Doctor Karavan an awesome doctor who takes time to listen to to you. Doctor Karavan is very professional and is always concerned about your health. Doctor Karavan's nursing staff is very professional and great patient services.

Excellent service and concern for my health. He saved my life.

Seems when I go, he is always in a hurry and spends little time with me (7minutes or less). No tests (EKG or bloodwork) is ever done. Check ups are 9 months apart. Frequently when have an appointment, it gets cancelled and have to reschedule.

My bride needed a cardiac cath as a diagnostic measure. Dr. Karavan came to explain in detail what he would do and how that would change with each possible finding. He spent at least 15 minutes with us and then asked if we had ANY additional questions. My wife is an RN and she was impressed with his knowledge. I'm a husband and when they rolled her back for the procedure, I felt at ease that everything would be fine. It was! My bride needed a cardiac cath as a diagnostic measure. Dr. Karavan has been my cardiologist for 11 years. He is highly competent and very personable. I couldn't be more pleased.

Staff is always great and Dr. Karavan is always wonderful and professional.

Dr. Karavan has saved my life and for this I give him 5 stars. He absolutely knows what he's doing when it comes to my ticker (heart). Between him and Dr. Jason Goebel they have allowed me to continue on with my life. I have recommended both of these doctors to friends and my friends go to them and my friends feelings are the same as mine. Kudos to both Dr. Karavan and Dr. Goebel and to Grand Strand Cardiology Dept. for their care and professionalism.

Dr. Karavan, in my professional and personal opinion is one of the very best Cardiology providers that I have encountered in my life. I say professionally because I am a retired hospital administrator. My career in hospitals offered me plenty of opportunities to work with doctors in all specialties. In addition, I also underwent an open heart surgery procedure in 2006. I know doctors and I believe I have some credibility in evaluating not only their credentials and skills but their all important bedside and patient manner. Dr. Karavan has garnered my total respect.

Dr. Karavan is very knowledgeable and takes the time to make sure I understand what he is saying and makes me quite comfortable. I'm sure that heart patients are quite anxious with any problems that we have and appreciate a doctor that takes the time and effort to make the visit worthwhile, informative and comforting.

I did not have to wait, the nurses were friendly and helpful. Routine yearly check up everything was good. I highly recommend Dr. Karavan.

Office visits are always on time. Dr.Karavan is very thorough with his appointments. If you have any issues, they call you right back.Office team is Awsome.

Have been a patient of Dr Karavan for about 5 years. Very pleased with his care and that of the staff. Great bedside manner and reminds with each visit “do you remember how you felt prior to your heart emergency.” I will never forget and appreciate the fact that he asks.

9 month visit. I love his demeanor, no wasted yakking, just good old how are you and what have you been doing to take care of yourself. Looks at all your medications, and explains the reason for continuing them.

My recent follow-up appointment was a very good and informative session. I came into it with more questions than I ever had for any medical appointment. I was given the opportunity to discuss my listed concerns with the nurse at length and then again with Dr Karavan. These discussions prompted more questions of which both of them gave my plenty of time. I am very pleased with this office and the special attention they give me.

The office and staff is very efficient, understanding and patient friendly. I have been in Dr Karavan's care since moving to Myrtle Beach about 3 years ago. I met Dr. Karavan in the Grand Strand Hospital in Myrtle Beach, SC 7 years ago where I was taken by EMS for a heart attack. I have been with him ever since. He is very intelligent and knowledgeable. His bedside manner is good as is his caring for the patient Can't ask for much more than that. Kudos to you Doc. His nurse Jennifer is great also with the same qualities as Dr. Karavan.

I visit with Dr. Karavan once a year to follow-up on my open heart valve replacement done in 2014 at the Heart Institute in Augusta, GA. I selected Dr. Karavan as my cardiologist because of his experience with aortic valve replacements and for his association with the heart center at Grand Strand in Myrtle Beach. I travel approximately 40 minutes specifically to see Dr. Karavan due to his cardiac specialty. He has a friendly chair side manner and is direct, open and answers all my questions and concerns. I typically have an echocardiogram the same day just prior to my appointment with Dr. Karavan, and am provided feedback from the echo the same day. I would highly recommend Dr. Karavan to others living in this area needing cardiac care.

Dr. Karavan probably saved my life. I suspect I was close to the end and I was very lucky and blessed to have him come into my life. I am about to celebrate my first anniversary procedure and have had my follow up. I am still here! His attention to detail, willingness to address any questions, concerns, willingness to treat the patient with respect (especially for those of us who have served in the healthcare field ourselves for our entire professional lives), technical/medical expertise as an interventionist, and a real focus on improving future health and guiding the patient toward wellness and perhaps extending years of life, allow me to highly recommend him in sudden and unexpected cardio crises. As an aside, he is much younger than I, and I hope he will still be in active practice in case I need his steady hand in the future. May God bless Dr. K!

Dr Karovan saved my life. I know God had his hand in it but I am so grateful for this Dr. Put your trust in him, you won’t regret it.

I would highly recommend Dr. Karavan. He has taken care of me since my first heart attack in 2003 and then again for the second one in 2016, in addition to regularly scheduled visits. Dr Karavan & his staff are great at providing top notch, caring medical treatment. Testing & exams are done promptly & efficiently. Calls & inquiries made to his off ice are returned in a timely manner. His association with Grand Strand Medical Hospital is a huge plus, as I personally recently experienced. My husband had a heart attack on Sunday, was transferred to Grandstrand from Northstrand ER and Dr Karovan did a Cath, angioplasty and stent, I was not sure he would make it, it was the widow maker 100% blocked. He is doing great today. Thank you Dr Karovan❤️

Referral sent to this on March 31, 2019. Called the office on April 1or 2nd left a message.rec’d call from Eric the scheduler on April 4 th. She would give the referral to the doctor to review, and they will call me and schedule my appointment. That never happened, I went on line and scheduled my own appointment which should have been on June11,2019. Well the referral was given to the doctor she called me and I told her that she had the referral so I fax it to her on Tuesday called the office spoke with the black lady at the counter, received a call Tuesday evening they did not get the referral. I call on Wednesday morning drop the referrals of at the front counter Erica said I will call you in about one hour. She did she knew I did not believe what she said to me. There were no justification for nothing that happened. Called the doctor that sent the referral she called and said that one of the office managers will. Intact me or her. Have not heard from anyone, before Ericka hung.

I feel very comfortable discussing medical concerns with Dr. K. Not intimidated.

Dr. KARAVAN is an outstanding Cardiologist. He has identified and monitoried my cardio weaknesses throught the years, and when it came time to repair those weaknesses, he reacted swiftly for a very successful repair. If you are religious and believe in faith like I do. Then Dr. KARAVAN is one of God's angels. Because of Dr. KARAVAN my healthy lifestyle would not exist without his astonishing work, and his knowledge and skills as a cardiologist. I am blessed to have to have as my cardiologist.

I have been patient of Dr. Karavan for many years and would highly recommend him to others looking for a cardiac physician. He always takes time to talk to me and explain anything I need to know patiently and thoroughly. He really seems to care about his patients, and if I ever have any concerns he will order testing or advice. The entire staff is always friendly and efficient.
