Mark Day

Everyone here has been so kind. Never before in my life have I had to even go to a doctor's office often, but due to recent health complications that has changed. I am more than glad that Dr. Day is my primary care provider.

Never met Dr. Day, Made an appointment over a month ago, was ready to finally have a good doctor who can be my primary care Physician and his office calls me the day of the appointment to tell me he "doesn't do" FMLA paperwork. Well thats 85% of the reason I go to a doctor so I can keep my job while managing my chronic condition. Thank you guys, now the next time I have an episode and I don't have my FMLA filled out Ill be written up. I can handle the "doesn't do." That's whatever. But waiting until the day of the appointment to let me know after confirming the appointment twice before....ridiculous

I can't even get someone to pick up the phone to answer my questions or make an appointment. Things were so much better prior to selling out to Optum. Dr Day is a great man who has helped me a lot, but I am frustrated that I can no longer see him when I need him most. It's like jumping through hoops just to get an appointment. Really sad whats happened over here. :-(

I feel safe, it was the first time, doctor Marc knew everything about me, everything is well organized and clean.

I have many health issues. I have neuroendocrine cancer and diabetes that has left serious health issues like nonhealing foot ulcers and kidney disease to name a few. I was born and raised in Chicago and moved to Henderson last year at 51. I was terrified of finding a primary doctor who would be in charge of my overall care. With all my serious health issues. Dr. DAY has been a God send. He is from the midwest and really has an amazing bed side manner. He sets me at ease and i trust him completely. I highly recommend him. He talks to you on a personal level. I am really lucky I found such a competent and caring Doctor I have many health issues. Dr. Day's office is dangerous as hell, get far away and fast, this place is a scheme and scam.

If i could Give zero stars i would. Dr Day is horrible doesn’t care about his patients doesn’t pay attention and really careless about your health. His staff is always dropping the ball as well. Do not go here if your looking to get your health under control.!

Had a very pleasant experience. From the front desk to the nurse and through the appointment. The staff was professional and very helpful!!

Dr. Day had always been very professional and kind. When I explained to him what was going on with my health, he immediately sent me for further tests so that we could look at the Whole Picture rather than just treating the symptom. I like the detail that he puts forward to help patients.

I have been going to Dr. Day for over 15 yrs. Not only is he an excellent doctor, he is a caring patient wonderful person. The woman, Mandy, I scheduled an appt with was so polite, helpful and kind . There's not many left like Mandy and Dr Day anymore.

I went to Dr Day for the first time about 7 years ago; I found him to be an excellent doctor who knows a lot, but when faced with a situation that should be handled by a Specialist, he will say so. I grew up in a medical family (my father and brother were doctors; another brother was a Psychologist and my mother was a teacher of lab technicians) so I don’t tolerate bad behavior in a doctor or office staff very well. I have never had an issue with Dr Day’s office staff in the handling of my appointments or other requests. When Optum took over the practice, I was no longer able to see Dr Day in Network. And, I have been having a great amount of trouble finding a good doctor; I will be going on Medicare in November, 2020 and will definitely be making an appointment to re-establish myself as a patient with Dr Day! Dr day and his staff are wonderful. Never a long wait time and always a pleasure to be there.

Dr. Day is a great, great doc. However the group is is now with, Optimum Care, is by far the worst I have experienced in my 41 years in Las Vegas. These people add a whole new meaning to the word 'incompetent'. Forced me to find another doc in a group that actually cared about their patients.

Worst experience ever. Staff wasn’t caring and put me off after they told me to come in and they would work me in. I had a raging UTI, with a high fever, passing blood, and bad pain. I waited three hours. Finally, I asked the staff if I could give them a urine specimen. Reluctantly, they gave me a container. Now it was going on four hours. The pain was becoming unbearable and my fever had spiked. I left and went to the ER. I was quickly seen and treated. When I got home there was a frantic message that I needed to come back because I had an infection that needed treatment immediately. Needless to say I never went back. Worst experience ever. I have been going to Dr Day for 15+ years and he is the BEST GP you could ever have.kind ,Compassionate and Knowledgeable . HOWEVER since he has join OPTUM CARELESS , it is a chore to get to see him. The last 6 appointments have all had to be changed because of office issues and its impossible to speak to the office because all calls channel through a main number. Worst setup I've ever seen. Great Doctor , Terrible procedures . !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr Day is WONDERFUL. Very caring and skilled. HOWEVER.......now that he is affiliated with OptumCare, I can no longer recommend this practice to anyone. It is a shame that the insurance environment put him in a position to sell-out to this terrible, terrible company. I was a patient of Dr Day's for almost 20 years. I felt that my healthcare was a true partnership with him. OptumCare has no interest in the welfare of any human whatsoever; neither their employees, nor their customers. I am now seeing a different healthcare provider.

I am writing for my husband. He has been seeing him for years. Ever since the take over, its not run the same anymore. And you can tell that NO ONE IS HAPPY. Including Dr. Day. Gone are the days of taking your time and talking with your patient. OptumCare doesn't care about the patient, just the $$$. Having said that, its NOT Dr. Day at fault. Its the company he WORKS for now. They really suck.

He really does not want to be there it's just a part time money making thing for him , i would recommend you find a different provider with some skin in the game !

I was never able to get an appointment, they'd tell me to go to urgent care. The people were often rude and didn't seem to be very empathetic.

HORRIBLE!!!!!! Only thing he does is refer you elsewhere. Hard to get appointments unless its routine. Refused to see me on my last visit!! Had nurse refer me elsewhere....... STAY AWAY

So angry EVERY TIME I call. Love the Dr's Nurses and staff at the actual office (they get 5 stars *****) BUT the call center is awful. Very rude, zero courtesy, and unprofessional.

Quite possibly the most worthless doctor on the West Coast. Office is completely inept at getting back to you with referrals. The doctor screwed up the dates on my paperwork and refused to correct which screwed me out of a week's pay. DR. Day is great, but every time I make an appointment, sometimes 6 months in advance, they call a couple weeks in advance and use the “Dr Day has a conflict we need to reschedule you, which is 3 months away from your appt”. Since he has joined the new company service is absolutely the worst.

I agree completely with David Rubel's review- the office at 56 N Pecos is full of incompetent people. Referrals are impossible to get. Can not get in touch with care providers at the office. Phone calls are not returned- they promise return calls within 48 hours- doesn't happen. Urgent messages are not delivered to the care providers (at least that's what they claim). Avoid this office at all cost. Especially Jessica Rowland, APRN and her assistant Monica they are the worst. I've been seeing Dr. Day for 17 years. He was quite busy back then and deserves to have help, which is why he joined the OptumCare group. Every doctor reaches a point in his or her career that he or she needs to slow down a bit and get some help. I know he is not as accessible as he once was, but the alternative is to start with someone else, which I will never do unless he retires before I die. I've been seeing Dr. Day for 17 years. I'm a patient with Dr. Day. He is one of the best doctor I've ever encountered (and at 73 years of age and prone to examining every ache and pain) that's saying quite a bit. I'm also impressed with his P.S. Branden. He too is knowledgeable , thorough, and friendly. I credit Brandon's excellence to Dr. Day.

Dr Day is the only doctor that I trust that I have met in Vegas this past 30 years in Vegas; he understands what he can do for you as he evaluates your tests and verbal input. He is confident in his knowledge and, as he should, he refers appropriately to other Specialists, when necessary. But, alas, since he is now with Optum and he is Out of Network on my insurance, though, I have gone to see him and paid full cost as I have been unable to find any other doctor that I can trust. Unfortunately taken over by opt-in. Just try to call them and after 45 mins you should have your answer on this group. Even when they answer they show a total disregard for the patients needs. The call center is rude and dismissive and give wrong info and refuse to put you through to Tracy or Adrienne who I'm my case could have helped me immediately. Through them I s it with no heart meds and my life is in danger. Disgusting group

Been going here since I was a kid, Day is chill and has always been helpful. He doesn’t waste too much time once you are out of the waiting room.

I've been going to Dr. Day for years; my health has improved thanks to his guidance and oversight. He is patient and thorough.

Very disappointed with Dr. Day. I have been a patient for almost 20 years. Was recently discharged from the hospital after undergoing an angiogram with complications. Severe sciatic pain as a result. Was referred back to PCP for follow up. Staff nurse stated that they could not see me. Either contact cardiologist or seek help at a chronic pain center. Cardiologist insisted that my sciatic pain needed to be evaluated but was turned down again by Dr. Day's office. 0

Dr Day has been our family doctor for 20 years. I am in my 60s and my parent are in their late 80s. I have a brother 1 year older than me. We all have Dr Day as our primary. Dr Day and his staff are wonderful. Dr Day is mostly a traffic director. He hears your complaints and issues and sends you to the appropriate specialists. The only problem with Dr Day is that at times it can take a long time to get in to see him. His staff is great. Especially Tracy and Adrian.

I have been a patient for over a year now and dr. Day is one of the best. Yes he is busy and it takes a while to get an appointment if you are a new patient but that is because he is very good and takes the time to sit and go over all your past health issues the first time he sees you. Once you are an existing patient it only takes a few days to get in to see him. He takes care of his patients and always does right by them. He is worth the wait. Wow a doctor who runs pretty much on time! Took the time to explain those test results and what all the numbers mean

I was very unpleased with services at Dr.Days office. Making a appointment with them is nearly impossible it was a two month wait just to get started. After waiting two months I go in to find my appointment was never made (I wasn't even in the computer/this being the second time after giving them my information) so I would then have to wait another two months for a new appointment. then when asked why I needed the appointment (which is to get my prescription refilled) I was told they didn't refill my kind of medication. My question is why didn't they ask me that question from the beginning before waiting two months to find out. What a waist of time!!! I found the receptionist not helpful at all and didn't understand my frustration. If the receptionists are any type of a reflection of Dr. Day i don't see how they are still up and running. I have been seeing Dr. Day for about a year. He is a great doc and have had no issues with his staff. While they are busy, they are always cordial and work with me and my schedule. Dr. Day is very no nonsense and a strait shooter. Great Dr. and would and have recommended him to friends and family alike.

Dr Day is not the problem. His Office manager Joyce is. She is very rude and is definitely the reason why my wife and i will no longer go there. I called in regards to a bill i received that should have been billed as routine preventative. She began to yell at me saying i didn't make the appt right etc. When i called to make the appt i explained exactly what i needed. THEY made the appt accordingly. If she has issue with how the appt was put in their system then she should discuss that with her staff. I could not believe how rude she was. Unfortunately it will cost him our business and many more if that is how they treat people. I have been seeing Dr. Day for about 10 years now. I am not sure why other reviewers would comment on the office staff; people want to know about Dr. Day himself. I only trust Dr. Day with my care. I have a history of cancer in my family and I'm trying to keep an eye on changes in my body to catch anything early. He is busy, but when he gets to my room, Dr. Day takes the time to listen to me and talk about my concerns. He advises me on options and takes an interest in my comfort. He does that with everyone.
