Dr. Martha Carole Moore

I met with Dr Moore via telehealth for one year. At the time, I worked graveyard shifts with varying start times so I could only meet with her in the mornings. I met with her every week and missed three appointments over the span of a year, and because of the missed appointments, she threatened to cancel me as a patient because she couldn't afford the missed appointments. First of all, on the paper invoice her assistant sent me, I saw that I WAS billed for the missed appointments. Second of all, 3 missed appointments, albeit inconvenient, out of 52 weeks in a year is not unreasonable in my (and most people's) opinions. However, she spent our last session giving me some ultimatum that I promise to never miss another appointment again or else (I get canceled). I was appalled. Who was this lady? Who was the person I built such a great relationship with? I was floored by how upset and unreasonable she was being. I refused her ultimatum and just told her to cancel me. I sought her out in June of 2000 because I was being bullied at work and now I was being bullied by my therapist for sleeping too long (the main reason I missed the appointments was because I was exhausted from work and either forgot to set my alarm or I slept through it). So unless you are a perfectly normal morning person with a set and regular schedule, then I do NOT recommend her and I'd give 0 stars if I could because this experience has irreparably damaged my opinion on therapists in general.

She helped me so much with depression, even when it was extreme. She helped me better understand my wants, needs, and overall myself as a person. She is very friendly, patient, and supportive.

If you have a teenager look elsewhere. Rather than helping our daughter she made the situation worse.

I just wanted to say that I am so happy to have Dr Moore up here for us. She has helped me through alot and I am still learning. She absolutely amazing at her job. I would recommend her anyone who needs her. Thank you Dr Moore for everything you do.

Would not recommend

I have been seeing Dr. Moore for over a year for depression. She is a good listener and interjects thoughts, opinions and questions when she needs to. She never pressures or pushes -she gently reminds me when I forget to respect myself -and I always walk out of our sessions feeling better. She has helped me immensely.
