Dr. Markus Niederwanger

Dr. Niederwanger and his staff are very professional and really seem to truly care about me as a person. I am not the traditional patient but he and his staff make accomodations for me. He has the record for pain relief in my case and took me on as a patient when ALL of the other pain mgmt doctors would not. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate his skillfulness and compassion.

Dr. Markus Niederwanger is an amazing Doctor. It was my first visit with him, he took good care of me and enlightened me on issues concerning my back. The staff was very friendly and professional. I felt my needs and concerns were taken seriously and my options were reviewed and explained clearly.

I've been seeing Dr Niederwanger for a couple years or so now. I find him to be highly competent in pain management. He dont just "throw" meds at you to lessen the pain. Different options to are discussed to keep the pain manageable and at bay. He listens intently to my concerns !!!! I don't understand the negative reviews. We couldn't be reviewing the same doctor. There is not a long wait in the lobby at all. They are always kind and friendly, very professional here. And I just love how Dr. Niederwanger listens to me and then we talk over my medical plan. Thank you all for being the doctor & staff that you are. GOD BLESS YOU

The office staff is very friendly. When you come in you have to have a mask on but you can tell that you are still greeting you with a smile. The wait time is not too bad considering it's a doctor's office. Seems like they have a good judge of time and book appointments according. The Dr is awesome. He is very attentive to your needs and gives.off a friendly vibe. It's not about making a dollar for him it's about making sure you get the best possible treatment available. Great Doctor. He performed 5 back/neck injections for me over a bout 5 years and he is always very good . he also has a great disposition and is very friendly.

I love going to the office, everyone is nice, DR. Nuederwanger is a wonderful doctor. He really care for his patient.

For a first visit Dr. Niedermayer took time to explain things for me. So far I would recommend this business to others. I am still waiting for someone to get back to me as to when on Monday my procedure will be, what time?

Dr Niederwanger went DIRECTLY TO THE SOURCE OF MY ISSUE, MADE AN ASSESSMENT AND PHONED IN A PRESCRIPTION. Today I'm 98% back!!!!

I have been to Optim Orthopedics and Optim Pain Management and they are awesome. Doctor Sedory and Dr. Niederwanger are so nice and they take their time to explain what they're doing. They talk to you with respect and I appreciate that. I would definitely recommend them and will continue to go there for any Orthopedic needs.

I am now 74 and since coming to Dr. Niederwanger in November or December 2020, I have gained my life back after 55 years of agonizing Migraines. To me, he is a miracle Doctor!!!!!!! I went to Dr. N. many times since 2017 for back and knee pain. In the beginning he did a good job recommending the various forms of treatments for which I was satisfied. The last 2 visits for back pain were disappointing. I asked about seeing if there were any shots available to give me or to perform ablations on the nerves, but he told me that where I was having the pain in my upper middle back that those two treatments can't be done. Then I asked if there were any other medications other than narcotics that I could take that could help alleviate the pain and he said no. He also told me flat out that he wasn't going to give me any pain meds either, so I left there feeling like I wasted my time and $$ for the co-pay to go see him.i told my neurologist who was treating me for any spinal issues that might have been causing the pain. He did give me some meds to help with the pain but it was only for a short time. The pain always comes back. So I had to start all over again and have my PCM put in another referral for me and I had to wait a week for it to get processed. I finally got approval to see another pain management doctor. Waste of time. Waited 3 hours past my appointment time before even seeing the doctor. When my turn finally arrived, I made him aware that I "DO NOT" want any type of narcotic medication. During the conversation concerning my exam, he stated that I had pretended to have pain when he pressed on my lower back. I corrected him and he acted as though he misspoke. He was friendly. I suspect the negative reviews here are biased unfairly against Dr Niederwanger. He is afterall in the very challenging position of having to reduce dependency on opioids. I know him to be one who cares for the long-term success of others, not merely their short term pleasures : he has demonstrated this on multiple levels. There were countless physicians before him who served as glorified “drug dealers” fearing reducing income rather than doing right for the patient...now Dr N is the one getting judged ? I am really surprised by the negative reviews left for Dr. Neiderwanger. I have always found him to be caring, knowledgeable and very willing to listen to me. He tells you like it is, unlike some other physicians I've seen in the past who don't think their patients understand any words with more than four letters. He doesn't sugar-coat his advice yet explains issues in ways even a non-medical person can understand.x Whether seeing the doctor in his office or at the Surgery Center I have never waited for more than fifteen minutes. Absolutely the worst "pain management" place I've ever seen. Dr. Neiderwanger does not help his patients. He does not care about the pain you are in. He will not help you.

I was a patient of Dr Niederwanger in Indiana a few years ago. We relocated to South Carolina for my husbands job and I'm so happy to be so close to the Dr!
