I had my back surgery in 2017 everything went great. Now I’m back maybe for a second surgery but I trust Dr. Rr fro and his staff w my healthcare.

Very personable ~ labeled my husband as having dementia ~ I feel like that’s the reason my husbands other Doctors failed to care for him ~ in late September my husband spent a week at UTHEALTH Athens the ER Doctor there said at the end of that time he didn’t think Jerry had dementia and was he ever tested for chronic leukemia!? We went back to The Hope Cancer Center and got him tested turned out to be the worst leukemia - my husband died a month later

Excellent surgery, minimal pain, speedy recovery. Couldn't have had a better surgeon. I have recommended Dr. Mark Renfro to my family and friends.

Dr Mark Renfro Neurosurgeon, implanted my (DBS) Deep Brain Stimulator in 2008 along my Neuroscience movement disorder specialist Dr George Plotkin. The entire Neurological division and staff are ON TOP OF BUSINESS!! HIGHLY QUALIFIED! I have Parkinson's and they virtually help control most all of my symptoms, at ETMC UT!! I live in Florida but I did not consider having anyone else performing back surgery on me based on a previous very successful surgical procedure by Dr. Renfro in 2011!! In both cases, Dr. Renfro gave me his very detailed and easily understood opinions and options prior to the actual surgery. I highly commend Dr. Renfro for his very successful and pain reducing results - I can only hope that this latest success will last even longer than my 2011 experience!! “A job well done”!!

Dr. Renfro and staff are very nice. However, this clinic needs to update their testing standards for Aspergers/HFA to include girls who present differently.

For the last few months as a practicing Catholic while praying the Rosary, it was impossible to feel the beads. Since the surgery I have had problem at all, Thank You Dr. Renfro!!

I'm a 66 year old male. Through my 40's and 50's I had been an accomplished cyclist, backpacker and mountain climber until, over time, lower back pain and leg, foot numbness made those activities impossible. Dr. Renfro did spinal fusion (L4-L5) on my back 5 years ago in 2012. Since surgery, I have averaged over 3000 miles per year cycling, have backpacked across Glacier National Park, the Sierra Nevada mountain range and recently road my bike up Mt. Evans, CO to 14,130 elevation. He's the best!

Dr Renfro was very understanding and listened to me and answered my questions. He showed me the MRI's and compared them to the prior years.

Patient and kind. Competent and thorough. Excellent bedside manner.

He listened and answered my questions. He gave me the time I needed without feeling rushed or pressured. He showed genuine interest and compassion.

Showed genuine interest; looked me straight in the eye, listened to lengthy history of prior condition; moved through relevant steps to address needs of corrective surgery. Nice demeanor. Never seemed rushed or distracted.

Dr. Renfro was very thorough, seem to care and answered all my questions. I would definitely use him, again if needed.
