I had Dr Villanueva as my surgeon for colon cancer and a colon hernia a year after surgery. She saved my life. Showed so much empathy and understanding. Couldn’t ask for a better doctor. She also helped me with a diagnosis of C-Diff while I was in hospital and she wasn’t even my doctor at the time. A special lady????????

Dr. V. combined surgical excellence with an empathetic, relatable personality. The rapport I felt with her contributed to my smooth healing. She also kept track of me as I moved through the healthcare system and spoke up for me on several occasions to ensure that I received the most appropriate, effective, and convenient care.

Six months ago Dr. V operated to remove a tumor from my colon. Her work was perfect. She removed the tumor and 19 lymph nodes. Recently I was declared in remission by my oncologist. From my first visit through my last appointment, her explanations were clear, reassuring and helpful, as were her assistant’s. I couldn’t have received better treatment. Thank goodness I was able to have the work done close to home instead of going to Boston.

Dr. Villanueva is an exceptional doctor and I recommend her highly. I have had two surgeries with her and I could not have asked for better care or results. The first surgery was very unexpected and was an emergency and Dr. V. saved my life. I would not be here today without her!

Listened very carefully, asked questions to clarify. Thoroughly investigated health concern before and after surgery. Consulted other doctors and called me personally. Also addressed associated concerns with condition.

Dr.Villanueva gave me my quality of Life back. Her knowledge her kindness is second to None. I had sacral neuromodulation surgery. She corrected a bad surgery I had at the Tougus VA hospital. I would recommend to anyone and any Veteran who has had the nightmare of Tougus. She gave me a life again. :)
