Money hungry doctor. I was a healthy 24 year old. I was born with both feet flat. I came in because left one was too painful. He suggested subtalar arthroereises with gastroc release. I was in PAIN for another 2 years, and my foot would always swell up after walking even though this surgery was "non-invasive" and should have taken only 6 months for proper healing. I left worse than when I actually came in. He also gave me nerve damage across my gastroc. He didn't own up that he messed up and suggested vitam b6. It's been two years and my gastroc and foot still feels numb. I went to two other podiatrists, told them I had this surgery. The first thing one said was "And it didn't work right?" and the other just looked confused as to why I even got that surgery in the first place. I got the screw taken out this year, and feel SO MUCH BETTER. TURNS OUT I JUST NEEDED PHYSICAL THERAPY FOR STRENGTHENING. I don't know how he lives with himself knowing he's causing unnecessary harm.

Can I leave zero stars? This guy biopsied the WRONG TOE and refuses to admit his error or take any responsibility at all. I did not read the consent form carefully and that's on me but my notes clearly say I was (still am) concerned about a spot on my second toe. He cut up my third toe. This is one of the most casual, careless doctors I have ever met. NOT recommended.

A very careless doctor. I went in concerned about a spot on the second toe of my left foot and he biopsied the WRONG TOE. He now refuses to take any responsibility for his actions. He says it's all my fault because I didn't read the consent form carefully even though his notes clearly say "second toe of left foot." He is not trustworthy. I would not recommend him at all.

My mom has been seeing him weekly for almost 3 months. Easy scheduling. Get AM appts, which we prefer. Staff friendly. We are usually in and out within an hour.

Dr. Shieh is friendly, relaxed and puts me at ease. He is confident and has successfully repaired the problems I had with my feet. I'm very happy with the results.
