Dr. Mark Anthony Curzan

Dr. Curzan repaired two torn rotator cuff tendons and various other maladies within my shoulder ten weeks ago. He is a real problem solver. My shoulder feels great, and I hope to be back to yoga in 4-6 more weeks. I've been diligent with my recovery workout, and today he told me I am doing really well. One of my most FAVORITE DOCS!!!!!!!!!!! Super friendly but gets down to your needs and has helped me numerous times...have another small surgery coming up. Feel very confident!!!!!! and super Happy!!!!

I have been seeing Dr. Curzan since he and I were in our early 30s at the office that used to be in Garner. I think I was possibly one of his first patients. From day one to 30 years later, he hasn’t changed a bit. He was caring and very knowledgeable about any issue you had back then, and he hasn’t changed today. I wouldn’t trade him for any other specialist in the world.

I have been getting treatment from Dr. Curzan for the past year or so for my knee problems. He is very thorough and detail oriented, discusses all available options for me to choose. He explains the pros and cons of each of the available option and helps us make an informed decision. I feel a lot better now and I’m able to resume most activities, KM thanks to Dr.Curzan.

Dr. Curzan is a fantastic Dr. He listens well, always gets to the root of the issue and provides great advice going forward.

The procure to repair my torn meniscus was performed by Dr Mark Curzan and he did an absolutely fantastic job! I am healing up quickly and I'm very mobile already. Absolutely wonderful surgeon who has superb surgical skills as well as excellent "bedside manners"!

I have always found Dr. Curzan to be optimistic when I have visited him for a sports related injury. He takes time to listen and then explain the injury and the treatment program to get me back and going again.

He is very personable and listened to my concerns. Great recommendations and put my mind at ease.

My visit with Dr. Curzan was excellent. He carefully explained my condition along with his plan of treatment. His pleasant personality and conversation attributed to me being less “tense” during the treatment.

Dr Curzan is a wonderful doctor. He actually bothers to listen and will discuss your concern or idea and will respond without being condescending and bother to go into detail why your suggestion is possibly not appropriate or will research this new or novel idea and get back to you. I won’t even go into how funny and fun he is. All said and done a very professional caring person

Thorough explanation of issue. Very professional and courteous

Dr Curzan is extremely personable. We were in and out in less than 30 minutes and that included getting X-rays. He talked me thru the X rays and gave me my options. I told him my preferences and he agreed with me on course of treatment. I have always felt good about treatment received from Dr Curzan. He is comfortable to talk with and always answers my questions to my satisfaction unlike many doctors who try to rush you through. I would highly recommend Dr Curzan.

This was my first visit and I came in with issues from a previous surgery that had lots of problems. Dr Curzan spent a good amount of time with me getting the history and he asked lots of questions. We reviewed my X-rays and he suggested I meet with a colleague that specializes in revisions to see what we may need to do. Overall I was very pleased with the visit and the time Dr Curzan spent with me.

Absolutely! Made me feel totally comfortable and conducted a painless procedure on my knee, which I greatly appreciated! He has a good sense of humor and is very easy to communicate with and is very good at explaining the circumstances of one’s health issue. He certainly did so with me. A great guy, to whom I would certain want to return to see if my circumstances should warrant in the future! ????

Great bedside manner, he spends time with you. Dr. Curzan has treated all four of our family over the years. We've all had excellent experiences.

Very experienced and explained my knee condition and possible treatment.

I was nervous for this visit because I've had bad experiences with Orthopedic Surgeons in the past, particularly their attitudes and not feeling like I was being heard or treated like a whole person. Dr. Curzan (and others in his practice came highly recommended to me by multiple friends), and I'm so glad I bit the bullet and finally saw him. Dr. Curzan was friendly, empathetic, and easy to talk to. He wasn't at all rushed during the two appointments I had with him, and he made sure to answer all my questions. He didn't jump to any invasive treatments and just made me much more optimistic overall about my situation. I highly recommend him and Cary Ortho in general. The entire team was professional and seamlessly organized. It was also a big help that I could get my MRI done there.

I have been seeing Dr.Curzan for several years for various issues. He is without a shadow of a doubt the best Orthopedic Surgeon I have ever had. He takes the time to answer all your question, to make recommendations, talk to you about latest research that he may know about concerning your particular problem and always Honest!-This is a rarity these days. He remembers his patients and he always makes time to see how you have been doing in general. What a Great sense of Humor he has- it is infectious- but make No mistake, he is a Briiliant Surgeon. If you need a Great one then see Dr.Curzan- if you just need a mediocre one, then this is not your doctor.

The staff was friendly and efficient. Dr. Curzan's thoroughness and questions made me feel he was going to find the issue, which he did, and was able to take care of that day. He was talkative, friendly and I didn't feel rushed.

Can’t say enough great things about Dr. Curzan. He recently operated on my foot to relive pain in my Achilles’ tendon and now no pain at all, not even “after surgery” pain. I wouldn’t go to anyone else for orthopedic surgery.
