Long wait time

I was referred to him for 2nd opinion to help me for back and leg pain. I fell like he brushed my problems away. The first doctor that sent me had more understanding.

The doctor was friendly and professional, helpful and encouraging.

Efficient, on time, and helpful explanations and start of treatment.

Dr. Miles has provided good care over a work related back injury....

Enjoy the staff so much I moved away and still kept this group as my doctor.

Dr. Mikles carefully explained the test results. He said that I had done everything I could to alleviate the symptoms up to this point but now surgery should be considered. He took his time answering questions and I felt I could make a well-informed decision. He is very conservative, and I respect that. I am very confident in having Dr. Mikles as my surgeon.

I had 11:15 appointment and was called back at 11:00,nurse very professional and polite.taken to X-ray only there a few minutes taken back to room and dr.milkles came in a couple of minutes.he is a wonderful doctor I would recommend everyone to see him and this practice for back surgery.

Went to Dr Mikles for lower back and middle back pain. They only XRAY'd my lower and when I asked him to get my middle back XRAY'd, Dr Mikles said, Oh, it's probably nothing. You're all good.

Dr. Mikles is professional, through and knowledgeable. I know my appointments with him for corticosteroid injections and scoliosis continue to be painless and I get joint pain relief consistently.

Dr. Micals was excellent and I am so glad that I don't have to travel far to see him.

Dr. Mikles was not able to help me. His female PA is RUDE and has no business working with the public. Im done with Raleigh Orthopedics.

Caring physician. Explains everything. He is a great doctor.

I presented with weakness in my leg, barely able to lift it. Dr. Mikles ordered MRI’s and nerve/muscle test to see how they function. Found no reason for the weakness, discharged me back to my primary physician. So disappointing to go through all those tests with no definitive diagnosis.

Not only professional, but you can tell he cares and he knows what he is talking about. He has always given me clear answers to my question and let's me know exactly what is happening.

This doctor helped me walk down hill and down steps again. Before that, I had to back down steps and walk backwards to go down hill. He is a great surgeon.

The visit with Dr Mikles was good. The results are still pending.

I wish the Doctors would spend more time to the patients .

Today was my first appointment with Dr. Mikles, back and leg pain. I waited only a few minutes before I was taken to X-ray. I then met with Dr. Mikles and was totally pleased. Thanks to Dr. Mikles!!

Dr. Mikles was right on time and helpful! Wonderful experience!

He was prepared and knew my history as a first-time patient. He explained the MRI well and led me toward a noninvasive choice.

Dr. Mikles explained exactly what the surgery entailed and precautions that needs to be taken and recovery time post surgery. This surgery has relieved my pain that I’ve suffered for over a year! Thank You Dr. Mikles!

I was suffering from serious lower back and sciatic nerve pain. Dr. Mikles saw me at Raleigh Orthopedic, and he explained my options. One of the options was surgery. He explained the surgery to me and gave me a few links to read about the procedure. I did my homework and then called his office to schedule the surgery. They scheduled every last detail, which made it easy for me. The whole team at Raleigh orthopedic was amazing. On the day of my surgery, Dr. Mikles did a microdiscectomy and laminectomy on my lower back. The sciatic nerve pain is now 100% gone, and my lower back is healing right on schedule. I’m August of 2021 I had a spinal fusion done. My L-5 disc completely removed with a metal cage put in its place 2 rods and 4 screws. Best decision I made, I was told 10 years ago I needed it done but I was scared to do it. I’ve heard stories where people said it made them worse. I did research and found Dr. Mikles. After meeting with him and another neurosurgeon and talking about my concerns. They decided to do the surgery together. I’m six months out and feel so much better. Kim Dr Mikles assist is wonderful and his PA Burke is also awesome and explains things to where you understand what’s going on. Don’t wait go have a consult it’s changed my life for the better.

Dr. Mikels looked at me and only saw the spine condition I have. He did not understan that there was a human being attached to that spine. He explained the x-ray well and showed me the problem on the film. From there, the rest of the exam went downhill and was very rushed. He prescribed an anti-inflammatory. I told him, as indicated on my form, that I was already taking a different anti-inflammatory. He left the room to check what that other medication was. On return, he told me to stop taking the other one and to take his prescription. If I hadn’t brought it to his attention I would be over-medicating with anti-inflammatories. WOW!! He left the room without saying goodbye . I had a couple of questions for him, expecting him to return. So I had to ask the nurse questions of a clinical nature that should have been answered by the doctor. I will not return to Dr. Mikels but will find another dr who knows that treating a condition requires communication with the patient.

Dr. Mikles is an excellent physician. He is efficient, but more importantly thorough and understanding. Raleigh Orthopaedic Center, including the physicians and staff, is a well oiled machine. The service is excellent.

Excellent experience. Excellent explanation of problem, Informative, responsive to questions, clear next steps and protocol, good consideration of potential outcomes and how to proceed.

I had a followup appt and recvd an email to arrive 15 min. Prior to the appt. Which I did. The waiting area had 25+ people waiting when I walked in. They collected payment. I sat and waited for 35 minutes..I was on my lunch break and had to get back to work. They never got to me. I waited in line asked to be reimbursed...I let them know how long I had been waiting ..well over my appt time and hadn't been called back to a patient room. I feel bad for the patients who are older who had to wait. I would not recommend the group.

Very prompt and attentative to my problems and concerns.

I had high expectations, but unfortunately I felt like he rushed through my appointment. Prescribed pain meds, gave me a list of exercises, suggested PT, and then said the whole “come back if it’s not better” which isn’t ideal since I’ll have to pay for another office visit. Hopefully it won’t come to that.

Dr. Mikles was very thorough. During the visit, he covered all the questions I was concerned about without my asking. He is ordering an MRI just to get a better look at my back issue.

For a lumbar (delamination/decompression)/fusion, I recommend you find someone else. If I list out all the reasons, the review will be worse.

I was very frustrated with my experience. I waited over 50 minutes past my appointment time and when the doctor came into the room, never apologized for the delay. Then he seemed too busy to actually listen to the answers to his questions, because he asked them 2 and 3 times.

Very helpful in evaluating my back pain , directions for care until next visit sound good , the injection was appreciated and recommendations for normal pain was appreciated. I did get the back brace at their offices and seems to work very well. I appreciate the doctors attention to my specific problem.

Yes wants to make sure your not in pain if possible. Gave me a shot of cortisone.

Absolute the worst experience with a Dr I have ever had!! He was very rude and was very rushed and had little compassion for my partner that has been in excruciating back pain for a month now. Was able to schedule an appointment for the same day. Dr. Mikles was courteous and professional. Presented my options and let me decide on a course of treatment. I would recommend Dr. Mikles to to my family & friends.

Dr. Mikles did not explain my mom's condition in any clear terms. He was looking to leave the visit as soon as possible. He was annoyed by questions we asked and refused to answer most of them regarding as pain management, what type of brace she needed etc and what she could do to help her healing. I would not recommend Dr. Mikles and feel his gives the practice (which had been excellent) a bad name

Dr. Mikles was friendly and interested in sharing what he saw. He was quick and to the point, took time to explain and shared his findings. He gave me some tips and advice on care going forward and then asked if I had questions.

The staff was professional and friendly. Dr. Mikles did a great job of explaining my issue and the treatment is focused on self healing through exercise with an option of physical therapy if I decide I need it.

Dr Mikels is friendly, knowledgeable, and he explains the facts for you and comes up with a treatment plan that you are comfortable with.

I'm impressed.

I would recommend Dr. Mikles for anyone. Very professional and to the point.

Dr. Mikles was very professional but very personable. He gave me adequate time to explain my syptoms and issues and followed through with review of my xrays and initial OV weeks prior. He conducted an exam and asked pertinent questions as to causation and outlined a plan of addressing my problem. I was referred to him by a fellow employee I worked with prior to both of our retirements. I was very satisfied and impressed with his approach.

Everyone was extremely helpful from check in to check out. Everything went so smoothly. I had x-rays taken which was fast and very convenient. Dr. Mikles took time to explain the results of the x-rays and the MRI that I had previously taken. He gave me options to try and alleviate my pain. I was very satisfied with my visit.
