Dr. Schuman is the best doctor I have met over the course of 12 years. She asked questions no one ever bothered to ask, listened extremely carefully and was very clear in planning the treatment. She even drew few things for me on a piece of paper. I grew up in Serbia where my mother was a doctor and owned world class private semi - clinic, therefore it is really hard to find someone else who cares for you not only as a patient but as a daughter. For the first time since I moved to the States, I called my mother and told her I finally found amazing doctor I trust and who cares about my health. Dr. Shuman is always very thorough and communicates exceptionally with me regarding my treatment, she is very friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend her.

If you value your time don't work with this doctor. I was a patient of hers for almost 8 years and she NEVER and I mean NEVER made an appointment on time. I was "referred out" because during my last visit I was upset that at 930AM Dr. Shuman wasn't even in the building yet when her first appointment was at 830AM and there was also a subsequent appointment ahead of mine. This is routine for her. If you are with a patient and running late that is one thing but if you are always an hour or more late and you don't ever apologize for being itinerant it shows a lack of respect and professional courtesy and is ultimately selfish behavior. Sadly this type of behavior deeply tarnishes her medical expertise which is pretty good. If you value your time don't work with this doctor. I had a virtual appointment today with Dr. Shuman. Absolutely loved her! She was on time is extremely knowledgeable.

My brother has seen Dr. Shuman in the Fair Oaks office and she has followed him throughout multiple hospitalizations. She is an excellent physician. She is knowledgeable, straight forward and compassionate.

Very caring, excellent doctor. She has helped me with several severe respiratory infections and asthma during the last 20 years. I highly recommend her!

Excellent! Also, she is not 59 years old .... she is much younger.

She is thorough, personable, and takes the time to know you and your specific issues. She runs late all the time. Plan accordingly. One way around it is to schedule first appt. in the morning, or first after lunch. I will say — she gives you the same thorough time as she does the patients that put her behind. Parking is at a premium; leave plenty of time to circle the garage several times.

The most caring doctor! Never rushes...your time is her time.

Dr. Shuman is very thorough and explains the conditions, side effects, possible reasons and treatment plans in layman's terms. Like an investigative research scientist she connects the dots and makes it easy to understand. I highly recommend her.

Top notch doctor! -- Dr. Shuman is an excellent listener, extremely knowledgeable, and she comes across as someone who really cares about you as a patient, and as a person. That's what makes her a top notch doctor in my book. I'd add that she's a rare find in today's medical community. She's a curious problem solver, particularly if you have a condition that has been nagging you and you've been without answers. All I can say, is "definitely recommend".

Very bad customer service after my in-office appointment, including attempts to keep the doctor from calling me back, saying they were too busy to allow telephone calls from the doctor, that she is too busy for such trivial matters. I would be pleased to email you a complete summary regarding my dissatisfaction.

Dr Shuman takes a very high level of interest in her patients, finding out about the whole medical situation so she can provide comprehensive and very effective treatment. She does not rush the visits and she empathizes with the patient as well as makes excellent decisions on treatment. She is an outstanding doctor and I would highly recommend her. She takes time to explain causes, options, treatments and medications.
