Dr. Mary S. Genevieve

Fat shamed me on my first visit for migraines and told me I had to come in and do weigh ins and billed my insurance for them. I went elsewhere after the first visit.

A Wonderful Doctor who has been an asset to the Central Coast Community. I miss her guidance, her brain, her big smile, and serious nature. Miss you! Dr. Genevieve is top tier. Smart, up-to-date, and thorough. I have Parkinson’s and more. Lucky me. Yet, I am lucky to have this excellent neurologist. Wait times are consistently short. She can seem brisk and cool, but you will find that she is warm and funny. She runs a busy practice and it is a tight ship. Don't waste her time (or her other patients time) by coming late. You will likely have lost your turn. At least for that month. She is very good listener —so come prepared with a topic or question... and then you be prepared to listen. Up until she disappeared and went on an indefinite sabbatical, she was satisfactory. I was notified 3 days prior to my last appointment that she went on sabbatical and her return was unknown. I was referred to doctors in Bakersfield, 200 miles away from San Luis Obispo, which is obsurd. In the meantime, I have moved to northern California and cannot even have my medical records transferred to another doctor or even get a referral. Absolutely no notice was given by letter or email and no neurologist will see me without a referral. I cannot afford to be without medication or have another seizure. Administratively I must rate Dr. Genevieve a zero.

I’ve been a patient of Dr G for over five years. She is an excellent doctor. Sadly she suffers from high office turnover. Always a fresh face in front. This greatly affects the care one gets. Poor office support means prescriptions don’t get refilled, referrals never happen....As of late with no personal visits, access to the Doctor is impossible, visits are late and one gets short changed in time. I’ve had many 10 minute calls.....This has affected the Dr as well. She’s no longer well prepped for return visits. Twice I’ve had her forget what was discussed in a previous visit!! Dr G was a great doctor. Then she vanished....sold practice to United Nueroscience in Bakersfield. She’s not practicing any longer

Dr G was excellent Doctor. Has vanished and no longer practicing medicine.

Always enjoy my appt with the dr never fell rushed she really cares about her patients.

Dr. Genevieve is a caring, responsive professional without whom I would be lost. For the past five years Dr. Genevieve has treated my intracranial hypertension and other conditions. She coordinates the work of other M.D.s whose services are required to maintain progress of symptoms. I always leave her office understanding my conditions better. Her staff is very understanding and pleasant. I recommend her every chance I get!

This doctor cares about her patients and she is so incredibly thorough. I am grateful for her care and unlimited concern. Her compassion seems to be boundless.

Dr. Genevieve treated my wife for 13 years. When we came to her we felt hopeless. Dr. Genevieve worked hard for many months until we hit upon a medication regimen that helped reduce my wife's symptoms quite a bit and improved her quality of life. Dr. Genevieve treated us with respect and we felt she became our friend.

I have been a patten of Dr Genevieve for years . She has always taken great care of me. She takes the time to listen to me and really cares about what I need! I am a severe migraine sufferer Dr. Genevieve has made a huge difference for me in managing my headaches. Thanks to her I can function day to day.
