Went for a consult. Dr Hepler is very thorough with his explanations and very genuine and honest with handling the diagnosis and treatment.

Plain and simple I broke and dislocated my neck at C6 and C7. Dr. Helper showed up and basically never left. After a lengthy surgery and unknown prognosis I’m walking up the stairs a week later. 01/07/2021 my name is carmine, i am 82 years old.since 2006 i have suffered with severe sciatica pain.2008 i had non invasive a surgery that failed. years later spinal stenosis developed and i reached the point, i could not walk. after seeing several surgeons who could not give me positive answers of the outcome. my friend who had surgery with DR. HELPER recommended i see him .i had lumbar laminectomy and fusion surgery by DR. HEPLER. 6 month has passed, i have to say the surgery is a success. after 13 years of pain i have relief,i can walk , dance and live a normal life.each day it gets better. you will be in good hands with DR. Dr Hepler is a caring doctor . I felt listened to and understood. He gave me his real opinion. Took time to explain the different options for my case. I truly recommend him.

I wish I could’ve written a review, but I left after waiting an hour. Who calls a patient twice to confirm that I bring my family member to their office a half an hour early, just to make us wait an hour? Ridiculous.

Dr. Hepler is without question the worst Physician I have ever encountered. I saw him for extreme pain in my right leg and during the initial visit (and two or three visits after that) he never made eye contact, instead just looking at his computer screen and then leaving. He mentioned that I needed a Diskectomy and nothing was done to schedule it. I was told to come back for another visit which I did. I told he and his nurse that I needed to get relief from the pain so they scheduled me for surgery. The hospital called me with my info and I was to have the surgery one week later. The day before the surgery his office called me to come in and sign some papers. My Husband and I went to his office and they let us sit in the waiting room for two hours, finally calling us back after everyone went home. Again, without ever looking at me he said that he had decided that the pain was coming from my hip. I said you do know that I am scheduled for surgery in one day and he said yes, he was going to cancel that. At this point the pain was so bad I could barely walk. I called his office the next day to speak with him and they said he didn't work there anymore. He is coward and a liar and I wouldn't send anyone to his "new office" for any reason. After interviewing 6 spine surgeons and 1 neurosurgeon and after receiving 4 or 5 very different responses, I was recommended to visit Dr. Hepler. Hepler is as much a scientist as he is a physician. He really knew his stuff and stood "head & shoulders" above the other physicians I interviewed. He made sense out of a very confusing medical condition. He performed spine decompression Lumbar surgery with top results. Hooray...I can walk again! Another doctor told me that Matthew Hepler is the surgeon the other spine surgeons turn to asking for assistance when they have a difficult case. He is as good as it gets. Dr. Hepler really helped me out with an emergency a few years ago. I could not be more grateful. He is a fine physician with a very even-tempered demeanor. Very well trained in his art. Highly skilled. Real quality!

I had acute pain in my arm originating from my neck. Dr Hepler treated me successfully and followed up with a call to check on my progress. If you want personal care from a medical professional then Dr Hepler is the right choice.

Dr Hepler is a very compassionate Dr. and truly cares for his patients .He met me in his office after hours to give me an injection when I was despreate for help. He truly cares for his patients and I would recommend him to anybody who is looking for a great spinal surgeon

I wouldn’t trust anyone else regarding issues with my back and spine. He has been “right on” with his diagnosis. He is thorough and never rushes through an appointment. Although his main office is in Fort Lauderdale, I appreciate his having a second office in Delray Beach as it is more convenient for me.

This Dr was available, listened and made me feel confident he could take of my back issues.

Minimal waiting to see the Doctor and all the paperwork was sent to me via email so I could fill it out before my visit to the office. The staff is very efficient and friendly.

Dr. Hepler was able to give me a steroid injection for my back injury and saved me from having to have surgery. I went to him for a second opinion and am so happy that I did. I am feeling much better. Thank you for your time and care!

Dr. Hepler's John Hopkins and Columbia training match his meticulous skills! I am so lucky to have found him down here in South Florida! Thank you for all your help and taking the pain away. Pain is invisible and sometimes hard for people to understand what you're going through. Dr. Hepler was able to pinpoint my problem area and CURE me! Thank you is not enough!

Dr. Hepler literally returned me to my quality of life. I had reached the point where I could no longer walk any distance. Any prolonged standing (more than 10 minutes) put me in agony. After my surgery and a reasonable recovery time I returned to all of my normal activities. I can now ride my bike, ski, hike and I am pain-free.
