Dr. Mary Ann Yurko

My appointment with Dr, Yurko and treatment was fine. However, previous to Dr. Yurko, I had Dr. Vydareny in the same office. When he retired, he told me I had a choice to transfer to Dr. Yurko or Dr. Stawiski in that office. I chose Dr. Yurko since my wife was a patient of her. After my first visit, I was charged $140 for a new patient visit, and it was explained to me that Dr V. and Dr. S are a separate entitiy than Dr. Yurko. Now after 1 follow up appointment, Dr. Yurko has retired. What exactly is the $140 for? They would have to take my file from Dr. Vydareny and move it to Dr. Yurko? ( in the same office, same computer sysyem!) I think this really stinks and is a perfect example of the medical field trying to charge patients whatever they can get away with. Now do I pay another new patient fee since Dr. Yurko retired?

Dr Yurko was very dismissive and barely looked at my skin. Almost felt like I was in inconvience to her.

I have gone to Dr. Yurok for several years now. She is knowledgeable and careful.

Seeing Dr. Yurko for the first time felt like being in a drive thru at a fast food joint. She never addressed any potential causes or diagnosis to my skin issues. She was only in the exam room for about 2 minutes - I didn't even get the chance to finish explaining my situation before she wrote a prescription. I was literally asking her questions as she was half way out the door. I left with more questions than I did answers. I will definitely not be a returning patient.

Extremely disappoint in the customer service. Dr. Yurko admittied to her wrong doings and said she would help fix the affected area and didn’t follow through. Her exact words “I haven’t seen anything this bad in all my years of practice.” It’s even more upsetting because it’s located on my face and no one cares to help correct the horrible work done.

I've been with Dr. Mary Yurko for about 25 years and have always thought very highly of her. She is very considerate, thoughtful, unhurried and very interested in her patients well-being. She has always been spot-on with diagnoses. Thank you, Dr. Yurko!

I felt rushed and she did not even look at the reason I went in the first place. I have had an open cut on my nose for over 6 months and around the cut is dry chapped skin that’s about 1/2 inch around that bleeds when it overly dries or when it becomes itchy. She said “maybe dandruff”. I put the dandruff shampoo on it today and it has now swollen up and has started bleeding (it swells up on its own randomly at least once twice a week). She looked at my whole body under 5 minutes with her intern

Dr Yurko is very friendly, thorough, and answered all my questions. When I wanted to find out my biopsy results and a nurse was not available, the staff put Dr Yurko on the phone to speak to me directly.

I have been taking my daughter to Dr. Yurko for 5 years, however, after the office has canceled 4 appointments over the last 6 months with no more than a day or two notice, and a very rude nurse who acted as if it was our issue that we hadn’t been seen, I’m all done. Unfortunate as we really liked Dr. Yurko.

She was rude to her staff and me. I felt like an inconvenience.

I was concerned when my surgeon referred me to Dr. Yurko based on some reviews I had read but I trust my surgeon ... and she was right. Dr. Yurko was polite, thorough, and knowledgeable. She looked me in the eye contrary to reviews I've read. She listened to any questions I had, and she removed three moles for testing. I liked both she and her staff.

I know my skin isn't pretty, but that's why I went to the office. When she looked at my thigh, she blatantly pulled her hands back and would not touch me - even with gloved hands! She then quickly rattled off some skin conditions and scribbled some things on a pad. I tried to ask a question and she answered while slipping out the door. I have had terrible experiences with doctors for a variety of reasons. Dr. Yurko now joins the list of those doctors. I won't be back.

Wonderful office staff and Dr. Very knowledgable and efficient. My experience was wonderful. No complaints.

Dr was rude and talked more than listened.

The staff was cold and at times rude, especially on the phone. Dr. Yurko failed to follow up on a biopsy result. During the procedures she continually talked over my head as if I wasn't there. Overall it was a bad experience and I won't be going back- I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

I went to Dr. Yurko six years ago for a second opinion on a skin cancer diagnosis. I was very glad for this second opinion, since she treated this cancer with a less invasive procedure than the first doctor recommended . I have had no recurrence of it. Since then I have had more appointments for other skin issues. I have been happy with the knowledge and experience she has. She is willing to use the easiest yet best treatment.
