i have been seeing dr. matt for years. he is terrific. really spend the time answering questions too. very gentle dentist! his staff is wonderful, too.

I came to Dr Engel with significant dental problems. I had been at another dental office for about a decade and experienced steadily declining dental health including the loss of teeth despite my significant efforts. Within a few appointments at Dr Engel's office the alignment of my teeth and bite were vastly improved, my gum pockets stabilized and my gum health was much better. For the first time in several years, I received positive news about my dental health and feel good about my efforts and the future. The BEST cosmetic dentist in Bend. Hands-down made my smile beautiful. He took the time to squeeze me in. My smile looks like a million bucks!

Dr. Matthew Engel is an amazing, committed, skilled, professional, and State-of-the-Art Dentist and man. He changed the quality of my life. Over the years as his patient, he not only realigned my bite easing decades long TMJ discomfort, improved my Smile in the process, fit me with a comfortable Sleep Apnea Mouth Appliance, which made it possible for No More CPAP…Yeah!! Verified by follow-up OHSU Sleep Lab study. It meant easier travel: No more machine noise to bother me or other sleepers; no more ill-fitting nose piece or long connector hose; no need for distilled water-all changing my lifestyle, as well. I don't write reviews often but Dr Matt Engle and his team at Studio Nine 30 deserve to be acknowledged for being the best they can be every day Studio Nine 30 isn't another "TV Tooth Mill" and Dr Engle isn't an assembly line dentist A comfortable, friendly, professional and confidence inspiring feeling from the front door through treatment is what I experienced. From my initial exam and consultation through treatment, everything and I mean everything was awesome It's difficult to sort through the "zillions" of over advertised "hype" dental offices hustling to support their huge overhead these days. I highly recommend Dr. Ingel and his professional staff. I had extensive dental work done and was extremely pleased with two dental implants and a crown. It was great having the crown work done with one appointment. The office is extremely clean and modern. While sitting in the chair you have a beautiful outdoor view. The staff including Dr. Ingel make you feel welcome and put you at ease immediately. Dr. Ingel is very thorough when explaining your dental procedures. Going to the dentist can sometimes be an unpleasant experience. This is not the case with Dr. Engel's office. I've been to several different dentists over the years and Dr. Engel is the best dentist I've been to. You can tell that he and his staff take great care to create a comfortable and professional environment for their patients. Unlike other dentists, I don't feel rushed and feel like "just another patient." He actually took the initiative to get to know me and found out we had several things in common. Rather than dreading my upcoming dental appointments, I look forward to them, and I feel confident that I'm getting the best service possible. Told me my scan would be $99 and insurance wouldn’t cover it. Charged me $234 and referred me to another dentist. Waste of time and money.

I want to be clear I never had any issues with the quality of dental service I received here, Dr. Engal is clearly skilled, passionate, and a pleasure to work with even when dealing with dental anxiety around surgeries. What I did take major issue with here is the process of switching to a new dentist. About a year after switching to studio 930 my insurance changed and I had to find a new provider to stay in network. I was bummed because I liked studio 930, but I already pay for insurance coverage so I'm unwilling to pay for out of network care. When I called to cancel my upcoming dental appointment and let them know I had to switch providers, it was met with an extremely rude and condescending response by the receptionist. Almost as if I was canceling a subscription to a gym or something she asked me how can I not afford the few dollars difference? After telling her multiple times that 1) my finances are not her business and 2) my insurance changed and I'm not paying for out of network coverage, she confirmed my appointment would be canceled and promptly hung up on me. Unfortunately, a week before my (allegedly) canceled appointment I received a reminder that it was coming up and to be ready. I called in again and my appointment hadn't been canceled. This time she reassured me it was all taken care of and off the schedule. She neglected to tell me that they decided to not cancel my wife's upcoming appointment either. So it took us 3 calls to them to cancel our appointments even though they assured me on the first call that BOTH would be canceled. If it ended here my review wouldn't be so bad, but they also refused to send my x rays to my new dentist. My new dentist told me they had to call 4 times to ask for them to send the files over, and when they finally did it was an incomplete set. Lo and behold, my wife just had her first dental cleaning at he new place and encountered the same resistance. Overall I was extremely dissapointed with this whole situation. I don't leave many 1 star reviews on Google but I honestly CAN'T recommend this place. I'm not saying your dental care will be bad, again Dr. Engal is an excellent dentist who is skilled and capable, and the hygienists they have on staff are wonderful, but they're business practices are dodgy at best. It left a real sour taste in my mouth dealing with all of this drama over the course of several months. The dental office is for the Rich and Almost Famous of Bend. If you have extra money to spend, I suggest you go to this office. The dentist is probably well qualified and definitely a handsome good looking man, but I question his ethics and his genuine service. Is he extending services that are not needed? Dentist looks as handsome as a fashion model with jewelry and stubble and dark complexion. I truly think that woman and men go there because of his attractive appearance. The parking lot is full of high end vehicles, not to say, I don't have a nice car, but let's talk about his services. I went in for tooth pain. The dentist said I needed total reconstruction of my mouth and bit. He wanted to take molds of my mouth immediately and start procedure. I have very nice teeth and the tooth pain I could not explain. The cost of the procedure would have been an upward of $10,000 ( 10K). I come from a family of dentists and know this did not sound accurate. I left the visit and within an hour got a 2nd and 3rd opinion from other referred dentists in the area. Not one of them said there was anything wrong except that my gums had been scrapped by a dental assistant who took a mold of my mouth and I had blisters from this causing my root to feel the pain. I was given a mouth wash and the blisters went away and so did the pain shortly after. I do not recommend this dentist unless you have money to burn, enjoy doing unnecessary dental work and want to be amazed by a dentist who looks like a fashion runway model. BEST DENTIST EVER. For years I have had nothing but terrible experiences at previous dental offices; thanks to this incredible team of professionals my teeth are now getting properly repaired. In the past I have had serious anxiety about going to the dentist, partially due to traumatic experiences regarding my teeth. My dental hygienist at Studio Nine30 introduced me to wearing headphones during my procedures, that was a game changer. In addition to the headphones, Dr. Matt prescribed a sedative for me; these two things combined resulted in a wonderful experience while undergoing dental work that usually would have given me major anxiety and discomfort. Aside from my comfort during the procedures, I had no pain afterwards, and for the first time I am confident that the work being done is of the best quality and professional. I can’t thank these people enough, I wasn’t sure that an office like this existed after so many bad experiences with unprofessional practices in the past. Dr. Engel was extremely thorough and came up with a treatment plan that is reasonable and well received. I had another dentist in Bend for 5 years, and he never spent the time to go over my dental care in depth, like Dr. Engel did with me today. Dr. Matt has been incredibly patient and kind through my journey. I’ve had health issues this past year and it’s unfortunately interrupted my “dental plan” with Studio NINE30. I’ve had to miss appointments and they’ve always welcomed me back kindly and ready to pick up where we left off. Not only are they patient, kind, and professional, but Dr. Matt does phenomenal work. My root canals, crowns and fillings have been pain free, (besides a little sting with the numbing), and look beautiful when completed! Rosa at the front desk is very professional and informative when booking, rescheduling, or answering any questions. The staff always makes sure I’m comfortable and they are always concerned with their patients’ overall well-being. Dr Engel is a professional perfectionist in his dental work. He does beautiful work whether it be restoration or basic dentistry. I highly recommend.

I have been a patient of Dr Engels for over 20 years and couldn't be happier with the care he has provided me. Top notch fellow whose practice has evolved over the years to include many options for cosmetic issues. Great service in a very relaxed but professional environment.

Dr Engel and the entire staff at Studio 930 are fantastic. It's clear by his approach that he is passionate about what he does. With every appointment, he far exceeds my expectations. I also appreciate that he uses cutting edge equipment that minimizes the time spent in the chair for procedures. I also appreciate that he is a straight shooter- he will tell you if you need work done whether it's something critical or if it's something that you can plan for in the future. Studio Nine30 provides wonderful dental care. I've had Cerec crowns completed in one visit, my kids have had fillings done, wisdom teeth removed and of course our regular twice yearly cleanings. Dr. Engel is a talented dentist and his office environment is really relaxing.
