I am a new patient of Dr. Baird and I was extremely hesitant about seeing an ob-gyn with whom noone I know has previous experience, but both She and her office staff are great! She is very thorough and truly pays attention to the needs of her patient. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Baird to my friends and family.

Dr. Baird is the most competent and talented OBGYN in Houston. I have heard many horror stories from deliveries/surgeries and doctors that dont listen to you and I am so thankful that I never had to deal with any of that on top of pregnancy. She delivered both my children via c-section and she is very focused on making the area look nice. She has so much experience with surgeries of any kind in her field, it's like she is 100 years old and the wisest doctor you'll talk to. I’ll be switching Drs. I had been doing to her over 10 years. I was referred to another doctor without the appropriate testing I needed. The referral did the appropriate test. Dr. Baird also ordered test knowing I was self pay) although the test was not needed. She did not listen to me.

I have been going to Dr. Baird for over 10 years. I was recently put on blood thinners and she referred me out without doing my biopsy. I plan to switch providers and plan to never go back.

I absolutely love Dr Baird and had a great experience with her delivering both of my babies.

Dr. Baird has been my GP/Gyno/Internist for 15 years and I love her. She is honest and straight forward and a mother and just an overall great doctor.

Dr Baird is very professional. She has very good side manners and she explains any questions I have. Also, she goes to the point. She is compassionate and has very gentle hand for all procedures.

Dr Mariam Baird is one of the best gynecologists I’ve ever had. She’s friendly, professional and straight forward. During my regular yearly exam she ordered test that has saved my life. I recommend Dr Baird she will not disappoint you ♥️

Dr Baird delivered two of my babies, on both occasions that I had problem delivering placenta and was 5 mins away needing operation to take placenta out. And each time Dr Baird stayed calm and tried her best and delivered the placenta naturally and avoided me go to surgery. I was truly grateful to her to turn my horror delivery into a happy one. Thank you. I also like Dr Baird very straight forward and get to the point, there is no nonsense. I like her style very much. She is also very good explaining things and I trust her 100% for all her medical recommendations. I would recommend her to all my friends and family.

Manipulative and has horrible bedside manner (most doctors do). Will push a c-section on her patients when they are vulnerable without providing options and using scare tactics. She needs to revisit the Hippocratic oath.

Worst OB ever. It was my first pregnancy after 5 years of marraige and I was so happy. She wrote my pregnancy as ectopic when I was only 3 weeks pregnant! She made me draw blood two days in a row and then wanted me to draw blood the third day to do a pregnancy hormone count then I started reading and researching and found out you only draw blood two days after the first blood drawn to see a difference in the count. And so much more things including scaring me when I refused to come to an appointmment saying I thought you died! She even gave false informations and said its safe to take aspirin durring pregnancy! After my misscaraige which I put the fault on her from repeated ultrasounds she said there was no way to regulate my periods only with birth controls and since I was trying to get pregnant again I cant use them so she cant help me! She shut all doors in my face and acted as if my case was hopeless. I changed her and hey "doc" if you r reading this today I am a mother of two AND I was able to regulate my period without birth controls! Worst OB ever. Dr. Baird was my OBGYN for the first half of my first pregnancy. Everything was going great until one day I made an emergency trip in to see her about my left leg and foot swelling. The appointment was very rushed - maybe five or six minutes total. She did not take the time to do a complete examination of my leg, only to poke my left foot and tell me it was normal swelling, maybe my uterus was on some veins, maybe start to wear compression hose. I expressed my concern that I did not feel right, only to be told that sometimes pregnancy does weird things. She even mentioned about sending out for a Doppler but did not. I ended up in the emergency room 12 hours later diagnosed with Deep Vein Thrombosis - multiple blood clots in multiple veins. My leg had swollen to three times it's normal size. After being in the hospital for four days, I did not receive a phone call from her office until the day I missed a scheduled appointment with her. During that phone call, she told me that she knew I had been in the hospital for the DVT days ago (the MFM I was dealig with at the hospital called to inform her) and apologized. I couldn't believe that I hadn't heard from her or anyone - obviously not concerned about me. I declined to stay on as a patient. I was very disappointed by what happened. I wish she had taken my issue more seriously. I understand there are a lot of patients to be seen, but time spent with a patient is vital. All I can say to any future patients would be to stand firm in your concerns and be your own advocate. I would only recommend her for anyone who has a very low risk pregnancy. Dr. Baird was my doctor during my pregnancy and she also delivered my baby. I couldn’t speak highly enough of her. Throughout my pregnancy she always been sweet and kind and she also has a very welcoming and "mind at ease” demeanor. She was also very caring and made me feel very confident. Let’s see I’ve been with Dr. Baird since 2011! She’s always been a pleasure. She’s pretty straight forward on all things. Still shows concern on whatever issues you bring to her. If it’s not her specialty she’ll tell you so and refer you on to the next. I will say when they made the change over to the laptops during visits I felt things were a little impersonal but I understand it wasn’t her call. Nevertheless I still received great care. I saw Dr. Baird for the first time yesterday. I had a bad experience with my previous doctor and brought all of my concerns up with Dr. Baird. She was amazing. She listens, explains everything thoroughly, and never made me feel uncomfortable to ask questions I may feel uncomfortable with otherwise. She takes time with her patients. Called Tuesday 5/29/18 morning and left message no phone Call back called 2 more times and left another message around 130 and still no call back. It’s 05/30/18 and still no return call back from the nurse. Scheduled with a different provider. I was told by the ER to be seen 2 days after my ER visit 05/28/18.

I love Dr. Baird. Have recommended her to so many friends and to my sister and both my daughters. We all think she is a very caring and competent doctor. She listens and I feel very comfortable with her. I always try and get the first appointment in the morning so my wait time is very short.

I sent my daughter to Dr. Baird as I had a good experience with her in the past, but I was extremely disappointed to find out that instead of educating my daughter on sexual health she shamed her for being a sexual active teen. I am extremely disappointed in her bedside manner and sincerely hope that this was a one time situation.

Dr. Baird is the best! I had an ectopic pregnancy and she recognized that I was bleeding internally and did the surgery that saved my life. She is kind and caring and always listens and does NOT rush through appointments. Sometimes it takes an hour or an hour and a half after my appointment time to be seen though. Also, it is $10 to park, so you have to account for that in the costs of every visit. Dr. Baird is fantastic though! Dr. Baird is the best! Our original Dr. Smith was not feeling well so had an opportunity to meet Dr. Baird in the delivery room. She walked in introduced herself and comforted us, all the nervousness went away. She sat on the bed side monitored my wife and the baby the entire way. Very calm and collectively delivered our baby. She is a blessing in a doc's uniform. Gifted and experienced doctor. We love our original doctor else we would switch over to her in a heart beat. I really love Dr. Baird. I've been a patient of her's for about 9 years and I can't find one thing to complain about. Her staff is awesome as well. Her nurse, Natasha, is awesome!!!!!

Best gynecologist ever. Referred several friends to her. Had large fibroids for years, and only she found them. She also successfully removed them. She's always prepared when she walks in the room, fully remembering my history. Never have to go over anything twice. Love her. However, I often end up waiting much longer than I would normally tolerate (sometimes 1+hours). If she wasn't so great, I would have found another doctor years ago. Wish I could reach her by text or email like my GP.

This was my first visit with Dr. Baird, and I really appreciate that she took the time to listen. She was very understanding about my previous not so pleasant experiences. she then explained everything about the appointment which really put me at ease.

Dr Baird is very kind and gentle (and who wouldn't want that). She is very busy but will definitely take the time to answer any questions you may have. I wouldn't want any other doctor.

Doctor-wise would highly recommend. My problem is their crazy phone system and receptionists. I am trying to make an appointment, have called 3 times this morning. Been hung up on twice and voice mail once. Every single time I call, I have a problem just making an appointment.
