Drs. Martin and Cole Claiborne are, by far, the best dermatologists in the New Orleans area. They are both very competent and knowledgeable in their field. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my skin care. Their staff is amazing as well. Each and every person is friendly and helpful.

Dr Claiborne is very knowledgeable. His staff is very helpful.

I went there for a skin ailment. It was spreading all over. He looked and used his freeze gun on most of the spots. Gave me a salve. And if no better come back in 2 WKS. It's wasn't. He was angry with me and told me that he told me not to pick.. and I didn't. He gave me a different salve a shot, and finally an antibiotic. Well I used thosed and still wasn't getting better. I went to my Primary doctors nurse practitioner. She told me right away it probably was staph. She gave me different ointment meant for that and Bactrim a stronger antibiotic. I was so mad that I wasted all this time suffering and he was almost doing this on purpose so it was more expensive, and mad. At me. Then I called his nurse to tell him what I found out.......she said she would tell him. He sent me a letter with a bill. And a letter saying I was not welcome there anymore,. I went in to get something removed from my face. Dr Cole did surgery on it. It looks horrible. I called his office staff and was treated rudely by his staff. So I called the office manager and she was rude to me as well. I don’t recommend this place!!!!!

Drs. Martin and Cole Claiborne are excellent physicians with great bedside manners. More importantly, my chronic skin condition has never been more effectively treated. The elder dr Claiborne was pretty presumptive and was eager to put a steroid “band-aid” on the problem or make a cocktail of other pharmaceuticals to try to address the problem. I found the problem later on to be a reaction from eggs. Never once did the dr mention dietary causes. I didn’t need a prescription. Using western medicine evidence as defense for ignoring a problem that a patient has come to you to solve is weak. I get that it’s probably a touch and go subject with malpractice suits and such, but at least have the honor and respect to point a patient to a different professional who will diagnose and treat or lead the patient successfully. What an absolute disgrace of an establishment. I just finished paying a $160 dollar bill that I didnt know was coming. They insisted they cut a mole off me with almost no information and ABSOLUTELY NO INFORMATION ON THE COST. I am out $160 in these trying times with little money left to live life due to their greedy, shady business practices just to get a little money from my insurance. I am disgusted and ashamed of this establishment and I will never forget the anguish they have caused me today. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone. No one said anything about the cost and if it was or was not covered. It might have been small print in there but you all have a responsibility to educate patients especially when it comes to money out of their pocket. Friendly and very caring office

(Went for mild adult acne.) Normally I wouldn’t post a negative review, but this is something I would have been interested to read before my visit. Hopefully this can help inform someone else. Basically, this is not the right option for you if you’re looking for a holistic approach. I was inspired by the good reviews, but after going and experiencing for myself, I’m just looking for something different. I’m interested in a doctor with the range to focus on other factors (diet and exercise, etc), rather than laser focusing in on prescribing a ton of medicines to force my skin to get clear at whatever cost. ————————————— The scheduling process was fine, billing was fine, but the actual visit was just not my preference. I get into the room, and Dr. Claiborne looks at my face for legitimately 2 solid seconds before talking non-stop and writing 5 prescriptions (2 oral, 2 topical, 1 lotion I could buy in the office, I believe). I tried to bring up that my menstrual cycle and certain foods 100% without fail affect my complexion and was immediately shut down with the lack of current studies (mainly around the food)... then told ”you look nice and thin anyway, so you must be doing something right.” Simply put, just not to my preference, and I wish I had read a review like this one to know to take my money and time elsewhere. I would not recommend Dr. Cole Claiborne to anyone. Especially to African-Americans. He doesn't know much about African-American skin. My appointment was not thorough and he didn't try to understand my concerns. He was continuously reminded of the reason for my visit. But, repeatedly kept telling me what my problem was (which was incorrect). His diagnosis of my skin was incorrect after visiting another dermatologist and finding this discovery. Also, I was told by the next dermatologist that Dr. Claiborne prescribed a medication that would make my condition worst. I WOULD NEVER VISIT THIS CLINIC AGAIN. I have enjoyed my service experiences at this location. Dr. Cole is great for Botox and any youthful cosmetic goals. This destination is VERY LGBTQ+ inclusive, friendly and accommodating.

Dr. Claiborne is my all-time favorite doctor. He is no-nonsense and sharp as a tack. His nurses love him... any questions?

Dr. Claiborne is an amazing dermatologist. He is so kind and friendly. I’ve suffered with acne and hyperpigmentation for years and Dr. Claiborne knew exactly how to treat my skin and my skin has never looked better. His staff is also very nice.

This dermatologist is HORRIBLE they severely burned my skin with a bleaching cream that cost me 100$ I wanted to get rid of my scars I went to speak with the head dermatologist the man in the picture he was extremely rude to me then try to charge me for medication to clear the burns around my mouth that cost 82$ PLEASE DON’T GO HERE !

Best dermatologist ever...hands down! The doctors and staff are absolutely amazing. I've frequented the office many times and have never had a bad experience. Everyone is super professional and they're also somehow able to relate to you on a personal level too. I don't think I will ever go to another dermatologist!

It is always a pleasant experience. The doctors and staff is always so nice and understanding. Dr. Claiborne is a great listener and explains everything very clearly. He never rushes you and will make sure you understand everything before you leave.

Dr. Claiborne's office is efficient and friendly. He's been advising me with my skin and skin cancer for years and I wouldn't expect anything less than his thoroughness with humor.

I can't recommend them enough and I would give them 10 stars if I could. I was seen by Dr. Martin Claiborne and he was warm and very informative. He put me at ease for some major skin concerns and my biopsy was easy and painless. Not only was the facility and the staff great but I was able to get in to see a Doctor quickly and I didn't have to wait a month to make an appointment for a major health concern. Dr. Claiborne is excellent, but his nurses and billing dept are TERRIBLE. I repleatedly advised that their preferred lab (who is probably a buddy of Dr. Claiborne) wasn't covered by my insurance, and to use an in-network lab. They continued to do this, and when I refused to pay for the non-covered lab charge, DESTROYED MY CREDIT and put it into collections. I've never been so disgusted with a medical office in my life.
