Instead of removing a bladder stone seen on an initial uroscopy exam, Dr Makhuli convinced my husband to undergo a Rezume procedure. This procedure is contraindicated for presence of a bladder stone. During the initial uroscopy, I saw a large stone on the screen and asked Dr Makhuli if he could remove it He replied that it would spontaneously leave the bladder when the scope is withdrawn. This did not happen. After the Rezume, my husband ended up in the ER with the same symptoms as before the Rezume. That same stone was seen and suspected to be the cause of his pain, incontinence and blood-tinged urine. When I called the office to schedule removal of the stone, I was given an appointment 2 months out for my husband to be re-evaluated by Dr. Makhuli. We decided to see a different doctor/practice and the 12mm stone was removed 2 days later.

An excellent doctor, he is so kind and will take all the time you need to get your questions answered. Very understanding when it came to my cancer. I can't imagine anyone else I'd want to deal with. I want to commend Dr. Makhuli on a job well done. He performed an emergency surgery on myself and it was successful. I thank God that he was available when called upon. I will forever be grateful for Dr. Makhuli.
