I can't say enough good things about Dr. Hines and his staff. I've heard enough horror stories to know how lucky I am to have discovered a stellar pain specialist right out of the gate. They are always happy to help me when something is going on and Dr. Hines really cares about his patients and their wellbeing genuinely.

Dr Hines is the most caring ,intelligent Dr I have ever known, he treats you with respect, asks about my family & he treats you like a friend instead of a patient ,listen to you & remembers everything you have talked about from previous appointments ! I agree with other contributors here that Dr. Hines is one of the best physicians I've ever known. I've been seeing him for about 10 years now. He has multiple positive attributes, but he is distinguished by his supportive, energetic and actively engaged attention to his patients. He never dismisses or ignores any of my comments. He wants to be helpful and he will listen seriously to my ideas. He many not be able to solve all my problems, but he never lets me leave his office without SOMETHING to help me. He looks for changes or improvements to medications. He recommends readings or gives solid ideas about things to try. He never leaves his patients without some kind of hope. Dr Hines is great! He listens and explains literally everything in detail and gives you the options you need. Only reason for 4 stars is the receptionist staff, they are rude, non caring non helpful and just plain mean.

Dr. Hines and his Staff are a great team, and I'm grateful they accepted me as a patient. I had been suffering for months with severe joint pain that was unrelieved with other medications and treatments, and now have some answers, effective medications, and hope. Dr. Hines works with other Providers to ensure your care is appropriately managed and individualized to your care needs.

Amazing Doctor… Hasn’t once let me walk away without feeling like every possible question has been answered. I am very grateful for Dr Hines, as well as, his amazing staff.

If I could give more than 5 stars than I would. Dr. Hines is one of the best doctors, I've ever encountered. I have gone through hoops just to even be listened to. I am a young female and it's always been very hard for me to get help for my issues. I have had rheumatoid arthritis since I was young and have chronic pain as long as I can remember. Not once have I felt that Dr. Hines think I am pain seeking. I finally felt heard. I had a L5/S1 fusion surgery last year and just been told to follow up with him as the surgeon was done with me. He's been the only doctor that has even helped me and tried to manage my pain. I don't know what I would have done for the last year. The surgery I had last year was botched and I thankfully found a new surgeon who will fix all the things the first surgeon did. I am thankful that Dr. Hines has been a huge part of helping me narrow down the issues. He's a true blessing. He's a one of a kind doctor and I recommend him to all that has chronic pain like I do. Dr Hines is an excellent specialist with competent staff. Very professional doctor/patient relationship. Chronic conditions change with time, and so do treatment plans. He is very thorough with medical explanations which help you as a patient to consider the benefits and risks of any possible treatment plan. I wish there were more professional physicians of his character.

Excellent Dr, very friendly, great bedside manner, l've been seeing Dr Hines for 15+yrs for chronic pains, he's caring, takes time to listen! He is the best. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful with all aspects of pain management. Provides you with all options when discussing treatment. I have been a patient of Dr. Hines for many years and I am very grateful for all of his advice over the years.

A doctor you can trust. He will explore and explain every possible treatment and offers and explains your options and lets you decide. He has the equipment and can perform a lot of procedures, like epidural nerve blocks, right in his office saving a ton of money over having to do it at a hospital. Was trying to make a appointment for my mother who was being mistreated by her other doctor despite me explaining the circumstances i get tossed around from person to Person and given nothing but excuses. Finally was flat out discriminated against refused service and told they are no longer accepting new patients. (The front desk ladies lied) I was nothing but understanding and patient until then. Dr. Hines is a “unicorn” in the medical field. He cares about his patients and treats each person’s diseases and symptoms personally and individually. I've only seen him once and I'm hard to impress. Dr Hines impressed me and if I could give him more than 5 stars I would. He spent a large amount of face to face time with me from interviewing to counseling on my treatment options. Phenomenal physician who discussed options that I've never heard of. Or options I've heard of but that I know very little about. He is the most intelligent physician I've ever met!!! I only hope this relationship continues to mature and grow so I can work to make improvements while products are brought onto the market to help. If you have chronic pain, he GETS it. I would recommend Dr. Hines for pain management. He is most thorough in explaining your options and is caring and listens to your concerns and questions. Of all the years and treatment I have had, Dr. Hines is the best physician.

Dr. Hines cares, gives options, and explains everything to me in a way that I can understand. He doesn’t do a 2 minute rush visit like most of the doctors these days, he’s about giving his patients the best care and not the money. I wish all doctors were like him, he understands what I am dealing with and after going to him for 2 1/2 years now I feel like we’ve been life long friends. I am really happy I found him. He really is a great person and doctor. The girls in the office are a pleasure to deal with also, very polite and helpful.

I've been a patient of Dr. Hines for going on 3 years now. He is a phenomenal doctor. He listens and he cares and is up to date on all of the latest treatment and even ones that are up and coming. He also thinks outside of the box. I couldn't be more pleased! I highly recommend!!!!

Dr. Hines doesn't deserve 5 stars, he deserves 10 or more. I have been in pain for many years and he is the first doctor to take the time to help. Other doctors treated me like a drug seeker or told me that I just needed exercise and weight loss. Dr. Hines figured out what was wrong and helped. Losing 80# didn't effect my pain level at all. Dr Hines is the most caring and professional doctors I have ever been to. He remembers everything you discussed over the years of seeing him, asks about my family and recalls what I said in the last visit. He is a modern Dr with old-school values. He treats me like a patient should be treated, with dignity and respect.

Dr. Hines has been my pain doctor for almost two years. He is very easy to talk with and will take his time to explain issues and treatments. I would highly recommend him.

Dr Hines and his staff are amaizing. I can't really put into words how well I've been treated on every visit and every phone call. The compassion Dr Hines has with his patients is above and beyond. I am truly blessed to have found such a knowledgeable Doctor and a very helpfull caring team.

With all the professional experience he has, he should be more knowledgeable and aware of patients' family history of opioid addiction and patient's signs of addiction before increasing the prescription dosage of opium based pain killers.

Dr Hines is a compassionate, most competent, and highly intelligent physician. He is willing to discuss all areas of information regarding your treatment, your options and your quality of life. His knowledge of pain medicine is unmatched, with a willingness to share his knowledge in order to assist his patients on their road to recovery. He is my doctor, but he is also my friend. He truly cares. He is THE reason I am able to continue to work today.

Dr. Hines is the most professional pain management doctor in Charlotte. I have been seeing him since 2004 and his compassion has brought me through many trials of pain. I totally recommend him.

Dr. Hines is very professional, knowledgeable & educated on his craft. He listens well to his patients and allow them to be a part of their treatment. His "out of the box" treatment goes beyond the norm, which caters to those with chronic illness.

I have a rare autoimmune disease and have had some negative experiences in the past with doctors not understanding my disease. Dr. Hines is not only compassionate, but he has amazed me in how educated he is on autoimmune diseases and how they affect quality of life. Dr. Hines understands I have dealt with this disease for 20 years and he treats me with dignity. He gives options and offers me education on various treatments other than medications. I no longer dread going to my pain specialist.

After 5 years of suffering with excruciating pain from a Tyroidectomy from having Stage 3 cancer went horribly wrong.....leaving me with life changing severe pain and no answers I finally found a Dr. who had smart answers that made sense. My husband and I feel like I finally have a Dr. who cares. I have options and that gives me hope. Dr. Hines is definitely a great, informative Dr. Explains possible problems along with possible solutions. Women in office were extremely nice people also! Thanks.

Took my wife to see him and was very impressed with his manners and knowledge. Seems compassionate and genuine. Hard to find in these situations.

One of the best doctors I have ever been to. I have been seeing Dr. Hines for over 10 years now. He is never a clock watcher. He takes as much time as necessary with each patient. He always had options for your care. I don't know of any better doctor I have ever been to

Best and most thourough Doctor you will ever find. Extremely knowledgable with a caring heart. I suffered for two years from an injury that Dr Hines was able to identify and help. You start here at never need to go elsewhere.

Dr. Hines is the best doctor I have ever had. He listens, remembers, researches, explains, suggests different treatment possibilities, gives me things to read, follows up, and does not have his own agenda. It is highly unusual in this day and age to have such an intelligent, non-egocentric, helpful and caring doctor.
