We love Dr Johnston and his staff. They have made the process so easy!

I went to Dr. Johnston’s office to get my braces done a couple years ago. He did a mediocre job and honestly my teeth didn’t have the “amazing transformation” he promised when charging me thousands of dollars. When I got them off he put on a permanent retainer without saying anything and had never mentioned it at any of the prior visits or when we originally made the plan and paid. Despite my unhappiness of this I was ensured that if I ever had any issues with it they would be happy to fix it as part of the large sum I paid for my treatment. However last week the retainer cracked and broke leaving a wire poking into my gums and when I called to have them simply remove it they said that it would cost even more money. On top of the thousands we have already paid them? When I tried to explain that Dr. said any repairs were covered, the receptionist said that I was wrong and was unwilling to sympathize or help at all. Reflecting on my experience with Dr. Johnston, it is very clear that he doesn’t truly care about his patients but rather the money he feels he can make from them. The absolute best Ortho practice in all of North GA. 4 children have had ortho treatment and myself with Invisalign treatment. 2 children had a severe impacted roof tooth and Dr J professionally and carefully treated them and was able to bring each tooth into their proper placement with coordination of oral surgeons. Another child had multiple tooth buds and he worked around that. 3 children required franectomies for their front teeth gaps and referred out. ???? You will have perfectly straight teeth when finished with ortho treatment! Extremely trustworthy in ortho care. Professional and sweet front office staff. We initially chose Johnston orthodontics because it was recommended by a friend and also convenient, but since we have started my son’s treatment with braces we have also learned how friendly the staff is and easy to work with, for example if my son ever has a problem they fit him in right away to fix it! I am always very impressed with this practice. The practice came highly recommended when my son needed braces. Now it seems it’s my turn. Disappointed that they only take profitable patients. They didnt even give me an estimate to take my retainer off. Apparently they select patients. At least the receptionist was nice.

I had a great experience here. The braces stayed on longer than anticipated but every visit was pleasant and the office staff was great.

I started orthodontics with Dr. Johnson when I was in middle school and I am now out of college. My retainer recently broke after years of use so I paid Dr. Johnson another visit. It had been probably 7 years since I had been there and coming back felt like I’d never left. Dr. Johnson will of course make your teeth straight, but he will also care about you which makes all the difference in a doctor! His staff is also super sweet! If I could give him 6 starts I would. Dr Johnston Provides excellent orthodontic care for my four children. All my children have complex cases that require advanced knowledge for proper orthodontic treatment. Dr Johnston has been courteous at all times and provides treatment options that are explained easily. Dr Johnston and staff are friendly and always patient when answering questions. I switched to Dr Johnston after several orthodontist misdiagnosed my children’s orthodontic problems. I quite enjoyed it when I went there, well as much as one can enjoy going to a place where they shove metal instruments in your mouth. The staff is lovely, it smells nice there, and above all I got a nice smile. Nothing else to say.

Took 2 of my triplets in today for their checkup to see if they are ready to go into braces. Dr. Johnston took the time to show us and talk us through all the issues going on with the girls’ mouths! Dr. Johnston is a good orthodontist. He ensures your chidlren's teeth are well cared for. The challenge is with scheduling appointments for the Walton School district. If your child attends Walton High School, be aware that scheduling appointments that work with the WHS incentive program is very, very difficult. The office is closed on Fridays and seems to service a lot of East Cobb making obtaining workable appointments very difficult. This results in lengthening the required time in braces. My son had an 8:30a appt and was called back a few minutes early. He was finished before 9a - wasn't even late for school! A sweet surprise at the end was a cupcake treat because it was his birthday month. The staff is always so friendly and professional and truly make you feel like they're glad you're there.

Dr. Johnston and his staff are amazing. At this time, my 2nd sister is a current patient of Johnston Orthodontics. We are very happy with how her treatment is going. He also treated myself and my next sister. I am now 22. There was extensive work that needed to be done to get my teeth and jaw corrected. When my treatment was completed,my teeth were beautiful. I was voted 'best smile' in my high school senior class and represented the county of Davidson, TN in the Miss. Tennessee pageant. They are AWESOME. They have a waiting room for children with arcade games and a TV so that the children waiting will never get bored.They also have an adult waiting room where you can catch up on what you whatever you want to do or just watch the TV they have in there. They also have some kind of refreshments or food near the adult waiting room every morning. If you forgot your coffee or you want some tea, go right to the adult waiting room.
