I highly recommend Dr Mark Gross, he has been my surgeon for many years, he cares about his patients is always there when you need him, in other words he is the best in my eyes.

I have been a patient of Dr Mark Gross for over 20 years. Being in the Fire Service it was very taxing on the body. Dr Gross kept me on the job until I chose to retire in November of 2020. Having the following surgeries over my career there was never a concern of disability. 1- Full Shoulder rebuild. 2- Meniscus repair times two, separate injuries. 3- Carpal Tunnel. 4- Spinal fusion L4-L5. 9/2014. Returned to full duty a month earlier than expected. 5- Spinal fusion L3-L-4. 3/2022. Was injured 3 years before retiring and having surgery. Recovering now. Each injury Dr Gross kept me on the job, full duty, with no loss of time or use of sick benefits prior to surgery. I have recommended this practice and Dr Mark Gross to relatives and co-workers. Thank You to Dr Mark Gross for the great care over the years.

The doctor and his PA are patient and kind answering questions, providing information and checking other sources that I brought to their attention to make sure it’s safe for me

Dr. Mark Gross is a wonderful, caring and kind doctor who listens attentively to all you need to tell him. He then maps out a way to proceed going forward. I would recommend to anyone who needs an orthopedic surgeon.

I saw Dr. Gross during open clinic hours, so it was a fairly brief visit. He seemed to know what he was doing and addressed my issue. He was professional in demeanor. Not unpleasant, but what might be expected of a busy physician during open clinic

Dr Gross is God's gift to orthopedics.... down to earth caring and phenomenal surgeon. He has kept me walking for over 20 yrs.

Dr. Mark Gross is an excellent orthopedic doctor who is a real doctor and surgeon who is knowledgeable and able to communicate that information to the patient. Excellent bedside manner. He really cares about his patients.

Dr. Mark Gross and his staff are the best,they are always there to answer your questions promptly and properly. He did the surgery on my very crooked 54° spine answered all my questions confidently after seeing my 54° Scoliosis and sent me in the right direction. I wish I would’ve met him sooner. He corrected it by 15°. I had daily sciatica going on for five years. Along with other body pains that left me unable to sit longer than five or 10 minutes straight without having to contort my body into any position to feel less pain and I had very limited walking ability. Today I can I walk a mile without a camal and sit comfortably without having to contort my body on the ground or the back of a chair so thank God for Dr. Gross My hero and friend wherever I may see him. Dr. Gross has been my orthopedic physician since 12/16/2011. I have had multiple treatments and surgeries due to my extreme osteoarthritis. At the beginning, I had seen other doctors for 2nd opinions. Most didn't take the time to listen to me, only concerned with what they had to say, some said no other recourse except surgery, with others, I was in and out so fast, it was like not even being there. Dr. Gross takes the time and actually listens to what you have to say. Shows true concern with how the problem can be managed or fixed. I have been going to Dr. Gross for many years. Quite a few years ago he performed hip surgery on me. Ever since then, I have been a fan of Dr. Gross. Now I am getting steroid shots in both knees because of bone on bone arthritis. Dr. Gross is an exceptional orthopedic surgeon, very professional, very patient answering all my questions, very thorough & very kind. I am also pleased with his assistants & the office staff. My appointment with Dr. Gross was wonderful. He answered ang questions I had and prescribed medication for my current issue. He is always positive and empathetic which is what's him who he is.

Wow! I am so grateful to Dr. Gross and his Assistant Diana!!! I had surgery recently on my hand and was at PT that morning at Good Shepherd only to realize that we thought I had infection. My OT called Dr. Panchal's office to see if I could be seen, but she was in surgery all day so I agreed that an appt the next morning would be fine. After a few hours had gone by I noticed there was def an issue and I needed an antibiotic soon. I called the office back and Diana was nice enough to offer for me to come to the Barrington office and squeeze me in to be seen. Dr. Gross was kind enough to see me and indeed said I needed an antibiotic. He then proceeded to tend to my incision infection and put my mind at ease as well as knowing my pain would be subsiding soon. I do also think its def worth a mention... he's a snappy dresser with excellent taste in neckties ! THANK YOU AGAIN DR. GROSS & DIANA !!! :) Wow! Ed had an appointment to see Dr Gross. He was very thorough, as usual and prescribed medication and a future procedure. He is extremely knowledgeable and personable! As a spine surgeon, HE IS THE BEST!

I had knee problem and Dr Mark Gross did a great job of diagnosis, surgery and follow up. Staff is friendly and informative. I also took my elderly mother to see him and she ended up having him do both her knee replacements. She was afraid for a long time and she said she felt so comfortable with Dr Gross she agreed to get them done.

Dr. Mark Gross really listened to me, when other specialists did not. I specifically asked many other doctors, if I had something and they said no. Well, lo and behold, I had exactly what I thought, per Dr. Gross’ diagnosis. Surgery came and went and I’m so happy with the results! My gram told me to see him as a second opinion, best decision! I had a total hip replacement just Sept. 9th 2020. I appreciate MD Mark Gross very much!!! He is very high professional surgeon. I didn't expect such a good result and such a very fast recovery. On the 1-st day I was able to walk along the corridor, next day I was able to use stairs. It was no problem to go upstairs (14 steps) at home. In 10 days I didn't need pills anymore and walked with cane and without cane in the park ( just 3 weeks after surgery!). Mr.Gross is wonderful doctor and real gentlemen. He is very attentive and friendly. I had a long list of questions and he explained every detail about my surgery and recovery process. I was very impressed with the staff! Very professional and easy to talk to. I worked at Rush University for a very long time and retired now. I’ve been associated with a lot of people and Illinois Bone & Joint Institute Doctors and Staff are very professional as with Rush. Dr Gross was very much what I expected and very professional easy to talk to and very understanding about my health issues. It felt like I was working at Rush again. Dr. Gross is Gods gift to Orthopedic Surgery. He has kept me vertical since 1990. Because of his skill and guidance I have been able to maintain my very active life... scoutmaster of my troop, camping, caring for my horses, dogs, etc. If you want the best, you'll see Dr. Gross.

Active patient left to suffer the weekend because Dr Mark Gross doesn’t get back to you. You can’t leave him a direct message, you have to leave it with Ana his nurse. She will sometimes call you back. Terrible experience - I have never been treated so badly by any Dr or practice ever. I would never recommend this practice or this Dr to anyone.

Dr Mark Gross is very thorough and offered a variety of options for my knee problems.

My knee replacement experience has been been very good. Dr. Gross has been very attentive to all my needs, and follows up daily with Health Loop. I have another knee replacement in April, and I have no concerns about my upcoming surgery. If you need knee help, see Dr. Gross.

Office and nursing staff was outstanding. Dr. Gross was helpful, and listened to the issues and helped with the guidance I needed. He did seem a little quick to get out of the room and on top the next person. Overall, I would recommend him.

Dr. Gross did an amazing job of finding the source of my problem and operating to fix it. He is a great doctor to work with and his skill set in the operating room is top notch. I would recommend Dr. Gross to anyone with orthopedic issues.
