Dr Baker was very thorough in his explanations for treatment and care, I felt very satisfied with the conversations and completely comfortable to ask any questions that I had. Both myself and my husband came away with impression is that he is very caring and extremely competent.

Dr. Baker helped me with an unbelievably botched double mastectomy from another Denver doctor. I hadn't addressed the disfigurement until 6 years after the multiple surgeries I had endured by the first doctor, constantly trying to fix his mistakes. So 6 years later I found Dr. Baker. He empathized with what I went through and spent a great deal of time going over what he could do to help. It took two surgeries over two years and the outcome makes me finally feel like a woman again. I am so grateful to have found Dr. Baker, and only wish I had had him do my original surgery.

Dr. Baker provided great counseling and explained the revision of reconstruction poorly done by another provider. I am 2 months post surgery and so far I am happy with the results. Post op be sure to have your questions ready so you don't leave the office and think, "darn, I should have asked...."

He was arrogant , never followed up with me after my augmentation. Lied and said I had smooth implants, I got them taken out because they are too big and they were textured ! I told him I don’t want textured because they cause cancer and he also put too big implants in for my size. I called back one time wanting them out and they told me I would Be botched and look terrible. Guess what I look exactly how I did before !

For years I experienced difficulty swallowing and discomfort on the front of my throat from an old total thyroidectomy. For 15 years I wondered if a platysmaplasty would help with both complaints as pulling my neck tissue up and back gave me relief; I could swallow AND the discomfort went away. Finally, I decided to take a chance and requested a consult with Dr. Matthew Baker. He understood my logic. I had already been diagnosed with partial paralysis of my larynx and suspected some of my strap muscles were also affected by the 1983 thyroidectomy. Dr. Baker worked with me and performed a platysmaplasty which WORKED! I knew in post-op my swallowing was better. After healing all discomfort is gone, not just the post surgical discomfort but also the discomfort associated with what we both suspect was a larynx and trachea that were not adequately supported. I'm ecstatic! And the huge bonus is I look younger!! I'm very impressed and deeply appreciative of the care I received.

Dr. Baker never mentioned the real dangers of silicon implants such as BII and ALCL (immune system cancer). I am very disappointed with Dr Baker and his lack of care for women.

I have used Dr Baker 2 times in the last 15 years and I have completely been taking care of! He is so detail oriented which makes his work very impressive. I would recommend him 100%

Dr Baker has been amazing. He's extremely knowledgeable and his work is beautiful. In my first consultation he patiently answered all of our questions and truly worked with me to decide what would be right for my body. Dr. Baker is first and foremost a wonderful person. My case was unique as I had severe gynecomastia since adolescence, this did make me a higher risk for corrections which were needed (the risk was communicated upfront). My situation has been challenging as I developed a pretty stubborn seroma post op and also needed a few additional procedures for corrections the last of which i'm currently healing from now. Where I am most pleased is with how I have been treated when having to deal with the corrections/issues from my procedure. The entire team is always welcoming and they tackle everything head on. My case is a situation where it didn't go perfect, but their response and willingness to step in to do everything in their power to make it right is what impressed me. Bottom line surgery has risks and if you want a provider that will be there for you even when things don't go perfect Dr. Baker is your guy.

I went to Dr. Baker to correct a bad reconstruction from a previous surgeon. Dr Baker is AMAZING! He was able to fix my scars from wide pink scarring to pencil thin ones. I just had my final right side revision and am now even on both sides. I had a tram flap on my right with radation. Dr. Baker was able to blend in the harden tissue into soft skin again. His staff from reception on are warm, and caring. Thank you Dr. Baker and team. I am confident in my own skin again.

Because of circumstances beyond anyone’s control, I need to have DIEP flap reconstruction. Dr Baker said, "I want you to go to the best doctor and it's not what I'm best at." So, I’ve gone to the plastic surgeon he recommended. Dr Baker, his staff and Grossman Plastic Surgery are the best medical staff anywhere! The office staff at the new surgeon’s office should take some tips from the kind, compassionate people that I am used to with Grossman! Dr Baker truly cares about his patient.

Dr Baker is an excellent surgeon. He is personable, friendly and does great work. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants a plastic surgeon who is precise and a perfectionist.

Dr Baker stands alone, period, in the entire Denver area for breast work that is different than the norm. He took out my saline implants, deflated them, let my skin heal (different than any other doctors would do) and all the other docs said I would have to put in new small implants because my breasts were so disfigured from 30 years of having large implants...even the doctors who advertise to be the number one fat transfer breast docs, couldnt do it on my small frame. But Baker did it!

Dr. Baker is competent and approachable. He explained things well and answered all my questions. There was a complication that he made sure wasn't serious but made sure it was explained to me and he watched over it. The outcome of the breast reduction surgery was just fine!

Dr Baker did my reconstruction after a double mastectomy. One of the incisions failed to heal completely. Dr Baker became defensive and rude when I ask about wound care clinics etc. I finally took myself to infectious disease. They found I had a contaminated implant and a very severe blood infection e-coli. I had to have both implants removed and IV antibiotics for several months. I never heard from Dr Baket again. He admitted he never discussed my case with the other drs at the clinic.

I went to Dr Baker for a breast lift and augmentation. He was wonderful. Attentive, friendly and professional. My surgery went seamlessly and the results are even better than I could have imagined! Beautiful and symmetrical. Dr. Baker is an artist!
