went to a previous OBGYN, who turned out awful. I experienced an early miscarriage, and the previous doctor abandoned me, did not care when I called with issues, and never followed up with me. That is the last thing you want in a doctor. Ting is the complete opposite. He took me in as if he had known me and my whole story. He was there for me, when my previous doctor should have been. He has drawn my blood himself, he has taken the time to call me back, he answers every question I have and more. When you go to Springfield OBGYN, I promise that you are NOT just a number. They truly care about you, your health, and whatever your journey may be. If you're new to TTC and having problems, PLEASE take the time to see Ting. A friend of mine referred me to Springfield obgyn and I am beyond pleased i went prenatal care. Dr.ting an his associates go above and beyond to make sure all of your needs are met and more. Everyone is friendly and do their best to make you comfortable. Throughput the duration of your time as a patient. I would recommend anyone who is looking for an ob to go here! Dr. Ting has been my OB/GYN since I was 20. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dr. Ting. He makes you feel very comfortable and its like seeing a family member. Excellent bed side manners.

Dr. Ting and his staff are a wonderful, caring group of people. I would recommend this office to anyone needing OBGYN care. Dr. Ting has a great sense of humor and always made me feel comfortable. He truly cares about the well-being and safety of his patients.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Dr. Ting and his nurses are all absolutely amazing! He always listened to my concerns, and always made me feel comfortable. He always assured me my labor would go well when I was beyond terrified. My labor experience was wonderful as well! I most definitely recommend Dr. Ting to anybody!

Dr. Ting is a top tier physician. He is a great active listener and helps answer questions in terms you can actually understand. I never feel rushed during my appointments with him. He makes you feel like your time is just as valuable as his own. I highly recommend Springfield OBGYN for all OBGYN needs.

Best in town!! Dr. Ting and his staff are amazing! He has done so many great things for my family but my favorite story is the birth of my second child. I had gone into labor early and my daughter was about three weeks early. At first everything was fine but one of the nurses noticed that she had difficulty breathing in the nursery so for safety measures they decided to put her in Nicu. They started her on antibiotics. Everything ended up being fine but since she had started the antibiotics she had to finish them. I was staying in the hospital so I could breast-feed her every two hours. Everyone knows once the baby is born the baby is turned over to the pediatrician but one night at 3 am I had gone down to feed her and to my surprise Dr.Ting had pulled up a chair and was sitting by her bed side with her little hand wrapped around his pinky finger. Dr. Ting is by far the best obgyn! He not only delivered myself and my siblings, but both of my children and lots of my families children too! I’ll never go to any other doctor. Dr ting is by far the best there is! He delivered both of my girls. I even moved back here from Florida just to have him as my dr and deliver my second baby. I recommend everyone to him. He has a great sense of humor and is always reassuring. His team is also so welcoming and always super friendly they really make you feel at home. I have worked with many physicians in the area and picked Dr. Ting to take care of me and my child. Dr. Ting and staff not only gave our family an amazing experience and treated us like family, they provided high level care. Can't understand a word they're saying and not helpful at all

My experience with him is he does not handle things professionally at all. He will act one way to your face, and another when your not around. Does not explain things and I still have not got test results that we’re taken well over a month ag0

He is an amazing obgyn. My daughters cord was wrapped around her neck and he saved her. I will never go to another obgyn, hes amazing! And he will make you laugh!

Dr. Ting and his team are fantastic! I can tell that he genuinely cares about my well-being. I have never had a doctor so personable and understanding. I'm happy to make a longer drive for his treatment.

Dr.Ting is my most favorite OB I've EVER had. I have been a patient of his for almost 2 years. He is truly a good dr, and if anyone says other wise I would question the kind of person they are and whats wrong with them! He is a genuine man, who cares about each one of his patients. He does not rush you out, he comes in does his job, listens to your concerns and questions and takes care of you fully. He's also funny, and kind! I love this dr!! I would recommend him to anyone that likes a smart, funny, and kind Dr, who makes the appointment go smoothly and explains what he is doing very well. He delivered me and all of my siblings, along with my oldest child! We are going with him with this pregnancy as well. He is a very genuinely caring man. He shows respect and loves to hear your point-of-you. He is such a great doctor and my daughter would NOT be here if it was not for him. I have never met a doctor with better bedside manner than Dr. Ting. He is an incredible obgyn and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my pregnancies. His office staff is always so friendly and professional. I recommend Dr. Ting to anyone needing an excellent care provider.

I had the pleasure of following Dr. Ting and his staff for the last 6 weeks. My grade has already been submitted so I have free reign to be brutally honest in this review. ;) Honestly, they are the best. I saw firsthand how caring him and his staff are towards their patients. You are never just another face to them. They remember you and small details about you, making every visit feel very personalized. Dr. Ting is the absolute best! He takes his time with each patient and answers every question you have. You're never rushed through your appointment. It can be a very nervous experience going to an OBGYN, whether you're there for an annual visit, a personal problem, or care for your pregnancy, but Dr. Ting has a very comforting presence that puts you at ease. Plus he's hilarious! He's also very direct and blunt, so if you answer a question, he will answer it honestly. You are definitely in the best hands when you choose to go to Springfield OBGYN! If I could give this dr a zero star I would I was so disappointed throughout my whole pregnancy I would leave crying every single time, Ting and his staff do NOT listen to you I remember telling him how horrible I felt at my 12 week apt and I was told it’d likely get worse, my blood pressure was high through out my whole pregnancy , which should have been taken care of, this led to an unwanted induction and c-section. He ruined my entire experience for his arrogance and ego. Would not recommend!

Horrible had planned c-section he decided to induce labor without consent. My baby almost died from his actions.

He delivered my two youngest babies and i do not regret going to him one bit....wonderful doctor!!

He delivered my second baby. It was taking forever it seems but as soon as he walked in he took a look realized she was stuck on my pubic bone. He quickly readjusted her and less than 7 minutes later she was here. He did an amazing job. Currently pregnant with my 3rd and he will be delivering this baby aswell

Dr. Ting is great! I am glad I went with him and had him deliver my daughter. He helped my understand everything and respected all my wishes. He did awesome and I definitely recommend him.

On 12/11/2015, my DIL went into labor 10 weeks early. Her OB was away and Dr. Ting was covering for him. We were new to the area, DIL was young and this was her first baby and..it was very early! Dr. Ting kept the entire family updated on momma and baby progress, explained what he was doing and why, and was able to keep the little one inside until the agreed date of 12/13/2015..when her regular OB delivered the baby. Flash forward..my daughter is pregnant and seeing an OB. She has been shuffled off to several OB's in the practice and is concerned about her care. August 2016, she is 7 months pregnant and approaches Dr. Ting to take over her care and bless that man, he does! There were issues..to much amniotic fluid, ect..but..on 10/26/2016..Dr. Ting delivered a perfect baby boy! Dr. Ting allowed 4 family members in the room and really made it such a GREAT experience for a first time momma, a "smother", and the family. Daughter goes in for an after delivery check up. Dr. Ting discovered some very abnormal cells and situations. The next few weeks were appointments, biopsies, removal of portions of the cervix, ect.. Dr. Ting went above and beyond explaining tests, impact on her life and future, and what was going on. My daughter was lucky..it was not cancer and Dr. Ting got everything under control. How much do we trust Dr. Ting and his staff?? While my daughter was going through the above..we drove 170 miles round trip for each appointment with Dr. Ting!! He is the only OB we will use and we will continue driving the 170 miles to do so!! My DIL is scheduled to see him next week for infertility treatment and I will be seeing him next month for "women problems". I would recommend Dr. Ting to everybody..without hesitation!! Dr. Ting is an amazing Doctor he has been my OB for 10 years. He has delivered two of my baby's and I'm currently expecting a third. Dr. Ting is great if I ever have any issues with anything not just my Pregnancy needs he is always there to help figure out any other health problems I have questions about. Everytime I've delivered he has made sure that I'm completely comfortable. He is very attentive and always makes you feel at ease.
