Dr. Mattingly is very friendly and easy to talk to. He explained how my husband's surgery would be performed. He was very easy to understand everything he was telling us. Surgery went great and I highly recommend him. I see others complain about his office staff. We have had absolutely no issues. They are very polite and helpful. It is a little hard to get through sometimes on the phone but people need to understand this is a surgeon's office and the staff does more then just schedule appointments. They also deal with insurances, setting up surgeries, dealing with hospital personnel. They do a lot. I think they have been great. Thank you for your care. Marilyn

Amazing Dr! He explained everything and helped me to understand my procedure. He took the time to answer all my questions. He was kind and caring which I was thankful for during a trying time.

Hands down a wonderful doctor he cares about his patients and goes above and beyond.he will give u all his attention I would recommend him any day.

Dr. Mattingly was so good at explaining everything to my mom and put her completely at ease. So much so that she's finally ready to be treated with a surgical procedure. Unfortunately, several attempts to call the office are in vain since all you get is a recording saying the office is closed.

Nicest “bedside manner” I’ve ever experienced. Friendly, kind, funny and knowledgeable. Just wow!

Was very thourgh about explaining what was to be done and did it in his office .

First, I'd like to set the expectation that he does run a bit behind in my experience. That being said, he is well worth the wait. He is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. His bedside manner is fantastic. You will get his full attention and time when he is with you. He truly does care for his patients! Ive had a few procedures done right in his office including rubber band ligation and now a blood clot removed from an external hemorrhoid. Both were very quick and relatively painless. I would recommend Dr. Mattingly to anyone.

Dr Mattingly treated my husband with late stage colon cancer he did the surgery cut out all that he could. Very optimistic, very caring, down to earth. Great sense of humor. We love him! That is saying something coming from me. my expectations are very high and he exceeded them. He is a good surgeon and person. He is confident and it really helps my husband and I deal with the upcoming treatment and surviving and actually beating this ravaging disease.

I have been seeing dr Mattingly for 3 yrs he is a wonderful doctor listens and treats u like a friend. I would recommend him 5 out of 5 times. U NEEDto have patience he spend times at ur appt talking n explaining so when it's your turn to see him you'll want the same about of time spent on ur appt . HE'S WORTH IT.. :) GOOD LUCK ?

Dr. Mattingly has done major surgery on me twice. Soon it will be 3. I would not trust anyone else to perform a difficult surgery like he has had to do. He is the best. He is honest, straightforward and not afraid to come to help get paperwork done if he is ready for you in surgery. His bedside manner is as good as his surgical skills. What he operated on me was not an easy surgery. But he did a great job.
