MULTIPLE BOTCHED SURGERIES BY DR FRANKLE Hi everyone. Dr. Frankle operated on my mother 15 years ago for a pretty intense shoulder operation. So much so, it required 3 surgeries. Dr. Frankle botched each of them. My mothers shoulder bled for years. The metal and shrapnel in her shoulder was not removed by Dr. Frankle. In fact, he told her “I removed all of it, more or less.” More or less.. I’m not sure those are encouraging words by a nationally renowned orthopedic surgeon. My mother who to this day still has issues with the three botched surgeries, attempted to hold this Dr accountable, however his legal team was not match for our family and countless attempts failed. Lawyers told our family he was too protected. He needs to be held accountable. This is clear medical malpractice. She endured broken ribs, a punctured lung, and the metal tearing through her skin. And he lied about removing all the metal and bled continuously and was gaslighted. Have a good day!

Waited for over 2 hours to see the doctor and had to leave prior bc of another engagement. Office was packed. Otherwise, he could very well be a great doctor.

Tried to explain the pain runs up my arm I thought maybe I tore a tendon , all I heard from him was arthritis . Then he acted like I was stupid for not getting a follow up I was out of work 3 months couldn’t pull my briefs up . 6 months before I could really work . And the follow up place wanted cash would not use the auto claim I opened . Then he disrespected me for asking my wife to remind me with the details . “ why do you keep looking at her “ she’s my right arm that’s why . Not impressed definitely won’t be going back .

Got a steroid injection in my shoulder and it feels so much better today. I had one once before which hurt a lot going in. This time it was almost painless.

Office was very busy, but the doctor took plenty of time to analyze my problem and offer recommended treatment, which did not include surgery. Evetyone was very professional and quite helpful.

I was aware of Dr Frankle’s reputation being the best in his field. We had a long discussion, went over my MRI results. I appreciate his genuine honesty.

Dr. Frankel is world class and in huge demand. I am greatful I saw him for my arthritic rt. Shoulder. So compassionate and knowlegable is Dr. Frankel he connected with me like no other physician ever. Realize please he is worth any wait!

Dr. Frankle is phenomenal , knowledgeable, experienced and honest in his opinion but waiting time sucks . It took 2-1/2 hr to be taken inside and then another 30 mts wait to see the resident and another 30 mts wait to finally see Dr. Frankle . It was exhausting!!

Thorough and timely evaluation

The wait was long but I was informed when I checked in. The staff is very friendly.

I have been looking for answers for almost 4 years and now have an idea of where to go. I am super happy. Thank you, Dr. Franklin.

Arrived on time told 1.5 hour wait. they text multiple times find it hard to believe they could not text waiting period for appt. I drove 60 miles for appt. he may be good orthopaedic but his practice needs better organization and office staff. Will drive to Jacksonville where I never encountered this type of wasted time

Staff is very friendly and helpful, very courteous, and very professional! I have been seeing Dr. Frankle for 5 years, and I would recommend him to anyone with shoulder problems!

They were very organized and thorough. My condition and treatment options were explained very well.

Shattered right shoulder in 2015. A triple fracture. Grim. Researched the best shoulder replacement doctors. Dr. Frankle kept coming up as the go to guy. He performed a total reverse shoulder replacement. I followed his post surgery advice 100%. Not long after the operation I was back on the golf course. I see Dr. Frankle annually. X-Rays yesterday showed that everything is fine. I could not be happier! Referred a number of friends to him and they also had excellent results. By the way, his credentials are impeccable. Also, he actually invented the prosthesis for the total reverse shoulder replacement. Bottom Line: "Fantastic Frankle" is the correct moniker for Dr. Frankle!

It was over an hour drive for us to Dr. Frankle's office but we were told he was the best. We waited TWO HOURS and only saw the PA. So disappointed. I left there knowing no more than when I got there.

Dr. Frankle is the expert on shoulders. He has done both of mine. One is a regular and one a reverse. He really knows shoulders and I have full confidence in him. I would go to no other.

I went to see Dr. Frankle a few days after I dislocated my shoulder. This was the first major injury I have ever had in my life. I saw his resident first and the first thing I asked him was when I could start working out again. The resident told me to wait six weeks. I then saw Dr. Frankle and asked him the same thing. He told me I could start working out again whenever I felt comfortable. HE SHOULD NOT HAVE SAID THAT! I started working out again when my should felt normal again and that caused my shoulder to get injured beyond repair! When I went back to Frankle and asked him if I would make a full recovery, he said “no” with such indifference and zero empathy. He just ruined my life! I’ve been doing physical therapy and while I have made some improvement, it doesn’t seem likely I will ever get back to normal. He should have told me to wait six weeks before working out again but because of him, I will have to live in discomfort for the rest of my life. I just came home from a follow up appointment and I was talking to my partner about my visit. Dr Frankle was really nice and really cool. Very easy to talk to, thorough, explains things so you can understand, doesn’t talk down to you. He’s a special type of doctor. Everybody at the front desk is cool too. Comprehensive review and no nonsense plan to solve shoulder issue

I cannot say enough great things about Dr Frankle. He has helped to dramatically improve my life. I had severe shoulder osteoarthritis and had lost a lot of functionality and mobility of my arms due to severe pain. The shoulder replacements were almost completely painless. The pain is now all gone. My range of motion is returning. My quality of life has improved drastically. Thank you Dr Frankle. Amazing Doctor. Genius. Inventor. If you are seeking the truth, THE WHOLE TRUTH, go see Mark A. Frankle, M.D. If you don't want to hear the truth of your specific shoulder and health situation, or are not ready to accept the truth, too bad, for that is what you will get with Dr Frankle and his highly capable Dr. partner. They listened closely, and observed. I did not "get it" for he was telling me in a round-about way, (that NO surgery can be done due to the self-destruction mode my body is committing that are destroying my bones.) It took me a 2.5 hour drive home to figure it out. THANK YOU DR. FRANKLE FOR NOT CHOSING SURGERY AND SENDING ME TO A SPECAILIST.

Dr Frankle and Jeff Hamlin are the best. Dr Frankle repaired my right shoulder last year and zi never felt better. I need my left one done now and he will definitely do that one too! Thank you for helping me feel better!

I had a shoulder replacement scheduled with Dr. Frankel about 2 to 3 years ago, but had to cancel due to unanticipated personal issues. My left shoulder hurts much of the time, especially when I move it in certain positions. What is the process to restart my case and discuss this further? I am 85 and one half, but in good health.

Dr. Frankle repaired my right shoulder 6 months ago(June 2020). I've never felt better. He and his staff were excellent. I was totally informed and fearless throughout the entire process/procedure, while I was in their care. . I couldn't ask for a better result. Thanks Doc and staff!!!!!

I had to reschedule my 3 month check up appointment after shoulder replacement surgery on June 10th with Dr. Frankle. I was in New York City and my flight was cancelled because of Hurricane Dorian. I called the office and the person I spoke with rescheduled my appointment for today, September 18th. I received an email regarding the appointment and a text reminder this morning. After driving an hour and a half, I was told I was one week out of the post op period....would need a referral to see Jeff. Would have been nice if the scheduler told me that before I wasted 3 hours of my day. There have been SO MANY PROBLEMS since I opened my eyes post op. This one is just added to the list. I met with Dr Lee on Dr Frankle's staff. He is excellent and I have seen him several times and he explains my shoulder pains and what I have causing these pains, he reviewed my MRI's today, and then showed me what the surgery procedure entailed and it really put me at ease. I feel very comfortable with both Dr Frankle and Dr Lee when my 3 month injections stop working on both my shoulders I will not hesitate having them schedule my shoulder surgery one at a time. In January, 2019 Dr Frankel replaced my shoulder. He restored my life to me and I will always be grateful to him and his talented support team. The operation was pain free, my recovery amazing, I was golfing withing 5 months and feel fully healed now (Sept.2019). Dr Frankel operated on my shoulder in January 2019, within three weeks I was well on the way to recovery. My shoulder was totally replaced. I am so happy that it was Dr Frankel who took care of my shoulder. He stilled my fears and gave me back my life. I will always be grateful to Dr Frankel and his staff, they were so professional. The entire procedure was handled in Tampa General, they were great. They wanted me to stay two nights, I left after one, I already felt better than when I went in. I did not take any pain pills, they offered them I declined, this was a great decision as I already was feeling little to no discomfort. I would strongly recommend Dr Frankel as I have complete confidence in his skills and support staff.

Three months ago I had a right shoulder replacement performed by Dr. Frankle. I was skeptical about the operation as I had read online that a shoulder replacement was more difficult to perform than a knee or hip replacement. Also I had known several people who had had to have the procedure done twice without totally satisfactory results. Well, I have only praise for Dr. Frankle. I have suffered minimal pain from the operation and have experienced marvelous results. I have complete mobility in my right shoulder--I can swim again, blow dry my hair, and attend yoga, Palates, Zumba, Barre, even weight classes. I should add that I am 87 years old. Dr. Frankle is a superb surgeon and we are all so lucky to have him in the Tampa Bay area.

Dr. Frankle took sufficient time & dialogue to explain to me a difficult process required to diagnose/isolate & then treat my shoulder. It feels much better after this last treatment. Thank you.

Dr Frankle and staff did an excellent job of diagnosing and treating my problem in one visit. It was a tremendous relief off my mind. It wasn't rushed and he did a great job of explaining. I would highly recommend.

My mother went into a sinus tachycardia during her reverse shoulder surgery, heart rate of 200+. He should've done a ct scan immediately to check for stroke, he did NOT. He had the audacity to tell me everything went fine! No complications. Every doctor with will tell you THAT'S A BIG COMPLICATION. Kept her in recovery longer, no explanation. I asked for ct scan next day due to stroke symptoms, he did zero. Records and ct days after showed stroke during surg. She went from driving a car to a wheelchair! Lives destroyed. Stroke was found to have come from three heart during that surgery, no other place but as Frankle lied about the complication during surgery and did NOTHING, it was too late for the stroke intervention that could've saved her and her family. She never went home afterwards as she needed 24 hour care after his surgery! It's ALL IN BLACK AND WHITE TOO! YOU'RE NOT SHOCKED, FRANKLE KNOWS AND HAS KNOWN. I would highly recommend Dr. Frankle, just 6 weeks ago, my 80 year old father had shoulder replacement surgery and his recovery time was minimal, he doesn't even need physical therapy. Words just can't express how grateful we are for having a doctor that took such good care of him. The pain he was having before the dreaded surgery impacted his quality of life, hes always been very active. Now, he can proceed with all the activities that he so much enjoys!! Dr. Frankle was very straight forward with us about my surgery to repair my rotator cuff. My recovery was smooth and I would not only recommend him to anyone needing this surgery, but I would look to him for a recommendation should I ever need surgery on another joint.

Excellent bedside manor, spent upwards of an hour discussing my case. I have had many surgeries never did a surgeon show so much interest in making sure I was sure about my decision and did not have unrealistic expectations . The best!!

Had both shoulder replacement surgeries well pleased with what I’m able to do now. Great staff and Dr is easy to talk to and understand.

Very knowledgeable about my situation and did not dismiss me as crazy. I had others act like I was not understanding that it was just my shoulder, when I wasn't able to move it above my head.

After injuring my shoulder and being told by 2 Surgeons that I needed surgery, I went for a 3rd opinion by Dr. Mark Frankle at Florida Orthopaedic Institute. After a careful physical exam and reading through my MRI's with me, he advised let's just continue on with your personal rehab and working out and try a shot of Toradol. Also, Dr. Frankle did NOT want to know what other Doctors told me Before he examined me. He advised that as a Surgeon (Nationally famous one) he could DO Surgery, But after having surgery his own shoulders and being active like me, he thought I was better off without surgery. How often does a Surgeon tell you that? Dr. Frankle is a caring and professional Expert and I can't recommend him enough. In fact one of my other Doctors went to him after my recommendation and later told me: "he is a great Doctor!" That says it all. Thank you Dr. Frankle. In none of my appointments has the dr been punctual. Each time I have had to wait between 1-2 hours just to get into a room then more than 30min to see one of his aides. Very disrespectful of my time. Dr. Frankle only came in pre-op to explain surgery. Each post op visit someone else saw me. Although Dr Frankle is covered under my insurance, his aides are not so later I get an extra bill.

He reviewed my MRI and the X-rays they took and came up with a totally different diagnosis. Another doctor told me I needed a total shoulder replacement. Dr Frangle came a complexly different diagnosis. He thinks I may nor even need surgery and gave me a steroid injection to see if that would stop the pain in my shoulder. He only saw a small tear and thought it my not even need to be repaired. I am retraining in six weeks for a exam. I drove 60 miles to see him and it was worth it.
