simply put: he saved my life. and he won’t even bill me because i am active military.

Dr. Fleischer is a narcissist, rude and condescending. I had a recent visit and he came into the room angry due to me seeing Kelli Lamb last year to schedule a special procedure with Dr. Changela because Dr. Fleischer cancelled my appointment at the last minute. How is a doctor allowed to practice who is disrespectful to his patients? If it’s his intention to run off his patients he succeeded with me.

Don’t waste your time. Dr. Fleischer is a narcissist, has no bedside manner, disrespectful and condescending. I had an appointment with him January 18, 2023. He came into the room angry, called me out for seeing a P.A. in the same office for a special procedure he wouldn’t have performed anyway. I only saw Kelli because his office cancelled a scheduled appointment I had with him for April 15, 2022. I tried to share my recent medical history which has been serious but he wasn’t interested in listening to me. He sat in his chair all puffed up looking annoyed. He left the room and didn’t return and I left in tears. Funny but not really I was his patient for over 15 years. I would give him a zero rating if available.

This Doctor is very rude and unprofessional. He tends to make his patient feel guilty for being sick. I understand as a doctor, he wants his patients to take their illness serious, but the way he act towards his patiences makes it seem like it’s their fault that their sick.

I've been a patient, with GERD, since 2007. Dr. Fleisher is usually quite serious in the office, but humorous on procedure day. You need to have your sense of humor with you. I have another procedure coming up and have no doubts or reservations about him performing it. I trust him.

Horrible bedside manner. He entered the room like a wild man. He did not ask me what was wrong. he just started telling me what he was going to do. I have seen him before years ago and he was OK. But now I have asked to be referred to another physician for my concerns.

Absolutely rudest Doctor I have ever met. A disgrace to Borlandgroover's staff. Treated my 18 year old Son and made him feel guilty for being sick and disrespected me in front of him. It's all about making his Porsche payments and not the welfare of his patients. Giving him 1 star because that is required to make review.

Will not be coming back to see this joke of a Dr. the way he just talked me was about the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever witnessed from a so called professional. I have severe chrons and in need of medication and all this guy did was lecture me about getting vaccinated downstairs. Never again!

Dr. Fleisher is the worst doctor I have ever had the displeasure of being treated by my whole life. He and his office are incompetent, he is rude, has zero bedside manner, and fails to communicate even basic medical concepts. I requested his office fax the results of a test to a specialist (who he insisted I see) and they called to confirm this was done... when I saw the other specialist nothing had been sent, humiliating both myself and this other doctor who had no idea why I was there. Dr. Fleisher told me I needed a second opionion but asked that I still see him at the next scheudled appointment. His office cancelled my follow-up appointment because I was getting a second opinion, as requested by Dr.Fleisher, but failed to tell me so I did not know it was canceled until I arrived to his office. I have active Crohn's Disease and am in constant pain and discomfort. For months now he has delayed any sort of treatment, made excuse after excuse, and led me on wild goose chaces seeing other doctors and other specialists. Dr Fleischer just saw my sister two days ago. For the first time we have some hope when it comes to her crohns. Other docs are petrified to do what he does. Thank goodness is willing to teach us and work with us.

Dr. Fleisher has helped me with my ulcerative colitis for years. He urged me to start remicade when it first came out. I can not tell you how close I was to having surgery. All I can say is I am forever grateful.

He's a narcissist with a horrible bedside manner. Do yourself a favor and avoid walking on eggshells and see a doctor that will allow you to ask questions and speak during your appointment without going off on you.

The doctor is WONDERFUL I’ve been his patient since 2003 that tells you alot his bed side manners are perfect not only can he be serious he has a pretty good sense of humor. He ordered a slab of cake but I knew he meant a sheet we laugh about this all the time. We found a medicine that works for me (Remicade) so why try something else when this works he’s so caring not just to me but my family too. Wouldn’t want no other doctor.

Dr. Fleisher is the worse doctor I've seen in my 41 years of life. He is honesty one of the worst people I've ever dealt with in any kind of business situation. He has a horrible bedside manner and speaks to people like they are children and God forbid you ask him a question about something he tells you. Every time I questioned something he said he would respond with condescension and outright rudeness. Doctors are supposed to be there to guide and educate you along the way but Dr. Fleisher has forgot that in his 30 years of medicine and, at least in my few dealing with him, thinks that since he is a doctor that he is above questioning and we should just take everything he says as the biblical truth. He forgets that while he may be an expert in medicine the patients he sees are experts in themselves and how they feel.

My mother-in-law has seen this doctor several times. Most of the visits were relatively unpleasant, but this week was the last straw. Her husband wasn't allowed in due to COVID precautions, so she was alone and his behavior was MUCH worse. She was told to have blood drawn at the lab downstairs from Dr. Fleisher's office the day prior. She tried but ended up leaving after 5 unsuccessful draw attempts. A lab closer to her house was able to successfully draw the blood later on that day. Dr. Fleisher subsequentially scolded her for getting blood taken elsewhere and rolled his eyes like a petulant child when she tried to explain why. In addition to various other slights, he ended the appt. with, "Yeah, I don't want to see you anymore" before stomping out of the room. All this because she dared to question his insistence that she return to the clinic 3 more times that day to prep for a procedure the next. It's a 45-minute drive both ways! He's a narcissist with an awful bedside manner.

Horrible rude quick and left me in room waiting an hour. Removed mask as I was left alone and came in and was rude about the mask when I commented how long I had waited and wasn’t sitting for an hour alone with a mask on he commented I had anxiety. I was annoyed over his rudeness and not anxiety. He spent all off 5 minutes with me. Horrible bed side manner. Never asked questions. Never go here.

Absolutely horrible and unprofessional. I understand being strict to the rules but a total lack of compassion or just decent human interaction. At no point before the procedure did I recieve any information telling me not to even have a sip of water before the appointment. I had a tickle in my thoat that I could not get by so I had a sip of water. Not a glass of water as Fleisher rudely told my wife I did. I clearly told the nurses it was a sip just enough to swallow. So with that being said I have no issues being told they cant do the procedure it was the manner in which he informed myself and my wife of this. Just plain rude. He disrespected my wife in front of multiple people. Unless the phrase "Do no harm" only applies phsyically not emotionally this is unacceptable and I can not see how this is an acceptable way to treat people. This guy is very unprofessional. Went in today with my father in law, and was very disappointed in the way he was treated by this person. He didn't want to hear what his patient was trying to tell him. He was acting very short and condescending towards his patient. Took everything in me not to reach out and touch him. Dr. Mark Fleischer is highly competent, knowledgeable and caring. He is meticulous about my health and provides superior information, advice and he’s highly experienced. I highly recommend Dr. Mark Fleischer.

Like others say bad bed side manners. The staff was rude also.

I had to wait 45 past my appointment time, even though I was instructed to be there 15 minutes early (which I was). Dr. Fleisher was supposed to explain the results of my endoscopy and colonoscopy. He explained NOTHING! He would ask a question and then talk over me. Told me I needed to see an ENT as the loss of my voice following my endoscopy had nothing to do with him and that I probably had vocal chord or throat cancer. He NEVER even looked in my throat. Waited an hour for nothing. He literally spent 5 to 10 mins tops with me. I was a new pregnant patient(34wks) who needed to be seen for my hemorrhoids. My ob sent me to the Borland Groover group so a specialist can LOOK at my hemorrhoids and give my ob a report. Especially because one of them had ruptured. He did not introduce himself. He did not take the time to look at the hemorrhoids to evaluate them or what stage they were in. All he did was ask me a few questions and sent me off with a prescription of colace. Poor bed side manner. Asking him questions seemed like it was a waste of his time as he seemed agitated answering them. Im extremely disappointed with my visit and feel that I will be needing to see someone else who will give me a proper diagnosis and treatment before I give birth. I hope this doesn't happen to you. I was scheduled for a late afternoon colonoscopy with another doctor in the practice. The other doctor was running significantly behind schedule and I was not in a very affable mood. I was hungry, thirsty, and cranky, when told that I would be waiting another 1-1.5 hours. I also did not hide my unpleasantness. The team at Borland Groover worked the schedule to fit my procedure in on time. Dr. Fleisher and the nurse Lori came in, calmed me down, explained the procedure in detail, and performed the procedure on time and with exceptional results. Thanks for the outstanding bedside manner and making a potentially bad situation into a good one. I will always owe the both of you a debt of gratitude. Thanks! Gene D

I had a colonoscopy today at the Borland Groover facility at JTB and it went very well with Dr. Fleisher. The facility was spotlessly clean. The staff was caring and attentive. Dr. Fleisher was professional, punctual and had a good bedside manner. All in all it went extremely well.

My first appointment with Dr. Fleisher was yesterday. I wanted to add my own experience to the reviews on this site. Dr. Fleisher introduced himself and thoroughly explained the procedure I was about to have. He was very professional and I am sure would have taken the time to answer questions. I felt he was a kind and caring physician. Yes, he was a bit quirky, but that was fine (made me smile). My overall experience was very good and I would definitely request him for my next appointment.

Never! Inappropriate and rude. I brought my fiancé and my neighbor so they could hear how rude the doctor was. He behaved better with someone else in the room. He asked me how I met Jon, my fiancé. I told him on line. He said where? Russian women.com? This as he’s wheeling me into the procedure room for my colonoscopy. There was another comment I won’t repeat. Seriously, I was mortified at his behavior.

My wife and I both go to Dr. Fleisher and have always thought him to be very warm and caring. We enjoy a very good relationship with him and trust him completely. I would definitely recommend him .

I am still dealing with my issues and am working on a plan, however I can assure you Dr. Fleisher is NOT included in it! He is an extremely condesending pompous jerk that should not be allowed to even have contact with anyone already facing serious health issues!! I have never been treated so badly by ANYONE who has chosen medicine as a career path... he should have chose sanitation as my garbage on the curb got treated with more respect then I did!

Horrible. Rude. Arrogant. He talks down to you, as if you are a child being scolded. He repeatedly berated me at my initial visit because I didn’t have insurance previously to see a doctor about an issue I was having. Went for a follow up visit to have him order an MRI that my out of state doctor wanted in regards to my stage 4 cancer and he refused to order it. Told me to go somewhere else. Both visits I left his office in tears. See any other doctor in this group BUT him!

Poor bedside manner and has a respect of person

Very rude and straight up a weird guy. Has very strange body language and comes off creepy. I have had crohns for 11 years and loved my old doctor. This guy wanted me to go to several different places before getting infusions which I've done for 6 years. He never mentioned I needed a chest xray for the infusion during our appointment and when I asked why I would need a chest xray he told me I was difficult and should go to the Mayo Clinic. I agree with him because this has the worse bedside manner I've ever seen. I really miss my old Dr Ira Shafran. Dr Fliesher pushes drugs and doesn't pay attention to diet. With my first visit with Dr. Fleisher I found him to be a very friendly, likable and observant doctor. He did something I definitely admire in a doctor. He checked my past history out with my other doctors before he sat and talked with me. I admire a doctor that does that because he already knows your history before talking with you. Most doctors want you to tell them up front about your past history. It makes the visit so much more pleasant when you see a doctor who already knows your history. Jerk does not even begin to describe this doctor. RUN as fast as you can and avoid all interaction with this doctor. I was sent to his office by referral and after waiting nearly two hours (he was 2 hrs 45 mins behind schedule and in a mood that words cannot describe; perhaps MONSTER comes close). This guy is a huge jerk. Wanted lots of tests before I could continue remiciade infusions. The scheduler wanted to schedule a chest X-ray which wasn’t covered in the appointment. I wanted the dr to call me to explain what this was for when he said I was too difficult and should go to the Mayo Clinic. He is very condescending and had creepy body mannerisms. My last doctor was way better. This guy doesn’t care about people and I would highly recommend finding a different doctor.

Dr. Fleisher was the best GI Dr that I ever had! I live in South Florida so it's hard to see him but I always recommend Dr. Fleisher to anyone that lives in Jacksonville. I have been through a lot of doctors and have not met anyone that listens to me as the patient. Dr. Fleisher is very knowledgeable, caring and he has great bedside manners.

Due to a complicated health problem I was dealing with another specialist sent some troubling test results to Dr Fleisher attempting to get him to move up an upcoming appointment. He refused to do so leaving me no option but to wait an extended time to see him. In the meantime I was diagnosed with cancer. Delaying the tests that fell under his area of expertise delayed my cancer surgery. He is EXTREMELY arrogant and gave me some wrong answers to questions I asked.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Fleisher for 7 years. This Monday I had a 4pm appt. with Dr. Fleisher at Bapt. Hosp. We were having trouble finding a parking space. I made a call to his office letting the them know I was there and may be a couple of minutes late. We were in the lobby 4:02. Dr. Fleither walked past us saying I was late in a very disrespectful, unprofessional tone and kept walking. We were shocked with his unkind, emotional behavior. Very disappointing and demeaning :-(

Dr. Fleisher is a wonderful and caring doctor. When you are with him you feel like you are his only concern. I recommended my fiance to see him and he was very please with his level of care and bedside manner as well. While my fiance was in recovery from his procedure, Dr. Fleisher came over to check on him and immediately recognized me and asked me how I was feeling. When I told him not too well, he looked very concerned and told me schedule an appt. right away. He is top notch.

I found Dr. Fleisher to be condescending and a bit arrogant. When he speaks to you, it is in a measured, soft tone and there does not appear to be any interest in you as a patient. There is no warmth at all. I will be looking for another doctor. Have yet to get results of a biopsy done three weeks ago.

Used Dr Fleisher when I lived in Jacksonville, FL. He is an excellent MD. Proactive in his treatment. Now...you might dry rot with the time waiting in the waiting and exam room. However, once he finally gets there, you will get top drawer attention, with now time constraints.
