Dr. Gee is always thorough, articulate and very personable.

This was my first visit, and I was thoroughly impressed with Dr. Gee's professionalism and his thoroughness. He explained things well and asked questions to ensure I was satisfied with the visit. Hiis exam room was clean, and I appreciated that he followed the Covid protocol. As an older woman who is insecure with her body right now, I had anxiety to be seen; but Dr. Gee made me feel safe and comfortable in his care. I feel good about the treatments I had and plan to move forward. I was also impressed with his staff. I highly recommend Dr. Gee. Thank you, Dr. Gee!

I was very pleased with my visit. Dr. Gee was extremely professional, and unlike most physicians, was careful and thorough and spent time with me explaining and addressing my particular skin problem. I would definitely recommend him for any dermatological concerns.

I came into the office as a new patient today-my mother has been seeing Dr. Gee for some time now.Upon arrival, there was noone at the receptionist desk but forms for new/follow-up patients to fill out.I filled it out.About 5 minuets goes by & I am finally confronted by Dr. Gee. He asked for my ID, insurance card & CC.I handed it to him(form of ID was passport).He walked away.About 10 minuets later he comes back- first thing he said was,"why dont you have an ID?"I said,"is my passport not a form of ID?I do not have my drivers license because it was left with my purse at a friend's house”he replied, "it is a form of ID but we take a scan of the ID and insurance card, & we are having trouble scanning the passport.You seem to be extremely unprepared.We asked that you fill out the form & it clearly states we need an ID, insurance card, and CC.” Dr. Gee proceeded to go on & on about how he made an exception for me & I was “not prepared”, when I was. I cut him off, got my cards back and left

I’ve seen a lot of Dermatologists over the years and Dr Gee stands out as one of the best. The man cares about his patients and that shows. So glad I found him.

I have been seeing Dr. Gee for three years. He is very thorough and the appointments are not rushed. Recommendations for ongoing skin care, areas of concern and expectations for any areas treated are well explained. I would highly recommend Dr Gee.

He is very thorough and takes additional time asking and careing about what’s going on in your private life. Will toatally be in to see him on a regular basis and keeping up with my skin health.

Tried to make an appointment and the receptionist tried to discourage me from doing so as it was still far into the month of May (I called beginning of April) I told her it was fine. She then tells me she has to call me back because she’s currently helping a patient. The whole day went by and no callback. I phoned them again the next day and same receptionist said “oh yes I have you down to set up an appointment but due to an outage our booking system is currently down. I’ll call you back”. It’s now been 3 weeks and obviously I’m not getting a call. Dr. Gee has always been courteous and concerned regarding my skin problems. I am always pleased with the results of my appointments.

Doctor Gee is very good about explaining problems with my skin. Very thorough with exam and information on products to combat dryness. Takes time to make sure you understand what he has removed, the probable cause and treatment. And he gives a printout of everything covered in the appointment explaining treatment.

Dr Gee was wonderful. He spent over an hour with me. Very thorough. Addressed all of my needs and then some. I felt like I was back with an old fashion country Dr because he was so kind and took so much time with me. I highly recomend him.

Dr. Gee takes the time to explain everything and answers all of your questions in detail. I am a new patient. I was very impressed with Dr. Gee. He wanted to get to know me and took time to address my concerns. I highly recommend him.

Once speaking with Dr. Gee, the appointment went well. He does a good job of explaining details and hearing any concerns. However, if you have a somewhat healthy relationship with risk, you may find their COVID protocols way overboard. If you're freaked out and venture out only when necessary, you'll be right at home. When you enter, you're sequestered in a room where you need multiple temperature checks. After that you'll get a series of questions regarding your travel and contact with individuals. Finally, you'll get time to complete the entry paperwork. Then when entering the exam room, you're required to use hand sanitizer. Keep in mind this is not June of 2020, this is November 2021 where 75% of people in WA are vaccinated and transmission through touch has been shown to not exist. For a doctor, the office seems married to the initial protocols. Given the adherence, I expect to see the same procedures a year from row, regardless of whether the country has moved on from COVID.

Dr Gee is awesome! Listened to my concerns and addressed them perfectly. It is so nice to see a dermatologist who isn’t trying to “sell” unnecessary treatments. He spent a lot of time with me and never seemed rushed. I would highly recommend Dr Gee!

I came in for a lump on on the back of my bald head hoping that it could be cut out and removed per the recommendation from my wife. To be honest, I was thinking it might be something like that show on tv that removes lumps, etc and was not really looking forward to it. I was a bit set back when Dr Gee brought up the potential negatives that may come up possibly in a removal surgery like nerve damage and even the possibility of it even coming right back over time. He mentioned treating it with a steroid to reduce the size would be a better option in my case. Well, it’s been a few weeks now since the steroid injection and the lump is almost gone. Really appreciate Dr Gee being such a professional and willing to share the truth with me vs just giving me what I thought I wanted. Dr. Gee was very friendly and very thorough. He explained everything very well and I felt all my concerns were met. He even offered advice on skin related topics I did not realize I had. I would highly recommend this practice. I really liked the slower, small office vibe.

I always enjoy my semi-annual checkup with my dermatologist, Dr. Matthew Gee. My checkup always begins on-time, is conducted in a professional but friendly manner, and Dr. Gee provides me with the information that I need to treat any skin-related issues and to keep my skin in good condition for the next 6 months.

Dr Gee took his time looking at spots I was concerned about on my skin. It was nice not to feel rushed through. He was thorough & made sure I understood everything. I’ve been recommending him ever since.

I am writing this review on behalf of my mother. Today October 12, 2018, my mother called as a new patient to make an appointment with Dr. Matthew. His receptionist, was really rude and didn't want to make an appointment for my mother saying "will you actually drive for an hour and a half for the appointment?" My mother explained that she doesn't live to far away. My mother asked to make the appointment and provide her with an address and if she was unable to make it, she would call 48 ahead to cancel the appointment. At this point, the receptionist hung up on my mother without an explanation. My mother doesn't speak English well due to us being immigrants. This is unacceptable. My husband went to see Dr. Gee. We paid a 35 dollar fee up front and had insurance. About 2 weeks later we noticed a charge on our account for $63 dollars to the same office that we didn't authorize. We called to see what the charge was for and the "office manager".. .who is not all that nice" Told me that when you sign your privacy policy it's in fine print the at the bottom that they can charge your CC for any remaining balance at anytime. Mind you at this point we have not even received a bill from this office and had no clue what sour insurance was going to pick up! She told me that she sent an email, one my husband has never received, We checked. I told her we had no such email and she basically told me that's not her problem and when I asked what the office does if a person has no email she stated that they would not be allowed to be seen at the office! ! Seriously!! Not everyone has an email and even if they do they don't like to give it out! Not to mention you can't keep a customers CC on file and run it when ever you please! ! My husband tried to call and talk to her and of course she sounded apologetic and said she would have the Dr. Or herself get back to my husband after she talked to the Dr. About it. .. We are going on day 2 with no phone call. I saw Dr Gee to examine and remove a growth. They are attached to Swedish medical center and share their front desk - Swedish has all my payment information on file. Dr. Gee examined me and then asked me to pay before he went on to removing the growth. I tried to pay with my card, but it wouldn't go through. I offered to call my mom for her card info or have swedish give them my payment info, but instead Dr. Gee got very upset and claimed I was wasting his time and to come prepared next time I make an appointment. He proceeded to talk down to me as he kicked me out. I explained to the front desk and they said they could just send an invoice with the information on file and I called my mom as well who was able to give payment info. They explained this to Dr. Gee and he was willing to continue the procedure. He made sure to 'clarify' that "I wasn't kicking you out because you didn't have the money". he talked down to me during the entire rest of the appointment. Extremely disrespectful and money driven. Dr. Gee did a complete skin exam on me to check for skin cancer as I have a ton of moles and he inspected each one on my body. I can tell he genuinely cares for his patients and wants to see their skin improve. I notice a large improvement in my acne & redness/soreness only a week after my appointment. Dr. Gee is very personal. He explains the billing process up front, despite the negative reviews received on here regarding that. He spends one on one quality time explaining. This allows for you to ask any questions. I have been to many dermatologists before and he takes time giving you patient centered care. Thank you!!

I really liked this doctor as he was EXTREMELY thorough and took a lot of time with me personally. I noticed other reviews especially the one regarding finances however he was a part of Swedish which I also felt that the front desk there was a bit aggressive in understanding my insurances but that really isnt anything to do with the doctor himself. I did try and set up another appointment for my daughter however they notified me that he is now practicing on his own in Maple Valley.

I’m shocked how medical offices are getting more shady every year. I have been on the other side of this as well and worked over 6 years in a medical office. I would never treat and scam a patient the way I was treated here. I scheduled an appointment here and got no email what or anything, even though the office staff claims one was sent. The phone calls I got where just automated saying I need to register online. When I canceled the day before after hours I clearly stated I have an emergency. The office staff clearly doesn’t check voicemails. I got a phone in the morning asking when I’ll come in. Apparently staff doesn’t check voicemails. I got charged 75$ for not canceling in time. No where did I receive a disclosure this would happen. The staff lied to me saying it was disclosed in an email. NO email from this office was sent. Management please work on your customer service. Dr. Matthew R. Gee was one of the worst doctors I've ever had. Made an appointment with the clinic through a recommendation of my regular PCP and was treated very poorly as soon as I arrived. Demanded I show him I had the money up front for the procedure before we started and explained he "wont waste time on people who don't have the money upfront" even though my insurance was covering the procedure. He was extremely condescending until the insurance issue was figured out. I won't be returning.

Very knowledgeable and personable with elderly patients. I oversaw a patient from a care facility where I work and he was more patient than any other physician that I have seen work with the said patient.

Excellent bed manners. So far the best dermatologist that I have consulted in the US, and I have high expectations related to doctors. He'll dedicate plenty of time to you and take the time to explain any skin condition and treatment. Indeed there was a 30 minute delay, but it was worth. As far for payments, the clinic do explain what you need to bring in order to be seen and the non-shown consequences. I now understand the reason, he will not trade-off quality per low or no insurance payment.
