In 2000, Dr. Labowe performed surgery on an old skin graft (1965) on the front of my right shin. I had re-injured it, and the bone was exposed. My PCP referred me to Dr. Labowe. The entire experience was amazingly pleasant. I emerged from Dr. Labowe's surgery with a smaller scar and a much less vulnerable shin than ever before. It was one of the best medical experiences of my life. When in the area, I have visited his office so he can see the condition at 5 and 10 years later. I plan to do so at the 20-year point as well. He has photographed it to use in his teaching. He has always been interesting and informative to talk with.
