The dr is awesome is staff are awesome as well. I highly recommend this dr.

My overall experience with Retina Consultants was excellent. The entire establishment works like a well-oiled machine. My condition, a partially detached retina, required emergency surgery and I got immediate and perfect care. My surgeon, Dr. James Luu, was calm, considerate, caring, and very professional. After my 30 minute surgery another patient who was waiting asked me how it was -- I reassured her by telling her truthfully that it was "a piece of cake"! And I healed in one month!

Dr Chittum & his staff took exceptional care, and that was just a bonus to saving my sight.

Dr. Chittum was my original retina specialist in the late 1990s, and I have just returned to him after a series of unsatisfactory experiences with Pueblo ophthalmologists. He is extremely knowledgeable and caring, his office is set up for all of the latest high-tech testing, his staff is wonderful, and he is a true gem in both his bedside manner and his and willingness to answer and explain any questions. Dr. Chittum was my mom's Dr for many years. He is compassionate and cares for his patients. He helped preserve her eyesight for many years. Dr. Chittum saw me on an emergency basis while I was vacationing in CO. He took great care of my sudden loss of vision and has referred me on to a great physician back home Ohio! Will always be greatful to him!

Dr Chittum is a gifted/talented surgeon.He performed surgery for a Macular Pucker and also got rid of my galaxy of floaters. I have had floaters 12 - 15 years and a cloudy eye for over 10 years. All the physicians I have talked to said there's nothing that can be done. Dr. Chittum is a super hero to me -- I can see clearly now !!! No Haze Or Dullness. All was done with no pain at all. Had a great experience. I was very pleased with the results. Dr Chittum is very talented & did an excellent job in reducing my (R) eye wet macular degeneration from near blindness to 20/40 vision. Way to go Dr Chittum!

Dr. Chittum has cared for my eyes in excess of ten years. Without his expertise, I may have been blind by this time. He is the best of the best.

Mr. Chitum doesn't like questions, I tried to explain my extreme intolerance to pain, which seemed to fall on deaf ears until I had to insist, having had these procedures before. After that, I had a huge floater, so big, I thought I had gone blind. I called after hours. He came in and yelled, NEVER call after hours!! Unless you are on your knees vomiting/blind! I had to get an injection, he said it shouldn't hurt, and stuck the needle in my eye. And reacted badly when I made a sound.

Dr. Chittum has no time for his patients. He is rude, abrupt, and appears disinterested in his patients as individuals. He is well aware that he is the "only game in town" regarding retinal specialists, and he acts like he can do whatever he likes because he has no other competition in Colorado Springs. He ruined one of my eyes which will never be the same. The final time I saw him I waited two hours and when I asked him a question he informed me that he was too busy and didn't have the time. I would never recommend him to anyone. Dr. Chittum has no time for his patients. He is rude, abrupt, and appears disinterested in his patients as individuals.
