I just got home from surgery! I don't need pain meds,I feel great.He explains things very well,his staff in the office was great and Erlanger was a ten too. I highly recommend Dr. Bookout

Took my granddaughter to get examined for tubes in her ears... My wife and I have full custody and had noticed she was having multiple ear infections... arrived 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork as instructed by the voicemail the office left... the staff took personal court documents and my identification... after waiting past our appointment time and the staff refusing to explain why they had to keep the documents rather than make copies for 45 minutes, we decided that this unprofessional atmosphere was not to be trusted... this is the same doctor that put tunes in my grandson's ears while they were infected and caused him to go deaf in one ear... Staff is rude and inconsistent. Wait time is over 45min. Not that great of a Dr. for all the stuff you have to deal with.

I should have read the reviews ahead of her appointment. Long story short. Office staff was super rude . They never told me Parent had to be present. My nephew was unable to check her in so I was gonna drive by . It was only 10 minutes drive from my work Which would make it 8 mins late from her appt time. but office lady said they wont have enough time to see her because Appts were fully booked and I have to have paperwork with me which they supposedly mailed. I never received one, I mentioned I don't have it and will fill up when I get there but she said They cant see her unless I have their mailed paperwork. And next appointment was after 2 months. She already waited 6 months to get checked.They should get some nice office staff who knows how to deal w these situation. It could have been explained little nicely. Started off bad and got worse. Asked if I brought paperwork they mailed which I never received. She had a bad attitude and more or less accused me of lying. After filling out all the paperwork and turning it in she asks for custody papers from the court for my biological daughter. I have not had a custody battle over my daughter therefore no papers exist but she states no surgery can be performed without them. Bookout had already taken out my daughter's tonsils years ago and one grew back. We left without seeing him. I will go to Nashville if I have to. Started off bad and got worse. I dont understand why everyone dont give 5 stars to this wonderful place. The staff is friendly, funny and very efficient in getting us in and out. Dr Armstrong is a fantastic surgeon(both my children has had their tonsils removed by him) and he is good looking just for added fun! I will always come here for all mine or my families ENT needs. It’s taken me 4yrs to write this review but I’m finally ready. I took my then 5yr old daughter. After filling out paperwork & being asked for more legal documentation then required. The office staff refused to refer to me as my daughter’s “mother” or “parent” even after being corrected. My daughter was refused treatment in this office for being legally adopted!

Dr. Bookout took time to listen to my concerns and actually pinpointed something that my body had been depleted of for years that no one else had been able to see. I like the fact that he referred me to a natural remedy instead of trying to push pharmaceutical drugs and surgeries which is what other doctors typically have done. I appreciate his straight forwardness and yet he still was very kind. I highly recommend Dr. Bookout!

I would give this place zero stars if I could. The entire office is rude and unprofessional. Dr Bookout is even worse. If you have an issue an want to get the problem fixed save your time and money, go some place else!

Don’t waste your time going to this place! We had an appt. at 10, we arrived 9:52 We drove a solid 45 mins to be at this appt. we waited 52 mins to be put in a room, then waited another 20 mins in the room waiting to be seen by the Dr. the nurse eventually comes back into the room and informs us the Dr. will not see us with out the CD of the CT our son had done months prior to this appt. Office staff neglected to tell us we need to get a CD of scan. Wanted us to come back with the CD at a different date. Doctor never came into the room to introduce himself or apologize for his office staff not notifying us to get a copy of the CD images. His nurse was nice, but the office staff are not friendly people! Don’t waste your time going to this place! Dr. Bookout discharged my child as a patient today because I felt that my child did not need to go through with his surgery tomorrow due to he has been sick and is still sick, he has a cough sinusitis and pharyngitis per his pediatrician today. A viral and bacterial infection, I tried to cancel one week in advance since he had HFM a week prior to today, they requested I keep the surgery and come to pre opp. The pediatrician also said he wouldn’t advise the surgery being sick put him on an antibiotic and a steroid to help get over the sickness so we can get the needed surgery done at a later date when he is well. however DR. Bookout discharged him as a patient all together, as I sit here with my son and he’s throwing up every few minutes and I had to give him Zofran because he feels super nauseous and can’t stop vomiting I can’t help but think what would’ve happened if I let Dr. bookout bully me into the surgery tomorrow morning!!!! My son literally had a fever less than 24 hours ago. I’m highly disappointed in him he obviously does not put children’s needs before his own. So now since he discharged my son and refused to reschedule the surgery that way my son can have what he highly needs (tonsils removed) at a later date, he’s no longer a patient of his, now my son has to seek out a new ent and go through the whole process again just to have them removed. I looked up his reviews last night before going in (as I usually do before something big) apparently this is his thing, to out patients who become sick right before a surgery and can’t help it, to no fault of my own or my sons. This man only has 3 stars out of 5 that should speak volumes to parents taking their children to him. I severely broke nose. In Dr Bookouts words ”I crushed it” he decided it needed surgery to be fixed. I could not be happier with the results. He was very professional and straight forward. Staff was also very friendly. I didn’t know any ENT’s but I can now say that I know one and I very much appreciate him and the work he does. I was extremely worried about it still looking deformed after the splint came off. Im telling y’all it was horrible before the surgery. The splint came off today and I was pleasantly surprised. Will take about a year to fully heal but I look as normal as I can with two black eyes, lol. I will give Dr Bookout and his staff 5 stars and as many referrals as I can. Thank you guys! Dr. Bookout is a phenomenal ENT doctor. My daughter has a great connection with him and thinks he is just the greatest thing ever. We appreciate how chill and informative he is with us. Very laid back, honest, and open to any questions. I think he could do these surgeries in his sleep! I was nervous about having the surgery done at TC Thompson because of How bad Erlanger has gone down, but we were truly blessed with the best nurses and staff, AND not to add :) but there was 0 judgement in the agreement of the terrible affects Tylenol has on the body as well. My son is under 3 and requires surgery. I informed him I wanted to think about if we should go ahead with it or wait till he was 3. I called him when I got home to get more information and see what’s the best option to choose. Dr book out was very hateful with me, asking how long our conversation was going to take, and his tone was god awful! I felt as if he was not treating my child as a human and wanted me to rush for a decision.

I drove in from Fayette, Alabama for a "Botox" party that Lena Diaz, who works for Dr. Bookout, was doing. I prepaid for Lip Filler ($225.00) and at the party I paid for "Botox" (160.00) I was told by Lena that I would have a nice full top lip and that the wrinkles on my forehead would be gone. NONE of that came true. No one at the party got the results Lena claimed we would get and several have had terrible side effects. Dr. Bookout has been made aware of this and is REFUSING to address it in any way. We did find out that it was NOT Botox that Lena injected into us and the so called "Lip Filler" wasn't a lip filler that is used on clients wanting Fuller Lips.... I feel like everyone at that party should be given their money back and Lena Diaz should not be allowed to inject anyone else ever!! My nine month old son has had countless ear infections and was scheduled for tubes with dr. Bookout. On the day of surgery he canceled my son as a patient because he was sick with a virus two weeks before the surgery date. Well instead of rescheduling him, the doctor cancels him as a patient for whatever reason we were left in the dark. No phone calls, nothing! This doctor and his staff should be ashamed of themselves. I-lipo and Aesthetics department of Dr. Bookouts Office is the BEST in Chattanooga! I have had different kinds of treatments done and with GREAT results. I will continue to use them and recommend to anyone who ask me. I have used both the aesthetics department and have been seen by Dr. Bookout. I haven’t had any issues with either. The aesthetics department is very well kept up to date, clean, and puts out a comfortable environment. The staff goes over everything you are having done prior,during, and after as well as in the consent forms you have to sign before having anything done, as well as products, and any other questions you may have.Anyone knows that’s one of the most important things you look for...is being able to feel comfortable and stress free while you are having work done. It’s a time to be pampered and not stressed! Although with any aesthetics products anyone can have side effects but if you listen to the DOs and the DONTs and abide by them everything should go well for you. After going to one office for a few years and getting my health all messed up, I tried out Dr. Bookout’s office. All of the staff welcomed me and were very professional. He ran tests and asked for previous records from the offices I was seen at before and found out that I had been misdiagnosed and taking unnecessary medication (for years by the old office i was previously seen at). To begin with they sent forms that are meant for minor children. They need to have the correct forms mailed to the correct patients. The staff was rude, gave dirty looks, and not professional. I waited almost an hour in the waiting room only for them to tell me they weren't going to see me unless I paid the copay. Mind you now I waited for almost an hour and when she told me the copay amount she said that she had that amount since yesterday. So why did it take you almost an hour to process me in the system to be seen?! I told her to bill me and she said, " we cannot bill you you can either pay or not be seen". So I inturn left. All of my doctors have zero problem billing me so that I can submit the bill to my fsa account and have it paid that way. Never in my life have I been treated so poorly by medical staff. I have informed the referring doctor and let her know that this office is not competent enough to treat patients with respect. I have been going to dr bookout since I was a kid. I have NEVER been non compliant or been uneasy to work with on scheduling etc. I’ve always been on time and done what’s right for the procedures etc. my oldest son has been to him to have multiple surgeries for tubes and the most recent time which was a week ago he was scheduled for a surgery with him. He is currently on new medication that he has never taken before and he has to have it. So I reassured myself but asking the hospital when they called would it be ok to give him his medicine the way he normally does which is in a small piece of cheese and they said sure that is okay and to continue to come in. Long story short my husband and I got my son to Erlanger at 630am(my child not eating anything since 7pm the night before) they wait till 830am to say I’m sorry we have to reschedule the appt. Bc he ate a meal. Ummmm NO he didn’t but okay. The next day I call to reschedule and they proceeded to tell me that dr bookout has discharged my child for eating a meal before surgery. And I gave them the lady’s name I spoke with and exact time and everything and told them I had never been mean or non compliant etc that I don’t understand and that it’s not fair that someone told them a lie and now I have to take my child somewhere else. I’m so disgusted with this man and how he is being lately with his patients and not getting the full stories from the parents before discharging them. I will be taking both of my children else where. I have been going to Dr Bookout since my oldest boy was 5. He is now 26 and Dr Bookout has seen my youngest daughter and now my grandson. He is wonderful with the patients and knows what he is doing. The staff has always been courteous and friendly with us. Would refer him to anybody!

Dr. Bookout removed my tonsils about 8 yrs. ago. And I have been trying to get in contact with him every since because I've been having problems. Okay finally got in to see him again sent me for a sinus scan and I miss my appointment to come back and do a follow-up on the scan. Finally he told me everything look good. Okay still having issues called again to make another appointment then I was told he did not take my insurance.

Long wait in waiting room. When we get to the back were in and out very inpersonal. My child has had the same ear infection for 14 months and i get made to feel its my fault because its hard to get a 1yr to take nasty medicine that can not be mixed.

I had an appointment at 2:30 today and was exactly on time with my grandson Dillon. I took off from work half a day,loosing money in my business, signed Dillon out of school early. I was told from his primary doctor to be on time and don't miss the appointment because I want have an other one. Ok I did what I was told .I walked in to Dr Bookout office to sign in my grandson to have his ears checked because he has a tube in his ear..I was told that Dillon was dismissed but I wastill not told why.

Ridiculously long wait time, they wouldn't let me nurse in an empty room (the lobby was packed), we had to nurse in the car. Not baby friendly, but the doctor seemed nice.
