Maridel Aileen Hernandez

Dr. Hernandez is the absolute best! She is extremely through with her diagnosis and treatments, and truly cares about her patients. She takes the time to get to know her patients and takes the time needed during each visit to really deep dive any issues or concerns and discuss comprehensively with her patients, ensuring they have time to understand and ask questions. She goes above and beyond to be accessible. I have lived in many different states and cities, but have never found a better doctor. Even when I lived out of state, I would travel back to MI to go to Dr. H. She really is amazing!

My parents were patients of Dr. Hernandez many many years ago. Medically she treated my parents exceptionally, emotionally she is rare. I have worked in the medical field over 40 years and it is not often (especially in recent decades) to find a physician with knowledge, empathy and time. Fortunately she is now my physician.

I forgot to add I moved to Memphis TN and would drive back to Michigan to keep appointments 4 times a year. I moved back to Mi. 5 years ago although I like the weather better there I will not give up my doctor Maridel A. Hernandez.

She had been my primary care physician since she started her practice I believe it's over 20 years and she has saved my life three times with her incredible wealth of knowledge. I give her a symptom she gets me the test and is always 100% right. If she were accepting more patients I would invite the world to see her. She's extremely compassionate caring and is a doctor that listens to what you're saying about you and your body, mind and Spirit.

I've been going to her since 2008. I even saw her when I didn't have insurance. She's the best and very attentive.

very disappointed when I called my RA doctor wanted me to see her and on the web they say she is taking new patients, when I called a man answered that was not very friendly he just said No she is not taking new patients.. so I guess it was not ment for me to see her .

Doc has been thorough, caring and compassionate, over the span of probably close to 20 yrs being her patient. I have a difficult time seeing her as portrayed by some low ratings. I LOVE DR. HERNANDEZ, I'VE BEEN SEEING HER FOR OVER 10 YEARS, I WOULD SAY I HAVE TO AGREE WITH THE COMMENTS ON HER OFFICE MANAGER THOUGH, BART SEEMS VERY DRY, BORDERLINE RUDE, AND DOESNT ENGAGE WITH THE PATIENTS VERY WELL. HE ALMOST MAKES ME ANXIOUS WHEN I CALL TO GET REFILLS. OTHER THAN THAT I LOVE HER AND AM ALSO EXTREMELY HAPPY SHE MOVED HER OFFICE CLOSER TO MY LOCATION.

Dr Hernandez is a phenomenal doctor. My office visits with her are great. She is so knowledgeable and explains everything to me in language I can comprehend. She never rushes me. Her energy, knowledge, and pleasant, positive attitude puts me at ease. Dr Hernandez goes the extra mile for me and is very accessible. I travel forty five minutes for my office visits and it is so worth it. I would travel longer if need be. Dr Hernandez is Michigan’s “Top Doc”.

Dr Hernandez is the most amazing physician that I've met during my 65 years. She is gentle, empathic and warm. I think if she were among a large group of physicians, she'd be the smartest person in the room. I love her and feel fortunate that she's my family's physician.

Well I did not get to visit, I called to schedule my appointment I was told I could not schedule because they weren't accepting new patients even though the network says they are. However I am glad that I am not able to go because the manager was very rude to me, kept talking over me asking me why did you have medical results sent here and you've never been here, were a private office. I was trying to tell him that on my end it shows that I was accepted and could make a appointment on 7/1/2020. I asked who I am I speaking with this is Bart the manger for here. So even though I heard great things about Dr. Hernadez I feel that the manger should represent you better than Bart did. Health care you would think its a place where people care about people.

The individualized personal care of Dr. Hernandez is excellent. She explains conditions thoroughly and provides prompt action for treatment. Her staff treats her patients as family. A rare find in the medical profession.

She is terrible she is a true drug dealer, knowing someone is addicted to drugs and she continued to give this person the drugs. She only knows how to prescribe,prescribe, prescribe. I begged her to stop and she didnt even care.

I'm a former patient. My mother, who passed away in May of 2016, was a patient of hers and had Stage 4 terminal liver cancer (and a tumor covering HALF of her liver and growing up into her inferior vena cava) that Dr. Hernandez FAILED to detect in spite of serious symptoms spanning several months and TWO previous blood tests showing abnormally elevated liver enzymes. My mother also had constant tachycardia, which Dr. Hernandez "assumed" was my mom's blood pressure medication not working anymore and just switched her prescription instead of thoroughly investigating (even when the tachycardia continued). AND Dr. Hernandez didn't even bother to order an ultrasound or catscan in spite of the multiple alarmingly high liver enzyme blood test results and several months later (and after yet another elevated liver enzyme count) simply told her to "get one with a new doctor" after my mom got settled in another state with my husband and I. A trip to ER was how we found out about the inoperable tumor, the diagnosis, and explanation for all the symptoms. And Dr. Hernandez didn't even bother to return my mom's call (or mine) after she called about her terminal diagnosis in 2016. Gee, I wonder why?! My mother didn't even get a chance to fight her cancer due to Dr. Hernandez's negligence. I'm a former patient. I have been going to Dr.Hernandez for years and years.. She is the BEST Doctor i ever had, she shows compassion to her patients, she explains everything to you where you can understand it. She do not rush you out . She's very caring & concerned about your health. She recommends other Doctors to your for other health issues that she don't specialize in, her staff is nice & friendly . The office is very clean & relaxing atmosphere. Dr. Hernandez is THE BEST doctor I've ever had. I've tried to go to other doctors that were closer to where I currently live or work, but none of them measure up to her. She listens to you. She's not rushing out of the room after a couple of minutes. She will answer any question you have. She is compassionate and kind. I cannot recommend her enough. My whole family goes to her! I love Dr. Hernandez, she is caring, considerate, extremely intelligent...everything you would look for in a physician. My 1 complaint is regarding her office assistant/receptionist Bart...he on the other hand has refused to forward messages to Dr. Hernandez, he is rude assistant and unprofessional. He is a bad representation of what a great physician he works for.

Dr Hernandez is an incredible dr. She sees several of my family members and I have referred many friends, all of whom have been equally happy with her care. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable, she is a patient advocate, and spends the time to figure out exactly what is wrong without giving up. She treats her patients with respect and empowers them to actively participate in their healthcare. she is warm and kind- I don't know where we'd be without Dr. Hernandez---she's truly one of a kind

Dr. Hernandez is an amazing combination of Smartest Guy in the Room and a caring and nurturing individual. She is capable of putting together complex facts and coming out with a correct diagnosis and a treatment plan that works. She will stay with you until all of your concerns are addressed. I have been been her patient for several years and have recommended several family members and friends to her.

Dr. Hernandez is fantastic. Everything you would want from your doctor. She is positive, energetic, and has a we-can-do attitude. I transferred after having been with my previous doctor of 20 years (who retired). I think she is a delight. Just had to make an emergency type appointment. Got me in next day.
