Dr. Mark Delacure

Dr. D is a brilliant and seasoned surgeon. To be honest he may not communicate with his patients details of their condition. I believe he does this for the patients sanity. I would not be alive today if it wasn’t for this doctor. He used his intelligence and experience to create an esophagus for me that actually works! He may not be your “cup of tea” but if you want to live I suggest you contact him.

Dr. Mark DeLacure is amazing. He saved my life! He is a brilliant surgeon. You can feel safe in his care. His demeanor is calm, reassuring, and always pleasant. I highly recommend Dr. Mark DeLacure.

Dr. Delacure is an outstanding surgeon, caring physician, and the person you can trust…when you need to have head and neck surgery. He is totally focused on the best practice approach that is world class evidence based; he and his team set an incredibly high bar for responding to questions big and small, and for moving obstacles to the side…to get the timely treatment and outcomes you desire. My successful surgery was two weeks ago, and I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have Dr. Delacure and his team in my corner.

This doctor is absolutely amazing he handles any situation u give him he is just absolutely great from start to finish. A great dr to have when you are diagnosed with cancer and scared he literally takes your hand and walks you through with complete reassurance!

I had 2 surgeries for papillary gland cancer with Dr. Delacure. He was a phenomenal doctor and surgeon. He was also my biggest advocate against a terrible head of endocrinology over at NYU hospital back in December 2008 -2009.

The absolute best across the board. Dr Delacure, his physician’s assistant Justin, Brenton who sets up all the appointments are all just unbelievably great and gracious and take all the stress out of what is a potentially challenging experience. The highest degree of professionalism imaginable coupled with attention to all details and just so humane and kind, I’m in awe of the whole team and feel beyond blessed that I had them to turn to for what was a major surgery. Genius is what comes to mind! Over the Top Doc and his staff is beyond amazing. Very Fortunate to have found him!

Dr DeLacure did a complicated mandible surgery on me after radiation caused the bone to die. He reinforced it with a titanium bar which was fabricated custom to my jaw. I will need to return to him down the road to ultimately have a graft of my leg one to replace the side of my jaw. I will do this without hesitation even as complex as it is involving vascular grafting, bone transfer, and plastic surgery skills. All of which he has 30 years of experience doing. I found him to be informative and reassuring, friendly but professionally appropriately distant. His staff went above to get me a hotel and facilitate my coming from out of state. This is a doctor at the top of his game, I was able to go anywhere for surgery, after a great deal of research this was my choice. He does cases others decline because of their difficulty. While there I learned that he had just come back from two weeks in Africa donating his skills. Clearly An extraordinary human being as well as doctor.

Dr. Delacure and his staff are stunningly professional and make you comfortable. Some of them were so charming that I swore I must have met them before. He lined up the scar from the surgery to match the shape of my neck so that it looks like a wrinkle, just as he suggested he would do. They provided suggestions on how to take care of it ranging from using sunscreen after, an electric razor due to numbness, were very responsive, laid out all the follow up appointments. It's a special place to have a workplace so pleasant, ranging from Brenton in the office, Justin the other doctor who advised me and took my calls for questions during recovery, and the nurses who saw me in the before and after appointments, and day-of the procedure (wish I remembered their names, too). Excellent physician and office staff Dr Delacure is a fantastically talented surgeon with the added benefit of plastics experience. No one can see my scars from multiple Complicated and delicate procedures. Best of the best

I had a small tumor on my forehead and worked with Dr. Delacure to have it removed. He and his team were extremely knowledgeable and professional, and I felt like I was in good hands from the beginning. The surgery was done expertly, the surgery process was straight-forward, painless and professional, and the scar is hardly visible, which is very important for facial surgery. I'd definitely recommend Dr. Delacure!

Very disappointing experience with the staff of Mark Delacure. I can give no judgment about the doctor himself, who I only saw for five or ten minutes. Poor communication and customer service of the staff required me to cancel procedure and I was out $800 ($2000 in creative billings from the billing department) in pretesting with nothing to show for it. Couldn't get approval for surgery. Nobody returned my calls or e-mails. Everyone told me to call back tomorrow. I feel totally ripped off.

I was scheduled to have my thyroid removed, due to cancer. Originally the surgery was scheduled with another doctor, one that I was not confident with. Right before the surgery, I found out my insurance didn't participate with this Doctor any longer, and I was sent to Dr. DelAcure, I believe everything for a reason. Dr. DelAcure gave me the confidence to have the surgery, explaining why it was in my best interest. He didn't say we can do this or that and leave it up to me. I am not a doctor and the thought of someone cuting my throat open was scary. He was straight and to the point with me and I felt very confident. I had the surgery Oct.of 2017 and everything went well, and they still keep track of my progress. I would highly recommend this Doctor, and as for the staff, I was very impressed with all their help. Phenomenal guy, even better surgeon. Removed my thyroid + tumor in 2013, my recovery was perfect. No scar, this gentleman in an artist.

Had 9/11 caused tongue cancer that had spread to lymph nodes. Dr. DeLacure is an amazing surgeon who saved my tongue and ability to speak correctly. He has wry sense of humor and the level of his medical and surgical expertise is unsurpassed. Highly recommend him to any patient with head and neck medical issues.

Dr. Delacure operated on me in April, 2017. It was a complicated operation which two other doctors had referred him to me as they said it was beyond their ability and recommended him as the only person they felt could perform the operation successfully. In addition to living up to their estimation of his ability, I was further impressed with his professionalism and bedside manner. He answered all questions and explained everything fully and genuinely cared for the well being of his patients. Thanks to him, I can eat my food and swallow properly and sleep well again too. I must thank Dr. Delacure and his staff for providing the most incredible surgical care imaginable. Being a member of the NYU medical community, I immediately asked my doctor colleagues who my ENT surgeon should be for a slightly complicated issue that would require surgery, and all unanimously recommended Dr. Delacure. I couldn't be happier they did! He is extremely intelligent, thorough, kind, and handled my case with precision and professionalism above and beyond what I could have imagined. My surgery was a huge success. He came through for me in every way imaginable. As an added bonus, his physicians assistant, Justin, is top notch. He is such a smart and caring medical professional and oversees your case with an expert touch. If anyone in my family is ever in need of an ENT expert, I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. Dr. Mark DeLacure – He's THE BEST!!!. I did my research before selecting Dr. Mark DeLacure for my parotidectomy. My surgery was exactly one month ago-December 29th 2017. Everything went well with no complications at all and my scar is almost invisible. Dr. Mark is an excellent doctor with the best bedside manner. The office staff- Brenton is very responsive and P.A. Justin was always available to answer any questions thoroughly pre-and post-op. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Mark!!!

I did my research before selecting Dr. DeLacure for my parotid surgery. The experience was as pleasant as a surgery can be. Dr. DeLacure anwsered all of my questions patiently, explained the surgery and possible complications as well as what to expect afterwards. The office staff (specifically Brenton) is very responsive and P.A. Justin was always available to anwser questions thoroughly especially post-op. I'd highly recommend Dr. DeLacure and NYU Langone.

I had a complicated operation which two other specialists said were beyond their ability. Dr. Delacure was recommended to me. It was not only successful, but I can now eat regularly again without trouble. Dr. Delacure also fully explains the procedure; answers all questions to your satisfaction; is personable and seems to genuinely care about his patients. I highly recommend him.

Dr Delacure was great. He just did surgery for me on 6/24 and he was so patient with me. I would recommend him to all my friends and family! Always caring and follows up and staff was really great too!

Dr. Delacure is experienced, professional and an expert at surgery. That said, he is also brusk with a poor bedside manner and his office accountability is terrible. Both times I've seen him I've waited over an hour and the last time he was still in surgery during our scheduled appt and no one told me until I specifically requested to find out how delayed he would be. I get that he's good at his job, but there are many others who are as well without all the attitude and wasted time.
