I had shingles and he misdiagnosed me for having a muscular problem even after I kept telling him that it felt different from muscular pain, I was having a strange burning sensation, and all the other anti-inflammatories I had tried previously had failed to work. He was so convinced of the diagnosis he made within the first 5 seconds of seeing me that he would not listen to me when I listed other symptoms that did not fit under his diagnosis. Dr Nugent is easy to talk to, great listener, very broad medical skills, thorough and he CARES. My entire family uses (only) him for diabetes, gout, flu, birth control, and more. I can’t express how happy I am we found someone we like so much.

Dr. Nugent has been our PCP for many years. I would highly recommend him. He takes care and listens to the patient and talks through many treatment options. He doesn't make you wait long to see him and the actual consultation doesn't feel rushed.

Mark was very helpful but his staff is disorganized. I went to the clinic about my heartburn and mark gave me some medicines that did help, and then they ran a few tests on me, which the woman I spoke to at the front said was completely covered by my insurance and that they would send the specimens to my health insurance's preferred testing facility. For my follow up appointment I went into the clinic and was immediately pulled back to run some tests, which at the time did not seem out of the ordinary. a few weeks later I received a bill from the clinic for all the testing. They had not sent my specimens to the preferred testing facility that would have covered 100% of my testing. When I called to inquire about the bill I had received the woman at the front desk told me that I had missed my second appointment, and they could not explain my bill I would have to call their billing department. I told her that I had not missed my second appointment, when I walked into the clinic a woman immediately took me back to run more tests and I never spoke to the doctor. I then asked if the tests were not supposed to have been run to which she never answered me. I now have no answers as to why these secondary tests were run and an outstanding bill that is incorrect. One of the most knowledgeable, competent, caring physicians out there. Visits are never rushed, and Dr. Nugent examines the whole picture before consulting the patient. An absolute asset to the medical community in Austin, TX.

Amazing, caring doctor. I have been having trouble getting treatment at the ER for asthma and getting treatment from a pulmonologist. I have never found anyone like him who encompasses outstanding medical expertise, a remarkable quality in professional demeanor while showing kindness, compassion and empathy toward his patients. He is a sincere listener and willing to devote all the necessary time to understand and find solutions with an open mind, to support and help anyone presenting their case, no matter how difficult it may be. Dr Nugent takes care of my FAA Class 1 physical for my profession. He does a great job in communicating important medical information and has a pleasant demeanor while doing so.

Dr. Nugent is the best. He takes the time to listen and doesn't treat you like just another patient. He truly cares about you. I previously had gone to another Dr. closer to me, she prescribed me 2 medications that didn't work. I went to see Dr. Nugent and he prescribed me a different medication that healed me. Dr. Nugent sincerely cares about my medical needs, and has always been above board whenever discussing any issues I'm having. He has moved to a new location in Bee Cave, and I am quite happy to follow him to the new location. Dr. Mark Nugent is very professional, caring, and Very Good at what he does. Dr. Nugent is the first doctor to take the time to actually listen to my concerns, find the problem and work toward a solution. He shows you equal respect and complete professionalism.

I've been going to Dr. Nugent for 15 years and literally trust him with my life. He's great at what he does, caring, and spends the time to listen to you and address all your questions.

I've had nothing but excellent experiences with Dr. Nugent. He really cares and is truly engaged with each patient. Each of the individuals I have referred to Dr. Nugent have been very pleased. My opinion is that he's the best primary care physician anywhere. Note other reviewers are referring to a female - rest assured, Dr. Mark Nugent is male and those are not referring to him I've had nothing but excellent experiences with Dr. Nugent.
