Dr. Mark Rolain MD is an awesome opthomologist. His staff is great as well. They put their patients at ease. Was my first eye exam. Chris in particular was great.

Dr. Rolain worked me I to his busy schedule because I experienced some disturbing symptoms. He was thorough and answered my questions even though he was scheduled to leave town for a medical conference. Many thanks to him for his dedication to his patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. Rolain for many years and always found him professional and highly competent, giving full and helpful explanations. From the front desk staff to the end of my appointments, I was impressed with the high quality of care. A special thank you to Kasia and Ashley for their attention to detail in scheduling my cataract surgery and all follow up appointments. Thank you Dr. Rolain! Dr. Rolain took care of my husband. We were both very nervous about his vision condition. Dr. Rolain put us at ease, answered all questions with clarity and compassion. I was impressed with Dr. Rolain’s professionalism and knowledge base. His office staff is courteous and welcoming. I highly recommend Dr.Rolain. This community is fortunate to have him care for us.

Anxiety has become synonymous with 2020 just by dealing with life daily routines duties like shopping, buying groceries , hugging your loved ones and even sending your children to school. Going to the doctor and having surgery in itself is usually stressful, in ordinary times. It was such a pleasant feeling to have some of this anxiety reduced by the professionalism of the University Eye Care. The pre and post surgery contacts were with various modes of communication to appeal to serval senses; visual with the bubble chart, audible with telephone calls, written with text message and of course the most impressive contact was in office! I had cataracts removed from my right eye on the 15th of December and from my left eye on the 29th. During each visit to the office, I felt safe and in good hands. From the moment I walked in with the reception staff, until the moment I walked out with recovery nurse. The doctor was skilled and had excellent bedside manners. Great Experience!

Excellent doctor. Did wifes cateracs great results. Has been my eye doc for the past 5 year. Highly recommended.

I had cataract surgery with Dr. Rolain and am so pleased with the results. He used state of the art lenses and now I can see distance and up close without glasses. He is very skilled and personable. His staff is pleasant, patient and kind. I would recommend University Eye Care to anyone looking for a top notch ophthalmologist and staff! Optical shop is patient and helpful as well as I bought sunglasses. Great variety!

I found Dr Rolain to be thorough, detailed and patient in performing my exam. I had been advised to have my cataracts operated on immediately by my previous doctor in a hurried exam. Dr Rolain explained that I was far from needing surgery and that would not have corrected my symptoms. I really appreciated his honesty. I was very happy with how the whole practice worked together to address my needs. I have a number of other family members who have been very pleased with Dr Rolain!

Dr Rolain has been my Opthamologist for over 10 years. His practice and organization is Top Notch. Along with annual check ups he has very successfully performed Cataract surgery on both my left eye and recently my right eye. More importantly, a couple of years ago experienced gray outs (blind spots) in my right eye. He determined that it wasn't and eye issue but a Blocked Artery and sent me to the hospital, where surgery saved my life.

Dr. Rolain is well respected and his reputation is well deserved. He makes you feel comfortable and takes the time to explain what needs to be done and does a through follow-up.

Seen flashing in my field of view and discomfort in my rt eye- called my old Opthamologists (4 in office). Asked is this a serious concern and do I need to go to emergency or do they need to look at it. They said they would look at it and will call back after talking to the doctors. They didn’t call so I did 3 hrs later. All the doctors wanted to leave early for the holiday weekend so they said call somebody else or go to emergency. I called around and Rolain was the only office willing to see me- said he’d stay late to see me because it sounded serious. 5 pm on a Friday he diagnosed a rental tear and said I need surgery. Took me down to royal oak Beaumont at 8pm opened up the totally closed facility by himself and took care of it. That is so far above and beyond what most doctors would do for a patient, much less for an off the street new walk in patient. All I can say is he’s earned my loyalty for life. Knowledgeable doctor with a stellar local reputation. Not only that but all the office staff are the most helpful and polite people I’ve run across with no exceptions. His appointments run on time, everyone is efficient and helpful- always a pleasant experience. Hard to find better than University Eye Care. I'm so fortunate to have found such a high quality of eye care with Dr. Rolain! He always takes the time to answer and discuss all my questions and concerns. His friendly & caring personality always makes me feel like I'm his favorite patient. (I'm sure all his patients feel the same!) Also, the office & medical personnel at University Eye Care are extremely competent, professional, & friendly. Insurance problems are handled exp expertly and quickly. Nothing but good things to say!!

My experience with Dr. Rolain and his staff has reinforced my belief that a doctor’s office can be professional and efficient while maintaining an extraordinarily friendly and empathetic environment. There was not one person on staff who wasn’t willing to answer questions and ease the anxiety of an impending surgery. This includes the doctor himself. Everyone was warm, patient and friendly in their approach. I am so thankful to my daughter in law for referring me to this doctor.

Always a comfortable experience while seeing Dr. Rolain and his staff. They are extremely professional and informative. I trust my eye health with University Eye Care and Dr. Rolain.

Rolain seen me for a potential emergency issue and I wasn’t even one of his patients stayed late on Friday evening on a holiday weekend. Turned out I needed surgery. He took me down immediately to the hospital and took care of it that night at 8 pm. Above and beyond what you’d expect and his office staff are the most polite and helpful I’ve seen with no exceptions- every person. You can do no better.....

I had a detached retina, which another top doctor repaired. He recommended Dr. Rolain as the only Ophthalmologist in the area that he would use. Dr. Rolain has been great AND his office staff is the best staff I have EVER seen. I'm confident that I've got the best doctor and have the best experience with my visits. The staff is helpful, caring, pleasant and understanding to all. I know, I manage an engineering office and I observe other office staff all the time.

Dr Rolain did my husband's cataract surgery and he is very pleased with the results . His vision is very much improved . I also saw Dr Rolain for an eye exam and thought he was very good and answered all my questions in a professional manner. The staff was also helpful and friendly and explained the normal office procedures in a caring way. Unbelievably LONG wait times - treated with disinterest and briskness by doctor - charged twice for what should have been one visit - insurance fraud. Staff is robotic and uncaring - it's like herding cattle through that office - no compassion or caring or personal care at ALL
