Dr Fewel was very nice when we first met. He explained things very well and offered choices that I was able to choose from. He helped answer all questions I had. When I had the surgery (cervical spine), he worked to where you can barely see the scar (on my front neck). I was very happy with his care and follow up.

Dr Fewel fused my neck in 2018 & my back in 2019. The results were astounding. If anyone needs a neurosurgeon this is the guy.

Dr Fewel has opberated on me five times. In 2005 he saved my life removing an Astrocytoma. The other surgeries were spine related. He is an accomplished surgeon and person. Surgery is his last option, but if necessary you can trust his steady hand . I have a long history of medical issues and will not hesitate to place my life in his hands. If. You want a Doctor who cares about you, Dr Fewel fits the bill.

Dr Fewel has done five spinal surgeries on me, I will not let anyone else do spinal surgery on me.

My daughter was referred to Dr Fewell for an assessment of broken rods in her back. They were placed there as a result of scoliosis. Both rods are broken and had been monitored by Shriners Hospital in Spokane with no change in her spine from scoliosis. Recently Taylor (my daughter) has been having difficulty sleeping. We were seeking information on whether the broken rods would be causing discomfort relative to her sleeping issue and options we might have if it were determined that the rod issue were a problem. Taylor has special needs and cannot communicate. Dr Fewell refused the referral and stated that our daughters situation was to complex!!! I am extremely disturbed by the response this so called Dr has given us. If in this case a consult on our daughter's situation is to complex for this man, it is my opinion that if any patient has issues more serious than a simple problem they should seek out a more competent Dr and one that is more dedicated to there profession.

Very personable, explains condition throughly and clearly. Back surgery went very well

Dr. Fewel did my disc replacement (Prodisc C) in my cervical spine. He did a great job and saved my neck and spinal cord. I have recommended him to others who have spinal issues and would go back to him again myself if necessary.

Dr. Fewel operated on my mom after she was ambulanced to the hospital with excruciating hip pain that had been eluding diagnosis for months and had suddenly gotten worse. He recessed a herniated disc in her badly degenerated lower spine that had been pressing on a nerve. This is a scary, risky surgery with not always great results in the best of hands, and he hit it out of the park. The hip pain that had been plaguing her was gone, and he was patient in taking time to answer questions. In our experience, we couldn't have asked for a better surgeon and are deeply grateful to have Dr. Fewel's caliber of skill in the Tri-Cities. We recommend him highly. Dr. Fewel performed a cervical disc replacement for me in 2012. He would have performed either a fusion or a replacement, but due to my age and the injury location, insisted that the best long-term outcome for me would be total replacement. After exhausting the appeals process, my insurance company refused to cover the procedure and I paid out of pocket. Dr. Fewel's work was exceptional and his staff helpful as I navigated the world of self-payment. It was the best investment I've ever made.

Dr. Fewel recessed a herniated disc in my mom's badly degenerated lower spine that had been pressing on a nerve and causing severe pain. This is a scary, risky surgery with not always great results in the best of hands, and he hit it out of the park. The hip pain that had been plaguing her was gone, and he was patient in taking time to answer questions. We are deeply grateful to have Dr. Fewel's caliber of skill in the Tri-Cities and recommend him highly.

I met Dr. Fewel for the first time since my care had been transferred to him, at my appointment I complained of my issue swallowing, I asked about the status of the referral to the ENT. Dr. Fewel told me that if swallowing was that big of an issue he’d just get a feeding tube put in me. I was upset and walked out. Three hours later, I received a call from Dr. Fewel’s PA letting me know that Dr. Fewel would no longer be my attending physician. Save your family from the trouble we went through
