Dr. Mark Andrew Clifford

Dr. Clifford listens well, offers helpful advice and always works with me on what medications I try and when they are not working he is responsive to changing things. I appreciate his frank and honest viewpoints and the last 3 years working with him have been great. I've made great improvements in my life with his help. When I felt my diagnosis was not complete, he reevaluated and adjusted with the new information we've learned over the course of our time together and now I feel I'm healing and more stable than I ever was in the past. His style may not suit everyone but I have found him to be the best psychiatrist of the 5 or 6 I've seen over the course of my 23 years in the psychiatric care of TCC.

While under the care of Dr. Mark Clifford I was hospitalized twice in one year due to his gross negligence as a healthcare provider. The first hospitalization was caused by medications that he never once gave me the choice in taking and lack of appropriate supervision for mind altering substances. The cause of the second stay in hospital was again related to medications he forced on me, without supervision which seems to be his standard of care, with the added complexity of a traumatic brain injury after he failed to respond to his duties as my doctor. After having to relearn to speak and walk while in hospital, I promptly found a doctor who has not once neglected me, a welcome change to which I never was accustomed to while under the care of Dr. Mark Clifford. I respect this doctor, but it would be wise of him to find another field in which his skills would be more useful.

Dr Clifford has always taken the time to listen to everything I have to say and explains everything very well. He makes it so I am an active part in my treatment plan.
