Dr. Matthew S. Clegg

Went in to get a root canal redone. Matthew was awesome and the ladies were great. Lacy (or is it Laci??) is always super nice and helpful. Office is always clean and I haven’t had to wait more than a few minutes or so for my appt.

The best dental appointment I've ever been to....root canal with virtually no pain at all....actually dozed off during the procedure...today is the day after and again no pain or discomfort …. Dr. Clegg's staff are top notch also, very professional but caring...Great interaction in all ways !!!!!

As an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon, I have lived and worked with many endodontists. Dr. Clegg is tops. He is accurate, great at diagnosis, and discloses prognosis well to help patients decide whether to do a root canal or not. Many people get frustrated with root canals because other problems impacting root canal success aren't diagnosed or practitioners can't perform them like a specialist. I have had patients come to me that wanted an implant and he was able to redo the root canal and save the patient an implant. Many times, patients come to me for an implant because he helps them to understand that a root canal in their situation, doesn't have a good prognosis. When my son needed a root canal I wouldn't let anyone else do it. Root canals are more successful if the very best specialists get the first chance. I am lucky and so is my son that Dr. Clegg was available. You can't find better and our region is fortunate to have him here. Loved Dr. Clegg and his staff! He was very professional and did excellent work. I would recommend him to anyone.

I was in a nearby town and called Dr. Clegg’s office needing an emergency root canal. I didn’t arrive until 4:30 PM and Dr. Clegg and his staff willingly stayed late. He was very professional and did a great job fixing my problem. I was fortunate to be referred to such a caring professional. I highly recommend Dr. Clegg.

I was referred to Dr. Clegg and Dr. Hoopes from my regular dentist to have a root canal done because I was in a lot of pain (my jaw felt like it was on fire) and my dentist was out of town. Dr. Clegg usually doesn't come in on Fridays and Dr. Hoopes was booked solid. But Dr. Clegg willingly agreed to come in on his day off to help me out. He identified 2 teeth that were the likely culprits for the pain. One of them I could really feel pain in but the other really didn't seem to bother me too much. He went ahead and worked on the first and took care of it quickly (in viewing subsequent x-rays other dentists have said that was one of the best root canal jobs they have ever seen). He told me I would likely need another root canal soon on the other tooth and that I should call him if I have any severe pain in the next day or two. He gave me his cell phone number and I went back home (about 45 miles away). Just a few hours later after the anesthesia wore off my jaw was burning again. The only relief I could find was in keeping cold water or an ice cube on it. I called Dr. Clegg's cell phone and he was on his way out of town to help with some boy scout activities he was involved in. He got in touch with his partner, Dr. Hoopes and an assistant and arranged for them to meet me at 8:00 pm at his office and they would take care of the second tooth that night. They worked on me until 10:00 pm and I am so grateful they did. Both of these men went out of their way to help me out. Dr. Clegg came in on his day off and Dr. Hoopes came in late at night to help make sure I was taken care of. They are two dentists that went the extra mile and I would return to them in a heart beat for future root canals.
