Dr. Maria D Merzouk

Dr. Maria Merzouk at the Meritus Medical Group in Hagerstown, Maryland I recently moved back to West Virginia and had to start all over looking for good doctors. I wanted to find a female GYN and did some research online. I found that Dr. Maria D. Merzouk had many good reviews so I decided to go in for a specific GYN issue. I’m very glad I did. The office and examining room were very clean. Jessica, Dr. Merzouk’s assistant, was as kind and helpful as she could be. I have mobility issues and she gently helped me on and off the table. We chatted before the doctor came in and I was no longer nervous about seeing a new doctor. Within a few minutes Dr. Merzouk came in. She was very pleasant and thorough asking me appropriate questions and listening carefully to my concerns. She was very gentle and sensitive in her examination and evaluation. I really like her and the treatment I received in her office. While I live in Martinsburg, and she practices in Hagerstown, I plan to continue with Dr. Merzouk. Dr. Merzouk is a wonderful and compassionate physician. She performed a major gyn surgery for me and I had no complications whatsoever, even with other compromising health issues. I love her bedside manner, ability to provide medical information in a way that is easy to understand and that she took time to make sure all of my questions and concerns were addressed. I highly recommended her!!!!!!

She is an execellent doctor. She makes you feel comfortable and at ease no matter the situation. Only problem is the office. Wish it was ran better and the front office and nursed stations answered or atleast returned your phone calls.

Dr. Merzouk is an excellent physician. There is no question about her medical skills. The problems you will have are with her personally, i.e. her social skills, and office management. She is not good about returning phone calls. Her office staff is horrendous when it comes to patient interaction-won't schedule follow up appointments because they are "too far out" and then don't send reminders. They just cancel prescription refills leaving your health in jeopardy, and forcing you to call them

Very unprofessional bedside manor, brushes off previous problems and says that they do not matter. Said i had an infection and tried to give me antibiotics when all tests were negative, and there was no infection. I refuse to see this dr in the practice ever again, and if she is at the hospital when its time for me to deliver i will go to a different hospital. She is incaring and just in a rush to get out of the room with the patients.

If you like your appointments being suddenly changed (original appointment canceled and rescheduled to 1pm a few days before your original appointment when you work full time) and no phone call just a letter sent in the mail then this is the office for you! This has happened to me and a couple coworkers on more then one occasion. Dr. Merzouk is great though. Really wish the office was run better.

Dr. Merzouk is a downtoearth, real person and amazing doctor. Her bedside manner is outstanding- she has a comforting and friendly personality that instantly puts you at ease even in the very worst situations. She is not just a trusting dr but she really understands each person is unique and provides the best treatment for each patient. Her entire staff are professional and sympathetic to each patient's needs. This is the doctor you can count on and trust in.

Dr. Merzouk is very friendly and makes you feel at ease. Concerned with your overall health and asks questions that you wouldn't expect. Takes her time to insure you're being properly cared for.
