Dr. Matthew James Isom

There aren’t enough words to express how pleased I am with Dr. Isom and the care he gave to my family and I. He has made this birthing process as seamless as possible. He also has a very efficient staff and well managed office. They’re pleasant to deal with and they’re great at following up with you, as well as handling any FMLA Maternity paperwork you may have. Dr. Isom answered all my questions, addressed my concerns in a timely manner, he’s thorough, I never felt rushed, he has great bedside manners, my husband loves him, and it was an overall great experience. Most importantly, he was able to deliver our baby boy safely, via cesarean birth. Best decision I ever made was picking him as my OBGYN. He has a patient for life.

The experience is my daughter's. She is 19 and was referred to Dr. Isom by Dr. Alvin Tan for a pap. Dr. Tan said he would not continue her birth control without this gyno visit to Dr. Isom. Six weeks later, she went in for the gyno appt, and was charged only to learn that paps are not performed on someone who is 19. Dr. Isom was kind enough to have the cost of this visit refunded. Thankfully, we did not have to pay for Dr. Tan's incompetence and lack of knowledge. I am thankful and grateful for Dr. Isom's thoughtfulness. The experience is my daughter's. I am very disappointed with Dr. Isom. He never answers my questions and provide no advise whatsoever on test results or procedures. I have to ask repeatedly to get any information. There is no human contact on follow ups after test requested, I do not recommend him. Looking for another OB/GYN

Dr. Isom is very professional, courtesy, and is very passionate about his job. Best OBGYN in the Katy area. He always makes you feel comfortable with every appointment. He delivered my first child and made it an easy process. He has wonderful bedside manners and explains everything with details so your not left without any unanswered questions. Dr. Isom is truly Godsent. His bedside manner, commitment to patients, and level of professionalism are some of the things that makes him an outstanding Doctor. Something else to be noted is that he demonstrates a high level of emotional intelligence and that is very important for expecting mothers - to have a doctor that not only listens, but responds in the best way possible through quality care. Absolutely love Dr. Isom! He delivered my son and I could not have asked for a better doctor through the whole pregnancy and delivery. He takes his time at every appointment, listens and not once did I feel rushed. His nurse Danielle and his medical assistants were all so helpful and knowledgeable. Dr. Isom and his team are wonderful! I can’t thank them enough for their thoughtful care! Every time I visit him, it’s a pleasant experience! The nurse staff is very sweet and knowledgeable, specially Danielle! I’m pregnant with our first baby girl and they have made this experience even more special and exciting!

Dr . Isom is the best you can get seriously! I cant say enough about him. He has great bed side manor and that speaks lot . Most doctors just treat you like a number and he definitely doesn't! You are in very good hands with him I promise you ❤ He did my hysterectomy February 1st and made me feel like I was being well taken care of and listened to as well. I went to another doctor before him and all they did was but a "bandaid" on the issue. Dr. Isom didn't do that and wasn't afraid to deal with the real problem. Dr. Isom has taken care of me through two pregnancies and I can’t say enough good things about him. He took the time to get to know me, our family and our lifestyle. He made me feel comfortable and competent during appointments by taking the time to explain things and this made me feel confident that everything would turn out great in his hands when it came time to deliver. Dr. Isom is the best OBGYN I have ever had. He makes me feel comfortable in my skin, confident with health issues/questions when they arise and he always finds a way to make me laugh! He and his nurses are always so great with my kids when I have to tow them along to my appointments. I also really love his nurse, Danielle. She has reduced my anxiety several times throughout this pregnancy already, yesterday being one of them. There is something just so calming about her voice and her words. She is truly an angel! I love Dr.Isom. I have never had a doctor quite like him. He is very personable, funny, and experienced. He explains things thoroughly and answers all your questions. Dr. Isom is indeed a God sent. Review won’t explain how much helpful, passionate and unique he is to I and my wife. He has a 5 STAR review for a reason! There is a reason this guy has 5 stars. The doctor and his staff are wonderful. I was seen at my appointment time, in the afternoon, and was out within 45 minutes which included extra labs. He listens to you and has real conversation. A+ service.

I never had such amazing experience, Dr Isom was great, he found a way to make the exams as less invasive as possible and knows how to make the patient feel confortable in the process. I love this place and would recommend it to anyone.

Wow. We were a few months into our original OB (not Kelsey). We felt rushed in our appointments and felt like we were a bother when we would ask our 20 questions stored on our phone. We took the leap and switched at the start of our second trimester. This was the best decision we made with the pregnancy! Dr. Isom made my husband and I feel very comfortable and informed every step of the way. We wish Dr. Isom would become a Pediatrician so we could continue office visits through our baby's development ex-utero! 100% definitely recommend! Wow. Awesome bedside manner and explanation of treatment plan

He is a great doctor. He listens to concerns and makes sure you are comfortable and all questions are answered. He doesn’t seem like he is in a hurry to go to him next patient.

Dr. Isom is overall an excellent doctor; but, what I like best about Dr. Isom is, he LISTENS. It is important that my doctor listens to my concern before speaking or diagnosing me.

This Doctor is so knowledgeable ,he delivered my second baby ,he is by far the best OB I have used,he even went out of his way on a Sunday to drive straight from his church to the hospital to deliver my baby. He has a way of keeping you calm and connecting with you ,he even did my son's circumcision and he did a great job,I can go on and on about how good he is. His staff is amazing as well,Gina one of his nurses went out of her way to make sure she gets all the documents from my previous OB when i was switching to their practice at 35 weeks of pregnancy. Dr. Isom was the best doctor I had. He helped me through my miscarriages and delivered my son. He always spent time with me, listened to my problems, answered my calls in the middle of the night, explained everything to me until I understood it well and always saw me on time. He was there for me from beginning to end. He and his nurse are awesome. Due to my insurance company, I had to find another doctor to care for me. He's the best!

This Dr is God sent! After having very bad experiences with my previous dr and staff, I had to literally pray for God to send me the best! And he indeed sent me the best! If you need someone to care for you, love u, understand you, listen to you, and just be there for u! Then this is the man! I know these are supposed to be the natural qualities of a dr, but trust me, not all of them are like this, I only started seeing Dr Isom and I already know I have the best, him and all his staffs are welcoming and kind with a smile on their faces at all time, you get everything you want in one place, no long wait, perfect service, your worries are listened to and sorted out, all staff that you encounter at your appointment are well trained, perfect customer service, and every other good thing you can think of. I had doubts of having a male ob-gyb to deliver my first baby. However, The very first time I met Dr. Isom, I immediately felt very comfortable with him and his team. There is also something very calming about his voice. He likes to get his patients well-informed regarding their health, what to expect and what is expected from the patients as well. That way, patients get deeply involve in the delivery of care and not solely relying on others when it comes to their health (which makes sense).

My son was an uh-oh baby so i was freaking out when i first visited Dr. Isom but he quickly put my nerves at ease. he was great at talking me thru everything and making sure i understood what was happening and what was going to happen. Not to mention the office was great! all labs were done same day in the office and there was barely any wait time.
