Dr. Wood repaired my daughter’s ACL and Meniscus after a sport related injury. He showed genuine concern and compassion toward her. Such an injury can be very devastating for the parent and athlete alike. Dr. Wood was accessible and was available to answer all of our questions with researched based data and information before and after her surgery. She is beginning to transition back to playing sports and she feels great confidence in her repair-no pain with great movement. We are thankful to God for Dr. Wood. Dr Wood is an excellent physician, very qualified and personable. I see hum twice a year for my knees problems ( I am 71 years old) and I have always had the best care and communication. Highly recommended

Dr. Wood is fantastic. He explains things and options and WHY! His entire medical team and staff are just wonderful folks. The whole staff follow the thought of "what can I do for you?" Dr. Wood is the best Knee doc out there, bar none.

I severely damaged my Rotator Cuff requiring 3 separate procedures to correct. As I was 69 at the time of surgery, full restoration was difficult and in doubt. I am pleased to say I have regained full strength and motion. Dr. Wood is not only highly qualified but also personable and communicates conditions and outcomes very well. I saw Dr. Wood for knee pain, and an MRI diagnosed a full ACL tear with multiple multi-plane meniscus tears (he even called me from his vacation to go over the results!). He was professional, thorough, took the time to answer my multitude of questions, and his work was excellent. My scarring is minimal, his bedside manner was excellent, and my function is returning right on schedule. My experience with the facility was not ideal because of multiple scheduling issues (starting with his medical secretary and spiraling in to the office--there was a clear miscommunication somewhere). But everything was very easily sorted out. Dr. Wood is fantastic. He performed my shoulder surgery 3 weeks ago. His bed side manner is great and he explains things in terms you can understand. He gave me everything I needed to know to make an informed decision. He told me it is extremely painful which it was. He also told me how to get ahead of the pain with the pain killers he prescribed. I am pleased with my progress thus far and highly recommend Dr. Wood. I am looking forward to being able to use my left arm again without pain when my recovery is complete. Dr. Wood is fantastic. Dr. Wood is a phenomenal doctor! He takes his time going over your issues, is patient and seems to really care about you. He has excellent bedside manner. I would recommend him to anyone. I am a nurse with over 10 years experience, so I can say that with confidence! He is one of the best providers I have seen out there!

Dr Wood performed an ACL reconstruction on our 13-year-old daughter, and we feel extremely blessed to have gone through this very scary ordeal with him, by our side. Dr Wood made sure we were educated on all options, medical research/studies, and possible outcomes. He is incredibly communicative, compassionate and perceptive to the needs of his patients, and their concerned parents. Post-surgery, Dr Wood remains committed to her well-being and ultimate safe return to sports.

Mark Wood is very personable with an awesome bedside manner, but he convinced me to allow a "look see" surgery in 2011 for pain I had "outside the joint.". I specifically asked him NOT to go into the joint because there was no pain there. I had the same pain after he removed my "whole" Lateral Meniscus, Synovial Fluid, et al. Then was told by his assistant a Total Knee was next...(Mark never mentioned it.) Now 6+ years later, bone on bone, I take supplements to avoid more surgery and walk with occasional brace. Post op, I learned In therapy, my whole problem was the Ilial Tibial band! (What happens to healthy tissue removed from a pt.?) I was advised by another Ortho Surg. in 2015 that I wasn't ready for a Total K., and I'm not trying to get ready!! Everyone at the North office, where I saw Dr Wood, was exceptional. The front desk staff are very personable and efficient. Dr Wood’s support staff were equally as professional and courteous. Dr Wood took a very conservative approach to my shoulder condition, which I appreciated. I had injections and physical therapy for several months before it came to the point that I needed surgery, as I was not responding to previous therapy. I had extensive issues and Dr Wood did an exceptional job. He is not only an exceptional surgeon, but a very kind and caring person. My experience with this office, and especially Dr Wood is a 10/10. If you are in need of an orthopedic surgeon I highly recommend Dr. Mark Wood. I recently relocated to North Carolina and my brother in-law recommended him to me. I have had two previous rotator cuff surgeries( left and right arm) by a highly qualified proficient surgeon. Dr. Wood performed my third rotator cuff surgery and I am here to tell you this was the best surgery by far. Dr.Wood's professionalism, and orthopedic expertise are above reproach!! If you need surgery-get the very best Dr.Wood.

I loved Dr. Wood and his staff! I was so nervous about surgery due to the fact I had never had any type of major surgery. Dr. Wood listened to my concerns and explained what to expect. He took his time with me and didn't make me feel like a number. When surgery time came, he came to assure me that everything would be ok and not to be nervous. He calmed my nervousness and surgery was successful! I would highly recommend him!

Great Doctor, great staff. I had a rotator cuff surgery and Dr. Wood explained everything very clearly and told me what to expect, his staff made sure I had everything I needed and answered any questions I had at any time. I would definitely recommend Dr. Wood.

Awesome surgeon! Will always go to him when I have a need for orthopedic surgery. He has a great bedside manner, and explains what's going on with you in a language you can understand. He's not rushed and takes his time with you. His staff is excellent.

Dr. Wood was outstanding. From the time my daughter tore her ACL through her recovery he was everything we could hope for and more. He was knowledgeable, informative, compassionate, and attentive to detail. The surgery was a success and her recovery progressed without issue. She is now over one year post surgery and has no limitations or restrictions. I highly recommend Dr. Wood.
