Dr. Mario Ignacio Brakin

My family and i have been going to this endocrinology office for years and have never been so appalled at the behavior of its associates.

Dr. Brakin was our Pediatrician for my 3 children starting about 1983. He is amazing. He would call us at home to make sure our child was doing well, usually in the evening of the day we had been in his office. No other doctor has ever done that. He treated each child with individual care. Not a production doctor. I appreciate his conservative approach for treatment and that he truly listens to the parent. Jamie was the receptionist then. Glad to see she is still with him in a new position.

The best of the best. I have spent years trying to find an adult Endo equivalent, and even though I've found a very good one, I've learned to accept that I'm never going to find one like Dr Brakin. My son was diagnosed at the age of 2 with type 1 diabetes. We met Dr. Brakin at Miller Children Hospital in Long Beach. We love Dr. Brakin and his fabulous staff. Everyone in his clinic gets an A+ in my book! They truly care about you as a person. Dr. Brakin is known for taking a lot of time with his patients therefore does run behind schedule but he is worth it. Dr. Brakin is one of those old school doctors who don't care about the clock and will not run through patients like they are the next person on the list. She's been taking care of our daughter since she was 4 years old and is 11 years old as she had thyroid issues as a young child. We love Dr. Brakin and even his support staff is professional and nice. Sometimes the wait time is over than expected, but his care supercedes that.
