Dr. Matthew Ken Asano

He was a good doctor at first and helped me a lot. I am normally a pretty quiet, passive patient, but when I began asking some questions about my condition, his demeanor totally changed. He became obviously irritated, answering in just one or two words, and clearly couldn't wait to end visits. As that behavior continued in future appointments, I lost confidence in him and felt dismissed every time I saw him, like my concerns were petty and not of interest to him. I didn't feel like I could trust him any more. I eventually chose to see another doctor.

Taking time while examining my husband's eyes following earlier cataract surgery by another physician, Dr. Asano intently listened to our responses to his questions and fully and caringly answered those we had, pausing to make eye contact when possible. We could not have been more pleased and would highly recommend Dr. Asano to others. He left a significantly positive impression on us. How very sorry we were to learn that he has left our area.
