Fuck this hack I can’t even sleep anymore and they don’t care

I first came to Dr. Valente for a serious and painful problem in my neck which required a spinal fusion. Before surgery I was in terrible pain and my legs would go out on me or feel quite weak at other times. I had osteoarthritis growing into my spinal canal because of a bulging disc. I was terrified to have the surgery but his office staff and the Dr. himself explained things and helped me through all of it. It's not an easy recovery, but you can do it, I did. Little did I know that nearly two years later to the date I would have to have spinal fusion in my neck for a bulging disc again. This time I had a fall in May which caused another bulging disc to move slightly and cause another bone spur to grow, this time pinching a nerve. I cannot tell you how excruciating the pain is without cringing at the thought of what I went through. It was horrific! But I knew I was in GREAT hands with Dr. Valente and his staff. Once again, I came through this surgery in an incredible way. The one advice I'd like to give anyone reading this is "follow the Dr.'s orders, WEAR your neck brace correctly and at ALL times." Don't mess with your recovery, it's not worth it. Yes, you'll have to sleep in this neck brace for a full six weeks, you'll wear it day and night, but it is for the best. Do yourself another favor and search on YouTube how to sleep in the neck brace, it saved me so much pain the second time around. And with that, if you need an incredibly gifted and caring surgeon with a staff that compliments these attributes, then look no further. You've found a great surgeon.

An outstanding and gifted surgeon that is also professional, kind, considerate and listens to what you are going through - not just looking at the medical reports, that is Dr. Valente. He and his staff are wonderful. I highly recommend this office above all others. I have had to have two spinal fusions (neck) for two different reasons. Each time this man saved me so much pain and suffering it's almost easy to forget what a wreck I was before I found him, because "after" surgery I am whole again. If you're looking for a skilled surgeon with a great team behind him then look no further.

On 21st of April he did T3-L2 surgery for scoliosis because was causing me extreme pain and health problems was the greatest thing he ever did for me! Really grateful for him and his hard work! The best surgeon and highly recommend him and his staff can't thank him enough for giving me a better self-esteem and life no more heart problems and can breathe better and have use of my leg as well! He cares about his patients and wants them to have a better quality of life! Thank you so much Dr Valente for helping me when no one else could! We need more Dr's like him in this world! Definitely will tell everyone my story and how he changed my life for the better

I am 6 weeks post-op from my minimally invasive back surgery and have not felt this good in a long time. I've had two previous back surgeries for different issues but I had continue to have pain, numbness and tingling in my legs. Dr. Valente listened carefully to my concerns and was very thorough in my examination. Whereas other doctors I had seen seemed almost irritated that I still had issues, Dr. Valente treated me with respect and went further to understand the root of my pain. After having a myelogram, he presented me with my options and I am very glad I chose to do the outpatient procedure. My back is not cured due to ongoing disc degeneration disease but I feel like I am more like me than I have in a long time. I am back taking 3-4 mile walks, workouts at the gym and was able to actually do a 50 minute workout on my spin bike without pain. I am very glad I did my research and found Dr. Valente. Should I need a fusion in the future I will go see Dr. Valente without hesitation.

I can not say enough great things about Dr. Valente!! He literally gave me my life back! I went from literally crawling on the floor some days, excruciating back pain every single day, to ZERO pain in less than 48 hours after surgery. He is an absolutely amazing surgeon who truly cares about his patients. I have already recommended him to several friends and family members. Dr Valente completely fixed my issue. I had the ACDF procedure in Dec 2019 and since I have felt better than I ever have ! Highly recommend, actually recommended Dr. Valente to my step brother who had surgery as well. His staff is always very nice and promt. The surgical facility and staff are top notch. They not only cared for me, but for my family as well while I stayed overnight. So glad I went to Dr. Valente for my issue.

Dr. Valente was completely professional and built trust from our very first meeting. He came highly recommended and it didn't take very long to know why. His diagnosis was spot-on, and in the two years since my procedure I've had zero complications and complete relief from my spondylosis. Dr. Valente performed a C5-C5 Mobi-C artificial disk transplant for me, and I couldn't give anyone a higher recommendation.

Warning. Warning. Warning. I went to Disc Spine to see Dr. Valente and experienced the most careless, incomprehensive exam. It was so bizarre and impersonal that I actually thought the doctor was going to come back into the room for a more thorough conversation and exam. When, instead, a staff member appeared with a random prescription I asked, "Is he coming back? What was the point of this appointment?" I'm left feeling extremely frustrated and concerned that this medical facility was not providing a basic level of professional medical examination or proper guidance that one would expect from a doctors visit. I was floored that I left with a prescription for my injury despite the fact that the doctor said he did not have adequate information to assess my injury at the time. How can you insure that you are not doing harm if you did not thoroughly examine your patient and simply prescribed some generic medications? I went to another orthopedic and advise you to do the same.

Dr. Valente was great. I have been anxious about surgery and definitely didn’t have a surgery first approach. I had my minimally invasive discectomy today, 4 hours ago in fact. My hip and side pain is completely gone. I highly recommend Dr Valente. Don’t live in pain longer than you need to!

I had lower back surgery by Dr. Valente in December 2018. Before the surgery I had severe lower back and left leg pain. Immediately afterwards the pain was gone. The nurses after the surgery were telling me to take my pain meds but l didn't need them. I feel 20 years younger.

I had 4 discs replaced& spinal fusion on 12/07/2018. Today was my 3 month visit. I was in pain for 30 years and Dr. Valente fixed my spine from lower back pain. No dr in florida was willing to help me. I found this intelligent dr mark Valente and he performed a miracle on me with the guidance of God. I don't have any pain at all. Excellent surgeon. Dr. Valente gave me a new life and relieved me of all of my pain. I can say that for the first time in years.

I suffered with lower back pain for 40+ years. I have been seen by multiple doctors over this time and diagnosed with just about everything imaginable. Last year (2018) I used a service to find a medical professional that would provide the information needed to make a decision on my next course of action. After a consult with Dr. Valente I felt that for the first time I got a true comprehensive diagnosis. A procedure was recommended, all questions were answered and now I feel great!

I just had my 3 month post-op visit with, Dr. Valente this week. It was on, Thursday the 14th. I had x-rays, per his request before my appointment. My surgery was done on, 10/31/2018. It has been a tough 3+ months. My employer laid me off one month after the surgery. I wanted to return to work after one month. I pressed for, Dr. Valente to release me at 100% work release, but he did not. I am glad he did not give in. I was NOT ready to return to work. He is great and cares about his patients!

Excellent Doctor!!! Very Attentive and actually listens and tries to find a true solution to your problem . I ACDF 2Level Fusion 11/2/2016. After 2 weeks 3 days I was off the pain meds. I wore my neck brace 24/7 as required. I slept in the neck brace and I put the shower brace when showering . I took the vitamin and used the 2 creams on my scar. I am a black female. My scar is almost non existent . No keloid at all. I am 100% healed and pain free. Jessa & staff in the office are awesome !!!

Absolutely amazing dr and I couldn’t ask for better care...I feel so much better and the ONLY dr that did not push pills on me he actually wanted to fix it for my future!!

Dr. Valentine did an outstanding job explaining the procedure i had in 2017 for a laminectomy from spinal stenosis. Its been 1 year post surgery and i and doing well and would like to thank Dr. Valentine for his excellent work.

I was in terrible agony for months before my surgery on 9/13/18 . I had a lumbar laminectomy done , and when I woke up after the surgery , pain in my leg was largely gone . It has been almost a month now , and while I still have some pain , I would easily say the pain is so much less than it was before . Dr. Valente is an excellent doctor , and I would recommend him to anybody that has back issues .

If you Willing to wait 2 hours or more while he’s double booked patients, he’s your guy, if you are willing to get a full set of scoliosis When he has the X-ray and MRI of the affected area and then prescribes an antiflammatory, he’s your guy, if you want someone that’s all about the money, he’s your guy, I chose a different surgeon who had taken new x-rays and I was in in his office 10 befor my appt time and talked to me for 50 min. He was caring, I would never let Valente do surgery on me!

Dr Mark Valente performed a thoracic spine fusion on me in May 2016. Based on the disc he used, I now know the surgery was unessessary. I had been injured at work, but he told me my problem was degenerative. His office staff told me it was easier to get surgeries approved through my private insurance than workers comp. With the exception of the nurses and surgery coordinator, his staff was unresponsive and dismissive. When I complained of back pain after surgery, he told me he couldn't help.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone visiting their offices because of an office policy of having certain insurance coverages. Although I have BCBS primary coverage, they unexpectedly dropped me because I had Medicare Part A as a secondary, which doesn’t apply anyways. I was mandated to pay cash or don’t show up. They are more concerned amount money than your healthcare. Go elsewhere, please.

I had surgery with Dr Valente in December and overall am very pleased. So far I am feeling over 50% improved. Answered all questions and gave step by step instructions to maximize my recovery. As a former RN I give him an A regarding skill professionalism & communication.

Dr. Valente is a very knowledgeable and skilled surgeon who is genuinely concerned about your situation. After reviewing my MRI’s and x-rays he informed me that I would need a lumbar fusion at S1-L5 and described exactly how he was going to correct it. The nurses were impressed that I was up and walking without support just 5 hours after such an invasive surgery, granted I was sore from the surgery but for the first time in 30 years I didn’t have any lower back pain.

Dr. Valente is AWESOME! He gave me my life back! I went from hurting 24/7, laying in bed and hating my life to being me again! Level 3 ACDF back at work in 2 weeks. On zero pain medications for the first time in 4 years. I just cant say enough about him and his staff! His nurse Ashley is just as sweet as she can be!!! THANK YOU DR. VALENTE!

I was in pain 24/7 in my lower back. Dr Valente performed a 360 lumbar fusion on me on April 18, 2016. Since leaving the hospital, I have not had as much as one pain pill. I wish I would have had the surgery sooner! I now have a pain free, quality of life back.

I have had 2 surgeries with Dr valente, through both he was very attentive and always listened to all of my concerns and answered all of my questions. He took the time that was necessary to make sure I fully understood my diagnosis and recovery plan. His staff is also very helpful and nice whenever I am in the office or call for anything!

I had surgery about 3 weeks ago with Dr. Valente and Dr. Indresano. I feel a million times better already and I know I still have about 2 more months of healing but the pain is gone and I thank them both for their excellent work and their entire staff are awesome people. I will recommend them to anyone. They are the best!!!!

Due to a spinal injury and major back pain Dr Valente performed a 360 spinal fusion. Dr Valente and staff went above and beyond in their care for me. They took the time to listen and answer my questions and explained everything to me. I would recommend Dr Valente and his staff to anyone with back pain now and in the future.

Dr. Valente a fantastic at minimally invasive surgeon of the neck and spine. He performed two separate fusion surgeries on me in 2016. My recoveries went without any problems, and exactly as he predicted. He is extremely attentive to his patients and will take the time to listen to you. His supporting staff is equally great in that they were always there to help me through the pre- and post surgery process. I have recommended Dr. Valente to coworkers, and will continue to recommend him.

I absolutely love my new doctor. I was a little scared of traveling 8hrs from home for dr valente to operate on my bAck. I talked to him over the phone and decided to move forward then the day before my surgery we met in his office. Very professional and all about the patient couldn't ask for a better experience

Dr. Valente offered many solutions to my neck problem along with surgery. He and I both knew that I had tried all the other solutions to no avail. Although he was confident in fixing my neck, I chickened out when it came to surgery and he was sympathetic to my worries. I left his office and said I would think about it. I decided to do it. He was sympathetic to my worries. I was amazed from the time I woke up that there was no pain in the incision and i had no complications from the surgery.

I had neck surgery last year from suffering years of back and neck pain. Dr Valente and his staff were very professional, friendly and courteous. I was nervous about the procedure but with their help and support I came through it successfully. I have referred Dr Valente to family, friends and co-workers. Being new to the Dallas-Ft. Worth area I chose Dr. Valente based on my health care coverage and by reading reviews. I could not be more pleased with my choice and will gladly recommend him and Parkway Surgical Center to anyone who mentions they are looking for this type of health care. I had herniated disc surgery the end of February and am now 3 weeks post op. I feel great! Dr. Valente and his staff are very professional and efficient and I lacked for nothing under their care.

Best spine surgeon! I have suffered with severe back and nerve paun for years, with six failed back surgeries between 1998-2004. I had all but given up. When the pain became too much to bear I reached out to Dr. Valente and never regretted it. Had surgery on Jan 23. The horrific nerve pain down both legs is completely gone and for the first time in almost 20 years I had feeling in my foot again! Dr. Valente is a consummate professional who truly cares about his patients.
