I had a complete tear on my right shoulder. Dr. Schickendantz did my surgery dec 2020. It’s been a 1 yr 5 months. I feel amazing and am able to workout 2 hours a day pain free. My only regret is I waited so long. I’d recommend him to anyone that could possibly need surgery.

Schick did an amazing job. I had a complete bicep tendon rupture repaired. The doctor and his PA answered all my questions, accommodated me, and had a great bedside manner. On top of that, at my 4 month follow-up, the doc told me that i had the smallest incision he had ever done. To me, that means this is a man constantly working on his craft and skill set, going from good to great. I was lucky to have had Dr. Schickendantz to perform a couple surgeries on my throwing arm when I was in high school. I first had a "Tommy John"/UCL repair surgery on my elbow in the summer between freshman and sophomore years of high school. I rehabilitated that surgery with little to no issue and nothing that didnt resolve with more dedicated work. I returned to throwing and unfortunately discovered I then had a labral tear in my throwing shoulder. I luckily had Dr. Schickendantz perform this difficult surgery. The likelihood of returning to throwing from the consecutive surgeries is undoubtedly low, based on averages, I am certain. I am here to relay that approximately 12 years after these procedures, I am still throwing frequently with high intensity and have not a single issue with either of these repaired structures. Along with the unquestioned skill on Dr. Schickendantz's part to have had these sustained positive outcomes, the faith he imposed through these difficult times for a prospective thrower (as I identified at that time in my life) were immensely powerful. He was kind and elicited hope through how he conveyed the plans of action.That hope was not false hope. He embodies what you want in a surgeon: skilled, confident, kind, empathetic. Dr. Schick is an amazing surgeon. I had severe arthritis in both shoulders. He repaired both shoulders with less than full shoulder replacements. I have full function in both shoulders. His staff is equally incredible. His PA Jim Cribbins was with me every step of the was. I owe them both my complete gratitude for their ability and professionalism.

Dr. Schickendantz is a great surgeon; however, I was not really all that happy with the follow-up. Also, I am not so sure that everyone gets the same quality of service. In other words, if I was Tiger Woods, I might receive a different QOS. So after a little over one year, how am I doing? Well, a little better than before, but still not that great. When I consider the amount of pain and suffering I went through, I would never in a million years do it again or recommend that anyone else does, unless you're a high-priced sports figure, of course.

I will post this here since the clinic appears to not post negative reviews. This is a copy of the very review I sent them, but you will not find it on their website. I will have to say my family left Dr. Schickendantz's office extremely upset and disappointed. My son is 16 years old and has had chronic elbow pain for over a year. I did not go there to be told what I already knew...."see that big word there it says normal" that is a direct quote from the doctor referring to the MRI. Nor did my son go there to hear "why don't you just quit", referring to playing baseball. We did not go there hoping for surgery. We went there because we knew we had a normal MRI but were hoping the so called expert at one of the top hospitals in the country could help us dig a little deeper. I guarantee that if my son was one of his Indian's players kids we would still be sitting there trying to figure this thing out, instead of spending a mere 10 mins with us. I didn't go there to be told multiple times that he is the Indian's team doctor, I could care less, I went there in hopes we could figure out how to deal with his pain. Honestly I feel like a horrible parent for putting my son through that experience. So in a nutshell if you're in the market for a doctor who is probably pretty good at treating the obvious he might be your guy, but if you have a problem that requires someone to put forth some effort, well he wont take that time with you. I'm very happy with my results. I'm throwing a ball to my dog after 6 months from surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Schickendantz and his team.

Very happy with my shoulder surgery 15 years ago and all visits since and his manners. Very involved with you and your problems.

Dr had to bat cleanup for another local surgeon. Wish I was stii in the area to get other areas adressed.
