Ms. Maria Cristina Cardozo

I WOULD NEVER recommend this counselor to anyone. My appointments were done by telehealth. First of all, I felt like she had no idea how to be a counselor. I felt like she wasn't really listening to me, and she had no idea how to respond to what I was going through. Secondly, I had an appointment scheduled via phone with her. When she called me she was panicked, upset about something that was going on in our country. Her words to me were "I can't meet with you today. Do you know what's going on in our country? I'm too upset, I just can't meet with you. I don't know; you'll have to call for another day." It's a good thing I was not in crisis or her panic did not trigger a trauma." I have never experienced something so unprofessional. Do not use her as a counselor. If I could give her 0 stars I would.

Dr. Cardoza is patient and concerned about her clients. She has recommended seeking other service professionals when she saw I needed them. She does not speak just to make her clients feel good, instead, the goal is clear to help balance and restore emotional and mental health.

Dr. Cardoza has been my children's regular weekly therapist. Each visit, she meets with myself and/or my husband first. This is helpful so we can work as a team on my children's issues as well as how we can better parent them. She works with each of them individually on various issues, and has been immensely helpful in her approaches with each of them. She has a wealth of experience, and is dedicated to building healthy emotional and psychological wellbeing in my kids. She is proactive in her approach, and is communicative.

Therapist is more concerned about getting paid than actually helping people. Cancel my appointment because they didn't have my insurance information.

WORST I would leave 0 stars if possible.Most unprofessional office I have ever encountered. The office help are very unorganized, refuse to help, rude, and disrespectful. I never even got to speak with Mrs. Cardozo but her staff after hearing my sons situation said she wouldn't help him! She claims her specialty is children, but then refuses service to a child in need of someone to talk to about being bullied. Ridiculous! Do not bring your poor children to this office where they don't care abo
