My initial appointment was scheduled to be online. I've done several of these, and I wasn't expecting any issues. I was working in a public place today, so I went to my vehicle which remained parked. The nurse asked me if I was driving. I replied that I'm not. She continued to do my intake for less than a minute, when Dr. Hurwitz (presumably) interrupted us to tell me that it was illegal to drive and do a video conference at the same time. I showed him via camera that I was clearly was in a parking lot. I even got out of the car. He continued to berate me for even being in the car even after I told him it was for privacy because that wasn't possible where I was working. I wanted to move on, but he didn't. He suggested that maybe it was a good idea to reschedule. For what? To be treated like a problem child? MSU Medicine has a specific policy of treating you like a partner. And during the 10 years I've been there, most everyone has treated me like that. This doctor didn't even try that. I recommend that you DO NOT see this doctor. He doesn't listen and take into account what you have to say. And he doesn't know how to treat his patients with respect. I wish I could give him a zero star.
