Dr. Matthew Thomas is knowledgeable, compassionate, and accomodative. His team, at Sarasota Memorial hospital, is emphatic and professional. I highly recommend these transformational ECT treatments. Dr. Thomas is someone I trust completely to effectively administer this procedure. I utilized their services over a dozen times. Hopefully, I will not require additional sessions, due to the improvement in my mental health. However, I wouldn't hesitate to use Dr. Thomas again if they are necessary. Dr does not exist , phone number and info not acurate

Our daughter put herself in the hospital because she was overly medicated for anxiety and depression. Dr. Thomas was her psychiatrist. He was excellent! He listened to her and helped more than any doctor she has ever had in her life! He found the best treatment for her. We are eternally grateful!

I also feel Dr Thomas has saved my life several times in the course of my Major Depressive Disorder lows. Yes the wait time is always over an hour at his office.... a small price to pay for the benefits of his excellent care. He is also one of the very few psychiatrists in my region that performs ECT. He is a wonderfully caring & compassionate mental health doctor with a calm, quiet, soothing demeanor and the patience of Job.

Seems like a good doctor, but definitely pushes his opinions and preferences for treatment like a used car salesman rather than actually consider the patients concerns or comfort with the situation. Although this is not anything he can help, the support staff at the hospital he practices at are very unprofessional and uncaring.

Dr. Thomas saved my life. Who cares about how long you have to wait to see him? Bring a book. He is worth every minute.
