Mark David Lorenze

A few weeks after having radial (wrist) angiogram, I began to have severe pain in my thumb. I was unable to use my right hand at all. An ER Xray indicated I had a fracture and i was told to followup with hand specialist. I met with Dr. Lorenze, who asked why I was there and glibly informed me that I had no fracture, just arthritis. He gave me a brace to wear and told me to come back in two weeks. I was astonished to see how dismissive he was. I decided to get another opinion and was told I had an issue with tendon in base of thumb and in wrist ( related to angiogram) and was treated with a cortizone injection at base of thumb which gave me my right hand back in a few days. (Luckily I found another doctor as the other fingers on that hand were also starting to go numb.) Not sure where all the raving reviews have come from, but my husband also had a similar experience with Dr. Lorenze a few years back. I do not like to post negative feedback, but if it helps steer someone to another doctor it may be helpful.

From start to finish, Dr Lorenze and his entire team have gone above and beyond in providing outstanding and compassionate care.

Dr. Lorenze performed a shoulder procedure to repair a torn labrum that I had due to a fall. He took the time to explain the procedure to me and regularly followed up with me post procedure to ensure that I was healing according to plan. He was caring and compassionate and ensured that I understood everything at every step of my journey back to full mobility.

Dr. Lorenze is great! Office staff is friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend Dr. Lorenze and Connecticut Orthopedics.

Best staff ever! Very professional.

My wait time was short, X-ray technician and my doctor were very courteous and pleasant. Concern for Covid safety. Having a doctor who listens and explains so that I can understand what my health issue is and treatment available.

The staff didn't make me wait and the X-ray technician was in good spirits. Dr. Lorenzo is very friendly and takes time making his patient understand and see how the problem can be resolved. Have employed this team for a shoulder injury a couple years ago. They did such a great job, I am back for a bad knee.

The Staff was friendly and efficient. I was greeted immediately, did not have to wait long. Dr. Lorenze was so knowledgeable. He treated my wrist and trigger finger issue and I was fixed and out in no time!

The diagnosis was very accurate once I explained my condition. The staff knew exactly what to do.

Dr. Lorenze always explains what is happening, makes a plan, provides all the options, and is very friendly. Short wait times in the office.

My appointment with Dr. Lorenze was very informative and made me feel far less apprehensive about my upcoming total knee replacement. He explained the total process and I left his office feeling very confident In him and that my surgery would go well.

Dr. Lorenze has been my Orthopedist for the past 20 or so years and has performed flawless operations on my elbow, hand and both knees and is a master at giving painless injections of cortisone shots to the knees and shoulder. I don't know where I would be without his help!

I am now going into my second knee surgery with Dr. Lorenze. He did such a good job fixing my knee that I wanted him to fix it again. (I had two freak accidents with my knees, 5 years apart that had nothing to do with Dr. Lorenze). He's an excellent surgeon with a great bedside manner . I would recommend him highly!

He left a large piece of bone after my wrist surgery causing me excruciating pain for 5 months until I had another hand surgeon remove it. He said he had no idea what the problem was. Factory environment. Patients are just cars to move to the end of the line. Avoid at all costs. Find a real doctor.

Dr. Lorenzo was fabulous! I broke my wrist and it healed up nicely! Back to playing golf! Thank you to the staff and nurses all they did to help me! Staff was always upbeat despite they are busy there! Thank you!

A great experience visiting his office yesterday in Madison. He was professional and engaged (never did I feel he wanted/needed to be elsewhere). He took the time to explain what was going on with my hand and what the options were. A first class doctor and person.

The worst unpleasant interaction I've ever had with a health care provider. Office had not one medical diagram hand sanitizer. It looked like a scam. There were two women that worked in the front , I had to look at the crack of their behinds as they stood, one of which was wearing jeans. I sincerely thought I was being pranked while I was there. These people writing these reviews must be friends and family. Dr Lorenze is an exceptional physician. He is informed and compassionate. He gave me choices and I choose my path to arthritis relief. I highly recommend him.

I had seen Dr Lorenze 20 years ago for a meniscus tear, and thought I would get his opinion on what was going on with my knee now. He was very understanding and listened to my questions, explained what my options were and was just a nice person. I'll be seeing him for anything concerning my knee from now on.
