The worst front desk staff ever. They refuse to leave a message for the doctor to call. Had a bad knee injury and 3 weeks for any possible treatment Find another office

Dr. Goodson is a very helpful doctor. His staff is also excellent and will keep you informed on what is happening. Dr. Goodson was very straightforward and got me the relief I needed.

If you’re Dr shopping then Dr Goodson is not for you!! I’ve been a patient since 2006 for Chronic Pain. Dr Goodson and his staff are the best! I do a lot of research about different procedures that could possibly help me and he goes above and beyond to listen and collaborate with me on any and all procedures that might help with my pain, including blocks, shots, SCS, and alternative measures. I visited Dr. Goodson for help with a pinched nerve that had been bothering me for months to the point where it was difficult to sit at my desk. That was two years ago and I'm still pain free. Game changer.

Very good doctor. He doesn't mess around and gets to the point.

Dr. Goodson and staff are excellent, he has helped me on multiple occasions and without pain meds, which was really important to me.

He is a people’s Doctor. I believe in his no non-sense approach to his treatment of my needs. He does not write scripts for the sake of writing scripts. The patient comes first, I like it that way.

I have been seeing Dr. Goodson since 2011. He is an excellent Dr. Very knowledgeable and he does take the time to listen. He does not just hand out narcotics, so if you are looking to feel a good high, he is not the guy for you. He actually treats with pain meds (when he finds they are necessary) as well as injections and other modes of relief. He has gone out of his way to help me get relief. I have had a nerve stimulator inserted in my back, and he looks for other ways to help the pain. He does give me a 12 hour extend relief pain medicine. (yes a narcotic) as well as some other's for breakthrough pain. Anyone giving negative feedback to Dr. Goodson is most likely just looking for someone to give them unlimited narcotics. Dr. Goodson is one of the greatest Doctors I’ve ever used. The bad reviews are ridiculous. I had three spine injections from him. He was very personal and funny! He made me feel like we were buddies, not just Doctor and patient. The girls in the office are very friendly and take the time you need to explain things. I am new to Mooresville and scheduled an appointment with Dr. Goodson. I thought it was Tuesday vs. Monday and missed the appointment (never a reminder like other doctor offices) and rescheduled. My mother passed away and I had to cancel the appointment (ahead of time) and they then said they will not accept me at this practice because I missed two appointments. Like I had a choice my Mom passed away!!!! I don't even know what to say.

Do not waste your time or money here if you want to see a doctor who actually cares about you and wants to help you. This man has zero compassion, zero empathy, and zero problem making you feel like you don’t matter. Just don’t do it!

I never do reviews so this should mean something. The guy was horrible. He will refer you to all his friends and it will take weeks (even when he says "oh I'll call him personally"). Smh this guy needs his license taken away.

I have been seeing this Doctor since December 2003. He has changed his address since I first saw him. I have been with this Doctor longer than an of my other doctors. I have complete faith and trust in what he has done for me. I would definitely recommend any one with chornic pain see a doctor in this speciality.

My husband has been seeing Dr. Goodson for many years. Dr. Goodson does take time to listen and only wants the best for his patients. Those that are critical, may just be pill seekers.

Dr. Goodson was wonderful for me. Come in with pain Leave pain free. Just what I wanted and needed. He is a no nonsense kind of Dr but the best around

He got me addicted to a high dose of a very addictive opioid over the course of several years. I noticed that I was addicted and still in pain even with the medication, and asked him to help me get off that medication. He said I would never get off of that medicine. He is in my opinion a “legalized drug dealer”. I went to a reputable pain management doctor, and it took them a year to help get off of the opioids.

I seen this Doctor today. He wasn't as bad as people wrote to me. But I could see it if you question what he says. His bed side manner isn't good at all. He will Not Treat You With Short Turm Medicine or give you break though meds with long acting meds either. The doctor I screwed up and told me to go see for a second opinion has me on 3 20 mg oxycodone and I wanted 4 to make it last for 24 hours. Dr Goodson treats with 12 hour meds only. Even after I took my pill bottles of stuff I tried he wanted to put me on the same one I tried oxycoton. I tried to tell him I could not afford something that didn't work the first time. I can get 120 pills for $12 but 60 pills were like $55.. so you can take that the way u want. He did say he would treat me... I seen this Doctor today. He wasn't as bad as people wrote to me. Avoid this Dr at all costs. He could care less if your in pain. I think he is a bit sadistic. After knee replacement surgery, and both shoulder replacement he gave a few perk at first. Then with the pain getting worse he would only give her some films that go in the month which didn't help at all. They were to work 12 hrs each bot really lasted only about 6 hrs and not very well. Ive been seeing this doctor a little over a month. The first time I seen him was prescribed meds to only last 15 days so I called a few days before I ran out so I can get a appointment which they couldn't get me in till two days after I was out of my meds. I could hardly walk or work my new job. When I went in for my appointment he tried telling me I took my meds ahead of schedule which I didn't I took them as prescribed. He ended up switching my meds and they seemed to be working fine until my hards started going numb a lot and when I told him about it he brushed it off like it was no big deal.. Now I've got a shapt pain going through my right arm and my hands are swelling and its very painful. When i called and left a message saying I think I maybe allergic to the meds he called me back being very rude saying thats impossible and that he couldnt give me something else. Told me if i felt the meds were causing the problem I can stop taking them and that hed no longer see me.. I didn't have this problem until he switched my meds and I haven't done anything to hurt my arm.. The last time I felt this pain and had swelling hands was when I found out I was allergic to tremadol. This man is very rude and made me feel like I had no feelings and wasn't in pain.. I've been very honest and open to this man and the way he treats me isn't right.. I wouldn't be seeing him if I didnt have back problems and wouldn't need meds if I wasn't in pain.. I have been going to doctors for 30 years due to my disability. I work 60 + hours a week and do my part in contribution to Society. I have been going to an amazing pain Doctor back home and recently moved here and started seeing Goodson. I will not put a DR. In front of his name because he is NOT one. A real doctor listens to their patient and helps them but this guy doesn't! I'm assuming he just likes his paycheck and his title. At my previous pain Doctor it took me 3 months to get on the correct medications so I could continue to work hard at my jobs and balance life. I have now moved here and go to this guy who switches everything on me and cause me to miss work and put my job and health benefits on the line. I tried to explain this to him and he brushed it off and stated he would not continue my regamin because he doesn't believe in short acting medicine and my previous routine that worked for me for 3 years. He insisted on putting me on a medication that made me a zombie and extremely sick coasting me to miss work. I tried to tell him I could literally aford to do that and he interrupted me and said he only believed in long acting medicine only and I could go somewhere else. Dr. Goodson is an "excellent doctor". He investigates why a person is having pain and he refers you to other doctors if need be to assist you in getting relief. Since he deals with pain medication, he takes pain medication and its abuse very seriously. He is a "no nonsense" doctor. He doesn't play games. He is extremely knowledgable. If you're just looking for narcotics, go somewhere else. Dr. Goodson takes the time to treat your issues in the most efficient and practical way. He is very well experienced and professional, and one of the only few area Drs able to do cervical procedures. I have a chronic problem and he is working WITH me on a long term plan to keep me functional and as comfortable as practical. I have been evaluated and treated by DrGoodson. He is a Reg Pharmecist, chiropractor and Medical Dr. that specializes in the non surgical treatment of pain. It would be hard to find that specialized training in any one Dr. anywhere. He will either help you or find the specialist that will help you Dr. Goodson is direct and to the point. He takes objection if you do not follow his recommendations yet still expect results but if you are serious about wanting help, he is the best I have ever found I am glad to have him on my team. I like the way this Dr. is a "no nonsense" kind of man. He is a very knowledgeable Dr. in many different areas. He takes time to answer his patients questions and actually makes eye contact when he speaks to you. This says great things about a man and a Doctor. If they refuse to make eye contact with you then you are just another patient in pain. I realize some doctor's decide not to make eye contact because maybe they don't want to connect to their patients just incase they have to terminate their treatment. But when you go to a pain Doctor and he's wearing $500.00 shoes and refuses to treat you like a patient not a pay check, it has to make you question their ethics. Dr. Goodson is not that type of doctor. He is self driven and does a lot of his own testing on patients. It is impressive when his patients aren't pawned off on someone else for the testing because he don't have time to fool with it. Dr. Goodson takes the time to look at things as a whole and treat his patients accordingly. If you are looking for a Well informed, knowledgeable, no nonsense, and accurate Pain Doctor whom is not afraid to treat your pain, I would highly suggest this Doctor.
