Dr Nelson was very cordial and explained himself in a very easily understandable way. My wife and I felt very good after the visit and we’re completely satisfied with the action plan he suggested

Horrible! On my medical records, the whole truth is missing from this doctor! My test should have taken, an hour and a half test, I was there in the room for 4.5 hours! (Short Verison) I was taking a stress test, the IV one. After being given the medication, quit a few times, I stated something is wrong. All of a sudden I went 100% paralyze, from head to toe. Staff was shocked and kept stating this has never happen to before. DR Nelson came in, and his bedside manner was horrible. He was talking on the phone about another patient (something happened to the patient) when he came in and left, I wasn't able to see him, for I couldn't move my head. Nelson, Never gave me 100% of his time. (1% of his time) (he was in the room all of 2 to five mins and left, talking on the phone) ( I couldn't turn my neck to see him, and he never made eye contact with me and ever asked me how I was feeling or NOTHING!!) Dr Nelson only asked me, has ever happened to me before. I stated no, and that's the only question he asked. He left and never came back. It took weeks, and weeks of complaining to get information of what medication was giving to me, put onto my chart... even my MD requested it and it still took that long. Three months later, my test results are still not on my-chart. I did get medical records and it states partial paralyzed in arms only. Which doesn't even state the truth. My personal feeling is he didn't state the truth because they messed up big time. I was paralzed, like that for over an hour. I couldn't, even move my fingers, toes, neck, arms etc...I think they over dosed me and were fearful they could of paralyzed my lungs.That's my personal feelings. I did contact the medical board , Insurance company and hospital and wrote up a complaint. This doctor office, (my personal feelings) almost killed me and didn't give a darn. They can't and haven't told the truth of what happened. Beware dealing with doctors who don't telling the truth. Oh yes, I almost forgot Im having issues from this tragic event and have to see an Neurologist and a cardiologist. of course, I won't see Nelson. I want to live, so Im going to St Lukes. . Will discipline happen. Probably not. Probably not till someone dies from his hand, yet I want to make sure this is documented so people can know what happened.

Dr. Nelson is an outstanding heart Physician. He is extremely knowledgeable and can put his technical knowledge into layman's terms to help you understand what is occurring with your heart. He carefully explains what is occurring and outlines the treatment options available. He understands how the patient feels when tests are taken and he quickly reviews the results and communicates them to the patient. He then explains the implication of the results and outlines his recommended treatment if necessary. Further, when you have an appointment with Dr. Nelson, he is always prepared when you meet with him and is up to date on your current status. He also has a calming presence when one is dealing with complications involving their heart.

Great caring doctor! My visit was very up lifting, he listened to me, explained EKG, very easy to talk to! He actually acted like he cared, I went away with a happy face! If I ever need a heart doctor he will be my Doctor! My husband was told he need to talk the a heart doctor but the one he went to was rude, uncaring, not really answering my husband conserns, or question! It was like the doctor was punching a time clock and his time was over!

I first met with Dr Nelson this December. My wife who has had health issues since her treatment for Hodgkins in the 1980's. Dr Nelson diagnosed her with severe aortic stenosis, after a previous doctor downplayed the condition. We were able to get a TAVR valve replacement done based on his recommendation, and she is doing great, he is caring and was willing to take the time to help us understand what we needed to do going forward. Thank you for being there for us..
