Went for toe infection with redness, oozing and pain at base of toenail. No pain on side of toe. Dr. Sowell did not believe how long my toe had been infected-since December-two months before I saw him in Feb. He said it couldn't be infected that long. Did ingrown toenail surgery, horrible pain. Said I had a reaction to numbing spray when I developed blisters and terrible pain for a week after ingrown surgery. After check-up from surgery, told me I didn't need to come back, everything was fine; but it wasn't! Two months later, 4 months total, I am still infected with "oozing". I would not recommend.

Horrible. He looked at my foot for only 3seconds. He then misdiagnosed my problem. Evidently he doesn’t know the difference between hammer toe and a fungal infection. He then prescribe the wrong antibiotic which was $200. Then was pushing to do surgery on my foot. Thank God for second opinions. His bedside manner was smug and arrogant. And his breath stunk.
